Checked in late at night en route to Vancouver, checked in and saw the room- bugs on the floor (ALIVE) crawling around near the bed weird stains on the sheets, dust and hairs laying all over the place. A spider in the corner of the room- would have preferred sleeping in the car. We went back to the front desk...

This place was so dated. The smell was unbearable. We were facing someone's back yard. The reviews were 4/5. The service I will say was great. The lady that runs the place is so pleasant. It's sad that this isn't a great place to go and get away as I've heard so many good things. We checked in at about...

We stayed at the Valhalla even though we were only 150 km from home but had put in 8 hrs. on a m/c. Although the décor and rooms are dated, we were amazed at the cleanliness of the room as well as bathroom. Service from the owner and staff was excellent. With the pub and restaurant on site, we found...

First time staying here under new ownership. When we used to stay here, we paid $75/night and it was excellently valued for that rate. Now it's $93 for the same service. No air conditioning, paper thin walls and for the most part you're challenged with a language barrier. Conveniently located and the food and service in the restaurant and attached...

I stayed at the Valhalla Inn for 2 nights and first I have to say that the staff really try to please the guests. I was going for a late evening swim and asked the restaurant what time they closed. She saw that I was heading out and said that when ever I got back was fine as I was...

It's clean, has good sized rooms and has an attached bar and restaurant. The room I stayed in had two queen beds and a kichenette. There is free WiFi and has TV'S. We did not have AC, but did not need it. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant does not open except on weekends before 11am (8am Sat &...

A good room for the price. No airco or microwave but that's mentioned and the prices are low. There only is wifi in the lobby or you can use the wifi of the pub next door. ( password 3852228204 at the time of writing, you can ask this in the pub, you can even enter the pub from inside the...

Completely amazed by how accommodating the staff is! They offered to cook us dinner after the restaurant closed, and opened the kitchen early just for us so we could have breakfast for a tour. New Denver is well worth visiting and this is a great place to stay with large, clean rooms that seem to have been recently updated. Location...

It's the only Motel/Inn in New Denver, but it's really quite OK. Dated rooms and facilities, but the staff (especially Maggie) are very special. Not the least is access to Odin's Pub which is an excellent restaurant ( a $5.00 breakfast comes with the room) featuring an outdoor eating area. A recommended stay if you are passing thru the Kootenays
