Overall it's a decent hotel but don't expect anything other than the minimum required for a 2*, and improvements should be made:
- in the bathtub, a little tedious to take a shower: the water flows half through the bathtub faucet and half through the shower
- individual bars of soap as shower gel/shampoo to help!! It's from another time
WiFi is free but non-existent!!
As for breakfast: what a disappointment! The breakfast tables are set the day before, the jams sit overnight in uncovered, unprotected pots, the same goes for the brioche which is sliced the day before! Suffice to say that in the morning it is dry! And the pastries are blackened from the oven rack! No fruit, no cereals, only butter and jams. Damage
One positive point however: the sauna and jacuzzi! Access to the 3 activities with the hammam, and good quality facilities, don't hesitate to take advantage of them!

All in all, it is a correct hotel, without more. The room I met, very small, just like the bathroom. Dinner didn't like much, a buffet of overly processed salads and a not very appetizing frozen fish. Breakfast was no big deal. The terrace at the entrance is fine, the parking is large. At night you hear too much of the road through the hotel door.

We stayed for a week of skiing at our favourite alpine resort. Puy st Vincent is a relaxed, family resort and this hotel fits in perfectly. The staff are very friendly and will always trt to help. English speaking is not great but we are in France after all.
The food is outstanding, go for the half board and you will dine like a king. We needed diets on our return but it gave us the strength for the slopes.

We packaged the ski pass, making the daily rate very good value. Extras such as steam room and sauna were excellent and table tennis a bonus!

If you like the resort, drop the chalet and stay here, much simpler. Strike a deal with the ski shop at 1400 and just walk to the ski lift, perfect.

A great find! Hôtel rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need. The bathroom had been recently renovated, by the look of it. The Hôtel breakfast is basic but perfect ahead of a day skiing - breads, jams, cheese, cereals, fruit, coffee. Dinner in the evening was very tasty and wholesome - we ate twice in the restaurant from the a la carte menu and would recommend.

The staff were all very friendly and warm.

A great place - would certainly return!

My boyfriend and I stayed two night at Hotel Aigliere for a skiing mountains. Our ensuite room was very warm and cosy with a good sized balcony with comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy the tranquility and lovely view of the mountains. There was always hot water at all times of the day.

We were offered a buffet breakfast with fresh bread, pastries and fruit and unlimited juices and hot drinks.

The spa facilities for €10/person for an hour were lovely and clean. On our second night we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The food was very delicious and fresh with fair prices.

Hotel Aigliere is a family friendly and family run establishment. My boyfriend and I were greeted every day with very warm smiles from the staff and we had pleasant conversations with the ladies in reception as well as the chef. We were made to feel very welcome. The hotel has several communal areas with a living room type set up and next to the spa is a games' room with a ping pong table.
You have use of free WiFi in the hotel bar. The Wi-Fi doesn't extend to the bedrooms so if you are someone who needs to work online in your room and you have data from your mobile phone, then you will be just fine. But I think most people come to ski and to enjoy the surrounding nature and to disconnect for a few days.

I highly recommend Hotel Aigliere and we would definitely stay again!

Dear traveler, We are very happy to read your feedback! It is a great reward for all our staff to know that you enjoyed your stay with us so much. We offer comfortable rooms with a typical mountain decoration and a breathtaking view. I am delighted to see that you have enjoyed all the services we offer: our spa, ideal for relaxation, our restaurant with its gourmet dishes and our full and varied breakfast. It is little moments like that that make your stay exceptional. All the teams will be delighted to see you again very soon to repeat this pleasant experience in the heart of the Parc des Écrins. I just spent 3 nights in this full board establishment to hike snowshoes with a guide. The hotel is run by very professional people. Not to mention the chef who is very careful to treat all these hungry mouths. It's a pleasure to put him at the table. You come by train, from the Argentière station, buses drop us right outside the hotel, the top.

I haven't been treated so badly in my life. It's a hotel I'm never going back to.
The room was nothing otherworldly but not bad (despite the 2 huge spiders on the wall and some other bug on the floor). But worst of all was the (bad) treatment of what I think is the hotel manager, a lady who speaks no language other than French and who seems to hate those who do not speak it perfectly or simply do not speak it. In addition, he has tried to con us with dinner (they have a system that nobody explains and they make you pay 28€ per person). Two of the young waitresses were dead ashamed of how the woman had treated us, they didn't know what to say.
Honestly, it messed up our day there, we just wanted to leave. We will return to the place, which is very nice but we will definitely look for another hotel, which there are many.

We spent 5 days with family in this hotel where everything was perfect from the welcome, the staff and all the staff!
Meals, rooms, cleanliness and finally the kindness of the owners.
When I read some comments I think that these people must be confusing the establishment!
Excellent address
And for the wi-fi we don't care a bit
3G is available and you can cut yourself off and enjoy the mountains

Not recommended at all. Rude receptionist who doesn’t explain anything and then blame the guest. None of the personnel spoke a single foreign language so nobody was able to explain anything. The dinner was a mess. No Wi-Fi! Food quality was fine but overpriced considering the mediocre service.
Not recommended, especially for international visitors.

Dear traveller, We are very sorry that your experience at the Hôtel L'Aiglière 2* has been affected by the language barrier and we are very sad to see your relentlessness on several platforms. First of all, let me apologise for the welcome you received. Although we are a family-run establishment in an authentic mountain setting, this in no way justifies a lack of courtesy on our part. A point has been made with the staff. As far as dinner is concerned, we regret that you were not satisfied with the service. Our commitment is to offer a traditional and generous cuisine, highlighting the products of our rich terroir. Our prices are in line with those of our resort and the season. For the wifi connection, there is a notice board in the entrance hall and an information book in the rooms translated into English with the restaurant, swimming pool and spa timetables and explanations of the wifi codes in the rooms. We look forward to welcoming you back and showing you the true mountain hospitality we know so well. Engilberge family Hotel L'Aiglière 2* Owner-Managers 04 92 23 30 59
