This is a working farm, not a five star hotel, but if you want hospitality, super efficient owners, and an extremely comfortable place to stay, you have certainly come to the right place. We occupied room #4, with balcony and an adjacent small living room with TV that can be made into sleeping quarters. Nice modern bathroom, with plenty of...

This B&B is so wonderful! Extremely clean and quaint. The owners are delightful and passionate about their service. It felt peaceful and relaxing. It was heartwarming to watch how loving this family is to all of God's creatures. Fresh bread, good hot coffee, homemade cheese, milk and Eggs from the chickens out back. We felt so welcomed and comfortable. We...

Our 2nd visit in 2 1/2 years was a contrast to the 1st, as the area was covered in snow the 1st time round and although the scenery took on a whole new look, the Mayringerlehen was just as enchanting. When you stay with the Grassls you feel very much at home, they are charming people. It's a working farm...

We stayed in the holiday flat which was a self-contained unit at the back of the chalet which houses both the hotel and the family home. The hotel/rental business is part of the traditional family farm which is mainly dairy but includes hens, goats and other petting animals. Herr and Frau Grassl and their young adult children, who are most...

The room was lovely and affordable at 30 euros per person per night, with a balcony and a mountain view. The included breakfast was fab, with fresh eggs, cold cuts, homemade mozzarella, and the most delicious raw milk from their cows that morning. Ramsau isn't the most convenient location- it's small and a little isolated, especially if you're relying on...

This was an absolutely amazing place to stay. The location is incredibly pretty. The hosts were very welcoming and you could tell that they had put a lot of thought into the little details to make their guests comfortable. They even provided a hot water bottle in our room! The breakfast provided was amazing, and even included home-made cheese. Parking...

What an excellent place to stay! We were so warmly welcomed by the whole family and given plenty of information about getting around and sights to see, places to eat etc. Ramsau is about 2.5 miles from Hintersee, which is a beautiful walk along an icy blue coloured creek. There are also a few local restaurants in the area, to...

The Grassl's are terrific hosts. My only regret is I was only there for one night. The Pension is very clean and comfortable with a great continental breakfast. Eggs, cheese, meats and breads are from local providers. Ramsau is a beautiful village twenty minutes from Berchtesgaden. Frau Grassl even provided transportation from the Berchtesgaden Bahnhof. A memorable stay!

4 years have passed since our first visit & sometimes its at the back of your mind that maybe its not always a good idea to revist somewhere. This is not one of them occasions, it was like stepping back in time and meeting old friends, nothing seems to have changed. This is an area of Germany that oozes charm...

We just returned from 2 weeks of Europe and absolutely LOVED this spontaneous trip to Ramsau. The family is amazing, the house and rooms are clean and special and they make sure that you have everything you need. The area is centrally located to all the local attractions, but we found that we wanted to spend a day out on...
