Simply stellar from beginning to end. The accommodations, staff, food and spirit of this place are truly amazing and so very aligned with the warm, wonderful spirit of Costa Rican pura vida. We'd go back in a minute. Bravo!

Manoas hosted a group of about 30 of us, including children, who rented out the whole property for a week. They tailored all of their services and schedules to our needs and also helped plan some events and gave valuable guidance on places to go and things to do. Their chef Lucy was outstanding and Steve took great care of...

Our family of 4 from Canada arrived at Manoas in early February for 3 nights. We were instantly excited and pleased the moment we drove onto the property! This place is set in such a cool location and is so meticulously maintained that you can't help but marvel at its beauty. We stayed at Casa Heliconia and were absolutely in...

My husband and I stayed in a luxury tent for 3 nights. We loved every minute of our stay. The tent was spacious and comfortable. We slept soundly under the ceiling fan. I loved being next to the river and able to amble around and explore the property at ease. I got some great photos. Steve (the owner) was incredibly...

Myself, my partner and our 9 month old baby stayed here for 6 nights. We had originally planned 4 but loved it so much we didn't want to leave and just couldn't think of anywhere they could possibly match up to Manoas. We stayed in one of the tents which are incredible! They're huge with tiled floors, fans, fully equipped...

Wow! Thank you so much for your kind words. I truly enjoyed getting to know your beautiful family - Honey is absolutely adorable. I'm also glad your experience (and the food) was so memorable! Thanks to Ashley for surfing with me - I'm sure you're missing the warm tropical ocean right about now. :D I'll send photos from Cesar of...

We stayed for 3 nights at one of the luxury tents. It was our first time "glamping" so we weren't quite sure what it would be like but it is an experience unlike any other. The tents are indeed luxury tents! They have a deck with tables and chairs, a full bathroom and spacious sleeping area with a small coffee...

Hi Samantha! Thank you for a great explanation of our tents and your experience at Manoas! The Safari Tents are definitely the best way to experience the jungle without compromising comfort :) I enjoyed spending time with you both & learning about all of your travel experiences! Hope to see you in Uvita again soon ~ Steve

This was my absolute favourite place in Costa Rica. It's 2.5 km up a little mountain road - rent a 4x4 as it's very useful for driving to anywhere wonderful in Costa Rica - and the setting is stupendous. We glamped in one of the well situated tents (there are three). Patio, tiled floor, separate bathroom facilities with a safe...

Zoe, I'm so glad you enjoyed your experience at Manoas. There truly is something magical about waking up to the bird song first thing in the morning - it is the best way to start the day! First off: I wish I had known that Manoas was up a steep and rocky road. My little rental car made it with lots of cringing and careful tire placement, but I wished I was in an SUV. This place is pretty awesome. It's tucked away in the jungle above Uvita with an awesome view of the mountain behind you....

Hi Jesse, I'm glad you found Manoas (and the breakfast) to be so awesome! I agree, it's definitely best to rent a 4x4 SUV - not just to get to Manoas - but for a lot of the hidden gems in Uvita! It was great ringing in the New Year with you both - come back soon! Pura Vida~Steve

From the minute we arrived we could feel the relaxed atmosphere. The sights and sounds of the 2 rivers meeting reminds you that you are in the rain forest. Our hosts were so welcoming and breakfast was great! The best papaya and it was picked 50ft from our door. We are already planning our next trip back to Manoas!
