Four of us were staying at Fort William and booked in for an evening meal at the Smiddy; we were welcomed by Robert and settled with drinks in a cosy lounge whilst waiting for our table; our dinner was delicious from starters to the very yummy ginger pudding. Staff were friendly and efficient and we would definitely book again.

We only stayed one night as we were on a whistle stop tour of the highlands. Smiddy House is a wonderful guest house. Our room was the twin room as all the other rooms were booked, we had ample room and it was spotlessly clean with comfy beds, lovely decor. We were welcomed with tea/coffee and a delicious homemade cafe...

Beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean with an eye for detail, charming hosts and attentive staff. The restaurant offers great food from an exciting menu, complimented by fine wine. We enjoyed our short break immensely and look forward to returning.

Stayed in Spean Bridge and was recommended Russell's at Smiddy House as a good place to eat. This food here would not have been out of place in a top notch city restaurant and you certainly would not receive the personal touch that we got here in the city. Can't praise this place highly enough and the host Robert and...

We stayed here for two nights for a birthday weekend away. Robert was charming and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The rooms are fantastic and well equipped for a cozy stay but the food stole the show! The breakfast offering is superb and the whole evening dining experience was wonderful, excellent service and great food. Such a great spot!

We visit Smiddy House time and time again, year after year and given we live over 300 miles away that must tell you something ( other than our love of Scotland). Warm welcome, beautifully appointed rooms and totally excellent food - book in now!

This was such a great find, lovely stay at this 'restaurant with rooms' on our Scottish road trip. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Tea/coffee tray, TV, iron, shoe polish, amazing toiletries, lots and lots of towels, comfy bed...the list goes on and lots of nice touches like the teddy on the...

We booked a dinner bed and breakfast deal directly with the Smiddy . We booked for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful time Robert and Glen are both so welcoming and friendly and frankly can't do enough to make sure your stay is fantastic. We arrived mid afternoon after a long bike ride tiered and in need of a cup...

If you are in the area and you like staying in immaculate rooms and eating quality food with service to match then stay here. You will love it. Made to feel very welcome by owners, staff and locals eating in the restaurant.
