Detailed Reviews
This is the only line about the skiing possiblities of Puy Saint Vincent, which is not the best out there, but is still a nice middle sized ski resort in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the residence, which mostly follows the code: "You get what you paid for and nothing more."
We rented a 6 person apartment (4 adults and one teen) and fortunatelly there were only 5 of us, otherwise I honestly don't know how all of us could sleep in there. It's just so crammed and small. For example the inner bunkbed room is just a bit bigger than a large closet. On the other hand it has everything you nedd for a one week stay: seperate bathroom and toilet, moderate equipped kitchen and enough furniture for 6 persons.
The biggest plus is that we had a large balcony with the view of the ski pistes and outside swimming pool. The pool is also a nice addition, but be warned, if things get out of hand with jumping, swimming naked and so on (like they did in the case of our company), there is a big possibility that the staff will close the pool for two or three days. ;)
If you're looking for a cheap family resort this is your thing, but if you're on a skiing trip with you're fellow basketball team, this resort might not be physicaly big enough for all of you.

If You go in France to ski You must know that acommodation isn`t perfect, but skiing is amazing.
This residenc is ok, quite enough for everybody who wont spend little time in apartment and lot of time on slopes. resort is good, snow quality is good, prices of food ar a little high, but it is nice ski center and nice apartments. PSV is not big resort, but You heve everithing what You need. This residence have free sauna and outside swimingpool with hot water. One bad thing is internet. When it it`s snowing outside doesnt work and is to slow. Only in reception area is good, but when weather is nice. Slopes are in front of residenc and You can ski-in and ski-out to ski room. Average residens and good skiing. If You have Galaxie skipass u can go one day to ski in Serre Chevaliere (40km) nice ski resort and to Les 2 Alpes, Sestriere, Montegevere, Alpe d`huez....
Residence is 200m from main hotel in PSV and from Sherpa shop, but on serpentines. You will need som 20 minutes downhill and 30 min uphill. But ther is free shuttle bus every 20 min.
Room are very worm with good heating. And rooms are not big.

The apartments are on 1800 height right next to the ski slopes. There is a shop nearby open until 7pm but with limited choice and a bigger shop on 1600 height around 15 minutes walk down. Also in the main building there is a restaurant/pizzeria. We had a 6 person apartment on the main floor.
The few good thing were the microwave& dishwasher in the kitchen unit. As well separate toilet and bathroom . From the negatives is really the small space for 6 people and gets crowdy, as well all appliance where a bit old eg the bathtube was leaking, the sliding doors where really hard to close.
Overall if you are a skier who goes out at 8 and comes back in the evening it;s a good spot to stay Slthough you need to remember that it's on top of the mountain so if you plan to ski on other resorts there is a 20 minutes down road until you reach the main road.

Nice location but very poor and dirty accomodation. We booked two houses in september with only one wish that we would like to have two houses close to the ski ciurse. We arrived and the management gave us the last apartements from the ski course without terace. When i asked for some other the manager told me that he is not able to help me because we did not book straight at him. They were not full. He could help us but he did not do it.
The apartements were dirty when we arrived. On the end of the week we cleaned the place and ask them for the deposit back. They checked the place and told us clean again. We cleaned again but was not enough. They took 200 euros from the deposit.
They are THIEFS and have very bed attitude.

We came back every year here, because we had really good experiences with this house back in the days...
When we have arrived the house was not clean at all and we had to clean it when we left. That’s okay, we have done this every year.
This time they didn’t accept our cleaning and charged us 100€ for NOTHING. We left the house more clean as it was... When we asked them what’s the problem with the apartment the answer was: ,,I not speak English” . They charged us because they needed the money...
We will never come back for sure.

Standard but affordable self-catered accommodation. Ski-out. To ski-in requires rather a following wind! Quite a nice outdoor swimming pool. Reception is not open for very long hours (e.g. does not open until 9am and closes by 7pm).

We stayed at Parc aux Etoiles residence in Puy St Vincent during christmas week. The residence is advertised as sleeping four people in one double room and one bunk bed room. We had a fifth person on the sofa but could have squeezed 6 in as the sofa had a sixth bed underneath. Apartment is small and a squeeze for five/six people but it is very cheap and very warm and has everything you need if you just want to ski. if you want to spend a lot of time in your residence - don't book this one. Very close to the ski hire shop one restaurant and a very short walk to the slopes. Good bus service down to the main resort area.
Puy itself is a small, family resort - very good for beginners and intermediates but advanced skiers will cover the whole area in less than a day.
