Hotel Villa Les Orangers is located in the stunning village of Olmeto, high above the bay of Propriano. The views are amazing and the village is beautiful if somewhat hairy to drive through! So be warned there is a one-way traffic light system and coming up from the bay, the hotel in on the right of the road whilst you are flying through the one-way part. There is a 2-level car part opposite the hotel, on the left so you need to quickly park in there - it's driving in Corsica for you! The hotel is lovely at first, overlooking the valley, with a pool and two large sitting areas on the back terraces....with no shade anywhere, so under the Corsican sun no one is going to venture out there for very long! In fact we didn't see anyone in the outdoor areas and just a few people in the pool after 6pm when it's cooler. There are no indoor seating areas so it's your room or the (expensive - we ate elsewhere) restaurant. Our room was the cheapest option and as such was right behind the reception area on the ground floor, with windows overlooking the outdoor areas. The insulation must be very poor as we could distinctly hear people walking and moving on the floor above us late into the night. Apart from that the room was very nice but with both windows right at the level of people walking past to/from the restaurant we had to keep our shutters closed otherwise they could get a direct view into our room and toilets! The bathroom was ok and had seen better days but could have done with a thorougher cleanup as the ledge above the shower was full of empty hotel shampoo and body wash bottles. It's a shame as this hotel has so much to offer and is in such a beautiful spot that it could easily fix a few things and get a 5-rating from me.…

Great choice of breakfast and very good food on offer in the evenings. Excellent views and friendly staff in spite of language barrier. Our room was nice and modern, with efficient and quiet air con and we heard no noise from adjacent rooms or the road. We slept very well in a large, comfortable bed and enjoyed the excellent en suite shower room. There are two lovely swimming pools, both with accompanying views and sun loungers. There is also free parking nearby and Olmeto is well-placed for visiting beaches and towns such as the delightful Sartene. Highly recommended, though with Olmeto's steep slopes and steps, not really suitable for those with mobility issues.

Today we visited the restaurant of the hotel. The terrace has a wonderful view over the mountains and the bay of Propriano. The service was very friendly and the menu had a wonderfull variaty of fish and meat. Thank you for a nice evening in a good athmosphere.

Made a reservation and H charged me a prepayment which is ok, was stated in the conditions. I cx the room free of charge. prepayment must be refunded by H but so far (after weeks) nothing happened. Not replying to emails, calls, no explanation no excuse. Good we didn t stay there. Watch out.

Lovely hotel and a great, very spacious room. We loved the decor and views and the location in between the sea and the mountains. It was nice and quiet, just off the main road in Olmeto. The Internet did not work well in the room, which was really the only downside. It is quite unassuming upon arrival, but the back of the house, the pool and rooms make more than up it.

Perfect location in a quaint mountain village but near the beach and attractions. The owners and their family were so nice, accommodating of our toddler's needs, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. The food at the restaurant was excellent - both breakfast and dinner offered simple, home-made, delicious corsican cuisine. The breathtaking views were an unexpected bonus.

A find in Olmeto, this lovely, charming, small and friendly hotel with just a handful of rooms offers a spot to really relax in this village setting. Set below the road the hotel was at first hard to find, but the welcome from the hosts was second to none. The room was sympathetically decorated with stylish antique furniture and large french windows opened onto a small private balcony, with views over the maquis covered mountains. Food was good and breakfast was copious, will return!
