As a group of friends we attended the NYE Gala Ball and stayed over nite. I myself had to contact the hotel as I don’t eat red meat or pork and the choices on menu were not suitable for me. The girl I dealt with Natalia was very helpful and assured me that I could pick an alternate choice. About 3 weeks before we went the rest of the crowd realised that the menu choices were quite limited for them as the main meat choice was Pork Belly which we thought was a strange choice and one of them contacted the hotel to see what could be done. I believe it was Natalie that assisted on this occasion as well. Due to Natalie’s help they were all able to have a choice of roast beef or Turkey and it ended up they all took the roast beef and I took the Turkey. We were all pleased with the meals we had and I would just like to thank Natalie for the help and assistance she provided it was very much appreciated.
We have all stayed in a hotel every year for this occasion but we do find that a lot of hotels have a limited choice menu and as it is NYE it is certainly not cheap, so it was nice to be able to get something that suited everyone.
The group was very good as well, so it ended up a really good nite and we would recommend it to all.
The receptionist and the rest of the staff were also very helpful and pleasant.
The hotel itself is nice it is not boutique style more oldie worldly but the rooms are spacious and clean and we were all situated on the bottom floor together which was very handy as well.

So a big thank you to all who made our night and stay memorable for all the right reasons.

We stayed in Dunsilly Hotel for the first time with my husband, 2 sons and my mum. The location was as perfect as the hotel itself, close to Antrim and close to road networks for exploring further afield. The family room was very spacious and easily accommodated two adults and two children. We requested an accessible room for my mum as she uses a walking frame and her room was lovely and very spacious. The staff were friendly and professional. The hotel and rooms were immaculate. The food and service were great, recommend the steak and goats cheese! . We have booked to stay here again in September. Would definitely recommend. 5 star!

We love staying at this lovely friendly hotel. From arriving in reception to the restaurant staff right through to the cleaning staff everyone is so friendly and makes you feel welcome. We have stayed here numerous times over the past 6 years while visiting family and have always had good service and a nice comfortable room. The breakfast is so good with plenty of choice. We do not really eat in the restaurant as visiting family so eat with them. The staff cannot do enough for you I requested a fan in the room as I get hot overnight and reception got one for me straight away. The rooms are very comfortable and the bed is so comfy, plenty of tea and coffee provided if you run short just ask reception and they get some for you straight away. Only thing I could say is rooms are a bit tired and could do with a quick spruce up but does not take anything away from your stay. The hotel is lovely and clean and we have stayed at a couple of other hotels in the area in the past but always go back to the dunsilly.

Booked to stay last night, arrived around 4pm was checked in quickly and efficiently by a very friendly receptionist. Our room was freezing cold and the thermostat didn’t work. Reception said they could boost the heating so we decided to go to the bar for dinner. Unfortunately soon after tucking in I discovered a long black hair in my dinner, totally disgusted I was put off eating and refused an alternative. When the bill arrived we been given 10% off, this made me furious as the attitude was bad and expecting me to pay for a meal that was returned was awful. Annoyed we returned to the room which was still freezing, after a very short time we checked out at 7pm and returned home. Staff had been good enough to give us a voucher for the cost of the stay however I ended up having to leave the £7 glass of wine I’d bought as I then had to drive 30 miles home. Wouldn’t recommend this venue after the bad experience however, the receptionist is very friendly and an asset who must have her wok cut out if this is their normal service.

Stayed I the Dunsilly for a night in July 23, I think it was room 218 which we were allocated, unfortunately our experience was not good, as soon as we got into the elevator we knew things were very old, then we found the room to be a blast from the past, it was like a step back to the 80's the room had old pine wood units with brass light fittings, the mattress was an old sprung type mattress which I git very little sleep on, the bed sheets felt like they were made of some sort of hard industrial polyester material, the sink in the bathroom had a crack that ran the full width of it, the chrome on the taps was completely worn off & they are not mixer taps so it's either hot water or cold, the shower over the bath was ancient, it was the worst shower I have ever had, half of the water was leaking from the shower head, there waa a discoloured shower mat thing with looked very very old indeed, the TV on the wall was small & old, the remove was cheap & basic, it did not work very well, overall it was a very old fashioned room which we were glad to get out of.
The next morning we decided to try the breakfast which we were charged an additional £12 each for, I was poor, the cooked breakfast was obviously cooked I one batch early & was left to sit, the bacon was fatty & greasy, the sausage was dried out, the soda was rock hard & the beans were cold.
The thing I don't understand is that the hotel was not busy that night & it seems to have some slightly more modern rooms yet we were put in an old room, why do this ? This place needs a lot of money spending on it, all I can say is beware of this place if you want a good night's sleep go elsewhere.

As a family we had the opportunity of just staying 1 night in the hotel. From check in to check out everything went smoothly, they also allowed us an early check in as we were attending a family wedding near by. The rooms newly refurbished to a very high standard, had a light lunch in the bar which was very tasty, a very good selection for breakfast the next morning. Reception staff very helpful will be definitely back some time and recommend the hotel to other people. We could not find a fault anywhere.

On Wednesday Night 15 June 2022 six family members dined at Dunsilly. I had looked at menu on Line previous to visit and decided I would order Open Prawn which is one of my favourites but it wasn’t to be. When I ordered I was informed NO PRAWNS so I ordered second choice which was 100%. Bit disappointed 1st choice not available. Should have been told this from outset. My wife had looked forward to Trout but was disappointed in portion as was my Son in Law who ordered same dish, bit overpriced for portions received. Staff were friendly courteous and attentive and food was served promptly.

The location is ok.
The staff didn’t seem very welcoming. It being my first time at the place, I never received enough information or guidance apart from being given the card at check in and being told my room was on the first floor. I felt lost
The remaining things I was supposed to figure out by myself.
The restaurant, no guidance there too. There’s a note that says wait to be given a table/seat. But whenever I went there nobody showed me where to seat . On Saturday my partner and i went in, some lady only asked if we were having tea or coffee, never told us where to sit, we chose a table by ourselves and the same person who never showed us where to sit came to tell us we can’t sit at that table but should find another one. Still she wouldn’t tell us which one but it was for use to figure out which table is allowed and which one isn’t.
The food isn’t something I liked. The fried eggs were all lying in oil, sausages not lacked if pork or beef. I don’t it pork, I don’t know why they were so I just avoided them.

pillows were too hard and the mattress wasn’t comfortable. I spent 3 nights there and I developed fatigue first night until my last day. I couldn’t sleep on the pillows because they are too had and uncomfortable. I had no iron in my room and when I went to ask for one the receptionist insisted that it was in the room. I had to argue that I checked everywhere and didn’t see it and that was only when she said she’d ask someone to find me one.

There were also kids that kept running down the corridor on the floor making it had to have a nap during the day. I can talk about a lot of things but let me just say I wouldn’t stay at this place again. The services I received didn’t amount to the money I paid.
Very substandard.

I visited this hotel for work training in October. The hotel facilities were perfect for my stay. During training we were served with tea/coffee three times per day as well as served lunch. We were well looked after by polite, mannerly, friendly, pleasant and approachable staff. Although all staff were excellent, one staff member, Rosie stood out from the rest, always had a smile and genuinely couldn't do anymore for anyone, would return to this hotel because of her.
