We tried to make an arrangement to stay for a few days, but our request were not answered. (Except 6 beautiful pictures of the environment via whatsapp) Finally we gave up in search for another location.

A room on the water is great to watch the locals go about life. The room had A/C which worked hard but never really got the room temperature under control. Good shower pressure, but no water - but that's ok for Tefe - it's hot here. Small TV with only local Portuguese channels. Horrible lumpy, small double bed. The worst...

I guess that if you stay in Tefe this is the best place. According to the Lonely Planet run by a Dutch/Brazilian couple, when we were there it was run by an English/Brazilian couple. However, they have left and I assume it will now again be run by the Dutch/Brazilian couple. Quality has appearently always been good. Good place. The...

We had a very positive experience here at Pousada Multicultura. The owners were incredibly friendly and helped us out with everything we needed. The rooms were pleasant, and the upstairs lounge area has a fantastic view along with a great breakfast. You can also easily get to anywhere else in Tefé from here. They offer various tours through the hotel....

After 2 days on the slowboat up from Manaus (exceptionell experience, but unbelievably dirty cabins) we spent a short night (boat was delayed) in this well run pousada before we continued to Uacari lodge. Clean room with terrace- overwhelming views over the lake. Great host Bettine organized our boat tickets well in advance (and sent it to us to Austria...

Based on the enthusiastic reviews, we booked a couple of nights at Pousada Multicultura. Despite the high tone the reviews had set, the owners Lee and Claudia managed to even top them. The stay at the pousada itself was very pleasant, the rooms are nice and clean, and they have a common room for breakfast with a view on the...

Unfortunately we only had a few hours to spend at Pousada Multicultura due to the slow boat from Manaus being slower than planned. We did not have time to enjoy the quaint clean balcony rooms but were able to take refreshing and much needed showers. Lee and Claudia and amazing hosts who made us immediately feel at home. We spent...

What a nice place just a few blocks outside the center of Tefé, the view from the terrace over the lake beats everything. The friendly and helpfull owners organised a great alternative tour for me to visit the nearby national park.

A 15 min walk from the boat terminal the pousada is located close to the city center. As opposed to Lonely Planet description it is currently run by a nice British-Brazilian couple. We had a clean and simple room with AC and a fantastic view over Lake Tefé. Breakfast was delicious! Lee, the owner, was very helpful, he gave us...

We spent a week at Pousada Multicultura, because my husband was ill and needed to rest and we couldn't travel further before he recovered. Lee and Claudia were gracious hosts and incredibly helpful during our stay. Claudia even went with us to see doctors to translate for us. We went on two excursions with them. The excursion to the Mission...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our family- guesthouse gives you the opportunity to relax with a unique view over the Lake Tefé. Our rooms are clean with silent air-conditioning, tv, desk, private bathroom with hot-shower and a friendly atmosphere. Because of environmental consideration only some rooms have a fridge, the others have a shared fridge.Tefe is the starting point to get to the Uakari-lodge of the Mamiraua Reserve for Sustainable Development, but the small Amazon-town has other things to offer. We organize tours to get to know the local (indigenous) communities, meeting of the waters (of the Amazon river and the Tefe river), pink delphin watching, the mission, the lake-beaches, flooded forest and trails in the forest. We can organize your tickets to Tefe too. The management is a Brazilian-Dutch couple, who worked with the indigenous communities for years. We speak Portuguese, English, Dutch, German, Spanish and Tagalog. ... more   less
