Nicely decorated room with adequate space. Comfortable bed. Quite difficult to find. No English spoken and not much information on places to visit.Parking was available. Some English channels on the TV.

The room is OK, and the restaurant is good. It is a quiet place during the day. There a some dogs and other animals shouting during the night, it is quite annoying but what could we do against wild life?

The hotel was a little further from the ocean than others, but unbeatable service for the price. A good AC, a big room and the staff is very friendly. She is a really good cook and it is quite cheap compared to other places. If you go to Uvita. This is the place to go. Only disadvantage is the location....

it's a quiet and small hotel, it's a 10 minute walk from the main bus station, but the last bit is quite steep. to get to the marina ballena park you have to walk around 45 minutes, so you rather take a taxi. the hotel is owned by a friendly costa rican lady, who takes care of everything. we were...

The air conditioner barely worked and dropped condensation on our heads. The window had a pane half sticking out. We had to stuff a sheet in the opening to keep the bugs out in this Zika prone area. Mattress was super thin and we slept laying on the hard bed frame underneath. The receptionist was not friendly. The motel is...

Went to see Darin Talbot at the Bamboo Room on Wednesday night. We loved him and had a great dinner, drinks and enjoyed the energy of the place. Great service and the entertainment was superb! Beautiful views and a great fun for our first night of entertainment in Costa Rica...

I meant to write this review ages ago as it has been almost a year since we traveled. This was our favorite place on our trip. We stayed here for 8 days, and were travelling with our kids ages 6, and 9. We were made to feel very welcome, at home, and comfortable. Dennis, the owner we got to know,...

It's unfortunate to have to write such a poor review for a place that seems generally clean and well kept. My girlfriend and I arrived from a long days trip around Dominical and Uvita to discover that not only had our room been entered without permission by the hotel keeper Lupe, but to our upset and disappointment we discovered that...

As you mentioned in your review we spoke during the incident and I tried to explain to you that as a matter of policy we investigate the situation in order to assess what happened exactly. As a matter of policy we also do not pay guests simply to insure good reviews (even if they represent themselves as travel writers). We...

Uvita is a strangely expensive place to stay, but Big Bamboo provides a decent place for less money provided you have transportation of your own to get to the beach. The meals at the restaurant were of good value and quality, and the rooms were adequately comfortable if rather hot-- the ACs worked fine but were not powerful, and staff...
