We had a most enjoyable stay. Staff very helpful & courteous , owner lives on site, he is also very helpful & knows the area well. My only gripe is " no hot water". The location is about 10 mins from central Ubud but shuttle service runs anytime between 9am to 9pm

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Areklo. The owner was incredibly helpful, and gave us a fantastic program for our stay. I had a wonderful day trip with Wira, the head driver for the hotel. I spoke with other travelers staying at the hotel, and all seemed to be very happy with the tours provided by the hotel. The...

I could not believe how bad this place was. First of all, I could not believe how cheap the owner was. I left the air conditioner cooling down the room while I went for a swimming. He went inside my room and shut it off. He was micromanaging every little thing, like the lights of my room, I felt terrible...

I stayed in Villa Areklo from 12.04.2012 until 16.04.2012 with 3 of my friends. Prior to making reservation in this Villa, I'd contacted the owner, Andre via email making some inquiries about the charges etc. After emailing Andre, I noticed that there were few negative comments made in this site. I was disturbed by those reviews especially regarding transportation issues...

We are just back from a two weeks vacation in Bali where we stayed in 4 different hotels and Villa Areklo was, by far, our best experience. The location was great, the rooms were really nice, the swimming pool, with spring water, was truly amazing but what really made the difference was the service we were provided with. André, his...

Stayed for 6 nights and was so happy we didn't want to leave. Traveled with 2A & 2C and booked the family suite which was perfect, very large 2 QS beds with private verandah overlooking the pool which was spring fed (no chlorine). Thanks Andre, Annette and all the staff for making us part of your family. Our kids played...

My partner and I stayed in this establishment for a week and found the overall experience to be positive. Although there are some negative aspect during the stay, these are pretty minor ones that doesn't bother us both. The positive sides are: We feel that we are guests in somebody's home and whatever you need, Andre and his staff will...

Villa Areklo is a nice little property located about 3 kilometers outside of Ubud. The owners are a young German couple who are turning the property into a charming place to stay that is close enough (roughly 3 kilometers) to Ubud to get in easily (they provide drop off and pickup service) but far enough away that you can get...

The personal attention from the owner makes this place very special. The setting is also very nice though it feels a bit closed in at times for my taste. I would recommend that the Villa Areklo provide soap, shampoo and drinking water in the rooms. This can still be done in an eco-friendly way. Otherwise, very relaxing and nice way...

Our first impressions staying here were not good - the couple that owned the place barely raised an eyebrow from their laptops when we walked in - this is Bali, and not the kind of reception we'd expect there - not so welcoming. The place is a little unorganised, and while there are a few nice touches with the furnishings...
