I was on my own and had the one bedroom "banda" on the beach: wow! This is exactly what I wanted, a simple but comfortable hut with a spectacular view and the sound of the sea lulling me to sleep. The breakfast was very good, the staff was so nice, and Steve is a very likeable and interesting person, and...

Steve the owner is a great guy, he'll help you out with whatever you need or have a beer with ya. Feels very relaxed and secluded here - but not isolated from Paje or Jambiani. Great spot to chill out, swim, eat, enjoy the pool or explore the island. Hope I'll be back one day.

We had a lovely one bedroom "banda" on the beach which was perfect. We could hear the sea from the bed and it was very relaxing. The breakfast (fresh fruit, eggs and toast with plenty of tea or coffee) was excellent and our amazing host, Steve was very friendly and helpful as he arranged an excursion to Stone town for...

My wife and I were in the 1 room Banda on the beach. When you sat on the porch you could clearly watch the coming and going of the tide. The room was simple- no aesthetic amenities except the beauty of the beach. There is a ceiling fan but the room can get quite hot at night, as one has...

Very peaceful and relaxing hotel in the half way between Jambiani and Paje. The standard room was simple but nice and clean. The air condition will be better, but also fen was ok. Don't expect 5* luxus for 50$/room/day. Steve (owner) is always on your service and give us advice on dive, tours,...

Couldn't have asked for a better spot! Truly relaxing setting, devoid of beach boys, which is important! You feel like you have the beach to yourself, if you get a little hot out in the sand, grab a beer, and jump in the pool... I'm already missing this place. If you get bored of the beach, there's tons of stuff...

We stayed at Pakachi hotel in January 2017. The owners were very helpful - especially Steve (English owner - exceptional). He helped us booking everything - taxi, excursions, etc. at no extra cost - and very helpful advice. The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed. The food was also very good - breakfast, lunch and dinner....

I was there for five days with my 2 children (7/9) and we just loved our time there! The place is a bit rustic and if you are looking for a fancy place this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a place with great vibes and calm atmosphere than you should go there! We...

Together with my partner and two nine-year old children we spent five days at Pakachi on our trip around Zanzibar and it was by far the best stop. The owner, Steve, was extremely helpful already on the planning stage, giving all relevant information and a fair description of the place. Once there, it was beyond our expectations. For those travellers...

Almost a month has passed since we had to bid farewell to this beautiful place and its warm hosts, but I have not forgotten a single detail: the perfect setting right on the beach, the relaxed atmosphere, the super helpful staff, the clean and pretty bungalows, the warm and yet refreshing pool, the pretty garden from which hibiscus flowers made...
