Detailed Reviews
The b&b is cozy, clean, nice rooms, good facilities with a great atmosphere. Free and safe parking in front of the house. It has an amazing view and great breakfast! I don't remember the name of the lady owner but she was so loving and friendly. Thank you very much!

We stayed here for two nights and I cannot thank Joan enough for her hospitality and care. The room was spacious, the bed super comfortable and the view absolutely breathtaking. There is an extra single bed in the room for a third person. Upon arrival we were treated with tea and warm apple pie with fresh cream. In the room we found chocolates and cookies. I loved that there is a heating ventilator switch next to the light switch of the bathroom: in no time the bathroom is nice and warm for those cold Irish evenings! We had a lovely breakfast. This place feels like home.
The beach is right at your doorstep. Do take a walk during low tide, so amazing. I can fully support the excellent 9.6 TripAdvisor rating. It was so worth staying here!

If we could, we would have stayed a week, just so we could soak up that fabulous view every day. The breakfast was wonderful as well, the house and the hospitality and the hostess, Joan, were all just grand!! Kilmacale House B & B is a true jewel.

Joan is an excellent host who makes the very best apple pie. When we arrived she made reservations for supper at a local restaurant. The Pink Elephant, which was scrumptious. When we returned she had warmed apple pie with real cream, she had made the pie. It was the topping on the cake !
The room were clean, comfortable and quite large. The view of the bay was spectacular.

Joan is a pro when it comes to hosting guests at a B&B. Even though we stayed only briefly, it was a highlight of our trip to Ireland. The setting along the water is wonderful, the breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are well maintained and extremely comfortable. You will not regret staying here, Joan is extremely kind, hospitable and a very caring host.

We checked in very late and the landlady was so nice as she tried to direct us to some place that still was open for eating. When we got back from eating our nice little landlady was waiting for us with hot apple pie and whipped cream. The house is a gorgeous building on a piece of land with a view to die for. The rooms were very nice and appointed so well. All was clean and up to date.
