Booked a night before sailing to Northern Ireland, Check in procedure was smooth and the gentleman who greeted us was great. When he showed us to the room we were taken aback, lovely big room and bathroom and the room was very clean and well decorated. Will definitely stay again and would highly recommend it.

The room on the second floor was modern and clean. Shower room small and dark in décor was new and clean. Room was quiet even though on main street. Parking is on street, next door a small pub that has a great little menu, well priced. The fruit salad, wonderful a breakfast packed with well considered items. Fruit, juice, sandwich,...

The Auld Cairn was pretty much the only place in Cairnryan who would accommodate our family of five in one room. It was a nice big room with a big four poster plus 3 comfy put up beds. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was packed up for us to take away on the way out but there was no breakfast on the...

Our very late check in having got off the ferry was well accommodated. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Next door there was a bar available and breakfast the next morning. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again when passing through the area.

Stayed for two nights while visiting the area again. Only place we will stay around here. Always clean and very comfortable. Lovely big room and very comfortable beds. Lovely views over the loch and great to watch the ferries coming in and out. Lovely to walk along the loch and search for unusual pebbles and rocks along the water.

Stayed one night as we had a ferry to catch the following day. We could see the port from the front door! So the location was perfect. Room was very comfy with nice modern decor and it overlooked the back not the loch. The stairwell up was a spiral with a rope "banister" which added character to the place. The...

I arrived late of the ferry and was welcomed by a very chatty young man who kindly helped us with us bags, which we felt was a nice touch. The room was spotless and very spacious too with a large TV and a beautiful bathroom... It was like HEAVEN and sure to be back thank you to The Auld Cairn...

We had a nice room with four poster bed, very spacious and clean. Bathroom , ditto. However, whilst the furnishings are lovely the owners seem to have skimped on the overall finish. Stools and tables with wobbly legs that are apt to fall off, misplaced screws sticking out of the bathroom floor, which I imagine were designed to hold the...
