The hotel deserves its name : dolce vita = pura vida! The facility is very well maintained, the garden is filled with flowers and birds, the hosts are super helpful and communicative, the rooms are spacious and spotless. Breakfast is included and a fruit lovers heaven. We preordered Italian dinner for one night: they offer home-made pasta and lasagne which are worth every Colon 😉 even Italian wine is being served 🍷. Choose Pannacotta for desert. But you better don’t be afraid of dogs ... Highly recommended while in Uvita

Perfect stay for our Family of 5. Great central location, felt safe inside the property, beautiful grounds, humble/modest rooms (bonus to have AC & in room fridge), loved having access to a nearby outdoor kitchen, walking distance to park entrance... Silvia, the owner was exceptionally kind, patient and accommodating to our family. Ferdinand, the owner is an incredible chef. Breakfast was fantastic (best pinto I’ve had in Costa Rica) and his traditional Italian dinners smell like heaven. If you don’t stay here, I’d recommend making a reservation to eat here. You won’t be disappointed. We stayed here for 5 nights and we are so grateful for the hospitality and overall kindness that was extended to our family.

We can't say enough about the owner of the hotel. She was so very welcoming and went out of her way to assist us with arranging transportation and daytrips. The garden is stunning, with hummingbirds everywhere. The garden smelled like perfume from all the flowers. She is Italian and a wonderful cook! The Bruchetta is so good@

We spent a whole five days at Dolce Uvita, feeling as if we were at home. The owners gave us advice about where to go, though we had a lovely time at the resort by the swimming pool and the jacuzzi, with plenty of natural mango juice to drink: delicious! We even had a go at their Italian cuisine, which we found genuine and very tasty. Lots of homemade pasta, ravioli and lasagne which we adored. It's a place to go if you happen to be in Costarica!

We stayed here for two nights and loved every moment. Silvia, who owns and runs the hotel, was very friendly and catered to our needs. We particularly enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi - there's nothing quite like sitting in paradise in a Jacuzzi and having cocktails and beers delivered 'poolside'. There are some games and table tennis available for guest use. The hotel is in a great location and is walking distance to Marino Ballena national park for great swimming and stunning beaches. The rooms were reasonably sized, clean and comfortable. We ate one night at the attached Italian restaurant; limited menu but tasty food. Breakfast was not included and was pretty standard, but they opened the breakfast for us half an hour early as we had an early departure - very kind! Perhaps the only downside would be the thin curtains in the room as at night anyone could see in. We hung one of our blankets as a makeshift blackout curtain - problem solved! Overall this was our favorite place we stayed in all of Costa Rica.
