Went there for dinner numerous times with my family whilst in Austria on holidays. The staff is friendly and helpful and whilst the restaurant is very busy all the time service is given with a smile. The food was good, portions generous and not expensive either. I think next time I will book into the hotel as well. If you... More

We have eaten at this excellent Gasthof from time to time over the past 35 years and have never had any complaint. We always wondered what it was like to stay here since what we could see was rather special. So this year we stayed. Service, as always was friendly and extremely good. The food was again excellent. Our room... More

Unfortunately I had to cancel my reservation because I became ill and had to hospitalized in Germany. I was advised to return to the USA for medical follow-up. The Hotel Gruenauerhof refused to cancel my reservation despite offering to fax them the paperwork from the hospital. I was changed for a single night. This hotel demonstrated the ultimate disregard for... More

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Gruenauerhof in September and enjoyed everything about our visit. This family-owned and run hotel is first class in every way. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We visited the Gruenauerhof three years ago and were warmly welcomed by staff we remembered.. The food is excellent --... More

If you want to stay at a first class hotel on an average budget this is the place. My wife and I stayed 3 nights while celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. Rooms are immaculate . The food is the best we had during our 22 day stay in Europe. The family run hotel makes you feel like family. Many of... More

We stay there with my husband for 3 nights in 2005! We went back to Salzburg last year but unfortunately we stayed in Munich! So beutiful hotel, warm, with clean, big wooden rooms (typical austrian style) , very good hospitality and very good breakfast. The food at the reastaurant was also very good. The hotel is very close to Salzburg... More

I stayed for one night in Grünauerhof for a business trip to a company in Salzburg which recommended it, even though is place is clearly a tourist hotel and not a business one. A downside is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms, especially because it was a really hot summer day (30°C) - at least they provide you... More

This is a very nice hotel just a short distance outside of the center of Salzburg. We stayed there several times. Rooms are beautifully furnished country style, clean and spacious with large and beautiful bathrooms. Food ist excellent and prices are reasonable. Service also used to be quite good. Unfortunately, last time was a big disappointment. The problem is that... More

This was a very delightful place to spend a week in December. Very good service, comfortable and all required amenities were available: underground garage as well as parking in front of the hotel (really plenty of parking spots), suitable for winter sports as well as relaxing. Rooms were really large and comfortable, bathroom immaculate clean and the staff was speaking... More
