This hotel is not smart but is clean and comfortable and quaint. It is a family run place and the hostess is very helpful and pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the walk-in shower hot and powerful. Our rooms were on the top floor and there was no lift. This was not a problem to us with the bags as...

Toul is an unassuming little town with a disproportionally magnificent cathedral serving Metz, Verdun etc. Worked for us as an overnight stopover en route between UK and skiing in Austria. This little hotel is centrally located, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable, elegant in classic French style. Hostess very warm, friendly and helpful.

We arrived late on a public holiday so our choices were very limited. Person at reception was very friendly so I guess this always helps. This is an old hotel that could do with refurbishment, the room was very clean but you still felt you needed your shoes on. Breakfast was very ordinary and we had to keep asking for...

As other reviewers have already said, this is a real gem. The art nouveau building has been decorated with sympathy and flair, and the owners could not have been more friendly or helpful. We stayed in a room which has been recently created from two small attic rooms, and has great, slightly quirky decor and a lovely new bathroom. There...

We stayed here for one night. We were lucky to get parking as the parking lot didn't seem to be large enough for all the guests of the hotel. We stayed in a room on the top floor which was quite unfunfortunate as it was 36 degrees outside and felt like double in our room. Bed was ok and bathroom small...

We stayed here for one night travelling through France. The room was good, the breakfast the say you would likenit, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Accross the street there is a good restaurant, which is very convenient for travellers.

If you travel by yourself, ask for room 11. It's quiet, overlooks the (free) parking lot and you will have sun from morning to evening. The small bathroom is totally renovated with energy-saving equipment and the bed is so comfortable, you'll want to buy one "to go"! Located is the center of town this little gem is owned by a...

I've stayed in a lot of 2 star hotels in France, in towns like Toul (not perhaps everyone's first-choice tourist destination), and this hotel puts many of them to shame. It's in an excellent location, close to the historic centre of the city, and with shops nearby (including a supermarket almost next door) and a restaurant opposite. But the real...

We stayed at Hotel Villa Lorraine for a couple of nights in April, 2011 and can thoroughly recommend this very pleasant hotel in Toul. Our room, situated at the rear of the hotel had been recently renovated The hosts were most welcoming and helpful with our various requests and the ambience of the hotel is warm and quite charming. The...
