You cannot go wrong at Astra Suites. This was a first time visit for my family. We wanted the "cave" room experience, a pool, and room for our family (teenagers). Astra Suites checks all of the boxes. Service is top notch. For those who haven't been, let me explain that Santorini is very "hilly". That should seem obvious by the pictures, but I don't think I understood the reality. They have porters who meet you to grab your bags (thank the Good Lord) and their staff is extremely helpful. We had a family suite which had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. My family loved their pool. To try to explain the layout of the property (since I didn't understand it completely) - because it's built on the side of a mountain (volcano), the property has levels. Around the middle level (as best as I can explain it) there is a public path where people from any resort, any restaurant can pass by. Our family suite was in this middle tier. But even our property had a couple of steps up from the path and a large-ish porch set off of the path so that people walking didn't bother us. I included a picture of the view from our door and onto the patio with a view. From that picture - on the other side of the lounge chairs is the path people use. But because we are a few steps up from the path, you only see people from about torso up if that. Regardless, we loved our room and that's exactly where we'd stay again. For us, the location was perfect. From the middle tier, the "office" and pool are below us and other rooms are above, beside, and below. The pool was wonderful. Not super big, but just right. Nicos was a great bartender. Also to explain a little about the area for the uninitiated and because I didn't truly understand myself until we got there... Imerovigli is about 20+ minutes from Oia and about 5-10 minutes from Fira. But of those, Imerovigli is less "crowded". There are few shops and the road there is too tiny to get a bus full of tourists up to it, so the result is less crowds than either Fira or Oia. If you want to be in the thick of it each morning you walk out your door, then Imerovigli may not be the best option. But it you'd rather sleep in a less touristy area that still has the white cliff look while still being able to visit the others, then it may be perfect. We prefer the latter. We were honestly sad to leave.

This was *the* nicest hotel/suites I’ve been to! Million dollar views, service was outstanding, rooms were well decorated and spacious! Regarding the view, this suite is on the west side of island and allows for amazing sunsets! Our first night there, we purposely had room service dinner on our balcony just to watch the sunset. Anyone else on the island not on the west side, usually heads to Oia and crams themselves into one tiny west facing area to see it. Service was one of the best. Included breakfast each morning on your balcony in which you select your order each night and set up time to eat. They call before they come and will pick up right after you are done, it’s 100x better than any other hotel I’ve stayed at. They also recommend a wonderful private island tour that went to a few places we never would had gone - a working monastery at the top of island, and wine/food tasting event at one of the wineries. Our travel agent recommended this hotel and said if you want to splurge on one thing in Greece, it would be this. And she was 100% right!

Absolutely loved our two night stay here! Wish that we had more time to spend at this exceptional hotel. The family suite was beautiful. The view from the room was simply gorgeous. The service was outstanding!! They arranged COVID testing to be performed in our room. They were able to arrange transportation needs for everything we did with no problem. Loved the location. Quiet but close enough without being immersed in the tourist scene. Breakfast was served on our balcony every morning. Also enjoyed a lovely sunset dinner at their restaurant, Five Senses. Really could not have asked for a better stay! Highly recommend having them arrange transportation to and from the port.

I found Astra Suites on Mr and Mrs Smith and chose it based on the reasonable price point for a luxury hotel in Imerovigli. I was completely blown away by the hotel - it is even more beautiful than the photos. My boyfriend and I booked a Senior Suite and it was huge with a pretty private balcony and a direct view of the caldera and volcano. The pictures of the rooms online don't do it justice. George and all the staff were extremely helpful with changes, booking cars, dinner reservations and COVID tests to come to the hotel. The pool was not crowded and was great, we spent a few days there drinking cocktails with Nikos the bartender and swimming. We also had 2 dinners at Five Senses the hotel restaurant and loved it - go at sunset! Its right next to the Auberge and some other great spots, so you can easily walk to dinners. I will 100% return to Astra, I actually think it's under priced for the service and location, and I highly recommend it for couples or a chill group of friends looking to relax.

Astra suites offered my friends and I the PERFECT experience of Santorini! From the very moment we arrived to the hotel the service was outstanding, and that should be highlighted because the beautiful premises of the hotel would be nothing without the friendly and willing to help personnel. Our room/suite was clean and with a beautiful interior design and with an outstanding view, offering a great view of the sunset (better than Oia and Fira). The highlight of the trip was the complimentary breakfast we ate every morning in our balcony, which is something I will never forget. The great choices in terms of breakfast coupled with the breathtaking view of the volcano, Oia, Skarag and Akrotiri is something that will accompany me all winter. The hotel is also in a great location, close to Fira and Oia, but Imerovigli does not feel touristy and offers visitors the chance to relax and get away from the intense experience in Santorini’s most popular places. We also had dinner at the Five Senses restaurant. Words cannot describe the experience, I’m definitely recommending this to anyone who wishes to have dinner in a peaceful environment and taste high quality Greek cuisine. I am definitely recommending Astra Suites to anyone wishing to visit Santorini! Will absolutely come back again next year! Thank you for everythiny!
