I loved the fact that this place is doggy friendly but the food was well below average and the service was worse. The fact that the bar would only take the food order and not hot drinks is insane. The food arrived and we were still in the queue for our coffees then the J2O we ordered the girl didn't...

We stayed here for two nights ant the end of March, beginning of April. The room was quite large, well appointed with very nice décor and spotlessly clean We had a sea view which although it is more expensive, (I think) is worth it for the quietness if you are a light sleeper. The bathroom had everything you need and...

This is a big hotel with a pride-of-place location in the seafront. I visited for a drink and a rest. The menu looked nice but the service was lacklustre. It took a while to be served without acknowledgement. Most of the tables were left dirty and the seagulls were helping themselves to customers food scraps causing plates and bowls to...

After mediocre service in the bar last year, we cancelled our prospective stay for this weekend. Despite sending us 2 cancellation confirmation emails (there's a competence clue there), they phoned last night to say they'd be charging us for not turning up. Frankly I'm not surprised. If you stay there, be very patient, and check your bill.

Decided to go to Broadstairs on he spur of the moment. The Royal Albion Hotel overlooking Viking Bay seemed to be the obvious choice. The room for the night on the second floor (no lift) compact though, was clean and nicely decorated with a good choice of refreshments. The bathroom equally impeccable with thick towels, good selection of toiletries was...

Booked as a couple for one night in a twin room. Room was a little dated and quite noisy as overlooked main high street. Beds were comfortable and staff extremely friendly. Delicious breakfast served in dining room or outside on The lovely terrace overlooking the beach. Enjoyed so much stayed another night in a quieter room. Would mention though there...

The Royal Albion is a beautifully situated hotel in Broadstairs with wonderful, unobstructed views of the beach and sea. You cannot fault it there and the staff are friendly and competent enough but there were a few moments which made this a good hotel but not a great hotel. They seemed to lose people bills a lot at reception. Perhaps...

Dropped in for lunch whilst strolling along Broadstairs sea front. A chilly winters day so really pleased they allow dogs in doors. Fantastic drinks, very pleasant service, superb food, brilliant view of the sea front. Had a great break, will stay in the hotel next time we are in the area, that's looks as nice as the restaurant.
