We are from Canada and decided to come to Gran Canaria to celebrate my birthday. We could not have chosen a better place to stay than the Serenity Amadores. Staff is incredible, hotel is spotless, the little store has a little produce section and the views are amazing! We rented a motorcycle on my actual birthday and drove to the highest point on the island which was ridiculously beautiful! We travel constantly and would never stay in the same place twice but we will make an exception when we come back to GC. Thanks for the birthday bubbly! Grateful we chose to stay with you!

Stayed here with my daughter from 22-26th June. This is a small, beautifully cared for complex situated on the hill above Amadores beach. On arrival at approx 9pm we were met by Anna who gave us the keys to our room, explained the place to us and ordered us a taxi as we wanted to head straight to Puerto Rico for food. After a very relaxing nights sleep we went down to the small shop at reception to buy some food for breakfast. This shop is very small but stocks most things you’ll need and at very reasonable prices. Pool opens at 9am and they have a strict policy of not reserving seats, which really worked well. It was never very crowded anyway but we never had a problem - even after lunch. The pool area, like all the complex is spotless and it’s very pleasant to spend time there. There is a small gym area overlooking the pool. Didn’t use it so can’t comment on the equipment. Our apartment was gorgeous, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Very large balcony with sun loungers, table and chairs overlooking the bay. I injured my foot while I was there so we taxied everywhere - taxis were cheap at around €5 each way to Puerto Rico and back. Staff at the complex were so lovely. Elena and Anastasia could not have been more pleasant and indeed Elena was extremely helpful to me when I hurt my foot. Reception is attended from 8am until 9pm. There is no one there overnight. All in all this is a very quiet complex. Do not go here unless you want to totally chill out. We loved it and look forward to returning in the future. It is indeed a hidden gem.

We have just returned from a week at Serenity and it was really fantastic. We are a middle aged couple with our teenage daughter. It’s a small complex of apartments looking out onto the ocean from high up the rock. There is a beautiful pool. The whole place is calm and relaxing. There is a small shop providing essentials at a reasonable price. The team that work there are so helpful and friendly, also speaking English which helped us enormously. The complex is about a 15 min walk down to the beach. It’s a tough walk back up or €3 in the always available taxis. The beach is gorgeous, small but it never seemed over busy. The restaurants aren’t great on the beach. I think I would prefer next time to buy food at one of the larger supermarkets and cook in the apartment at Serenity. The only restaurant we found that I would recommend is Webers. Great wine/ food and the service owner Maurice is a great guy. Back to the complex, Serenity has a very small gym type room with a couple of machines. The pool was never busy. You get a huge balcony with 2 sun loungers on it and there are plenty of loungers by the pool that didn’t seem to get too busy. The apartment was very clean. We had one bedroom and a put you up bed in the main room for our daughter. The maid service is excellent. The apartment had a small kitchen with a toaster/ microwave/ kettle/ hob. You can order pizza/ pasta delivery which I can highly recommend. We had a couple of nice days out. One was Aqualand at Maspalomas. A cab there was €25. I bought tickets through trip advisor before we went and I don’t think they were a lot cheaper than buying on the day except you don’t have to queue when you get there. Once inside we bought fast track tickets for €12 each which in my view are a must. Aqualand was a great day out. The rides are good, staff are on the ball (ie sometimes you can get groups of youngsters who can be a bit boisterous, and staff were quick to break these up). Sun loungers are €4 each. Food is diabolical both quality and price so take your own. Another activity we did was the dolphin watching; that was fantastic. Just getting out on a nice big catamaran and watching the dolphins; amazing. I really enjoyed our stay at Serenity. It’s perfectly named. Thanks to the hard working team there; you helped make our stay fantastic.

I’d like to express my deepest appreciation to the receptionist of Serenity Amadores apartment complex Anastasia who has been very kind and helpful to us during all our stay, helping to solve our problems with the damaged car, going with us to police station and translating into Spanish (they speak pure English there) all day long, making long tel calls to a different departments. We could not have made it without her. Thanks again, Elena.
