I'll be back. Says it all - is it perfect? Absolutely no way but the staff make this place. Decided to stay a day extra in Brighton and this was the lowest priced central hotel. Check in was nice, friendly and welcoming. The hotel has clearly (massively) seen better days but in spite of the drawbacks it's absolutely worth trying....

Stopped here for an early dinner. Although a very busy day drinks were served well and food ordered. Starter came out after 15mins, but 40mins after that was cleared I had to chase! Main arrived and although well presented was cold to the touch. Had the manager stand next to our table and loudly shout at a member of staff....

We were on holiday in Broadstairs and decided that we would treat ourselves by dining at what professed to be the most prestigious hotel in the town. I made the booking at reception at midday arranging for a table for three in the restaurant at 6.30pm. We arrived just before half six, the booking appeared to be a surprise to...

Lovely outside area with tables and chairs terraced - we went on a Sunday for lunch and had a specialty sandwich of salted beef and it was fab , layers of taste with rosemary bread surrounding. This was served with chips and coleslaw . Staff were polite and professional. Would definitely use again

Where to start! Staff with attitude problems, food arriving late (everyone had nearly finished by the time last meal arrived), meat not cooked how it was asked for, meat that you could chew on for a week and not swallow and potatoes so hard you could knock someone out. Perfect view though!

I have just returned from a 1 night stay at this hotel. We arrived a early knowing that our room was unlikely to be ready & the receptionist was quite abrupt, saying she was so busy & the hotel was full. I asked to store our bags & she showed us to a cupboard which seemed to inconvenience her. We...

The hotel itself is beautifull and well maintained. We had dinner once there about 5 years ago so I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a long-weekend in the hotel this time. When we came in the hotel the first day the lady at the counter was not "really friendly" and although she might have had some private issues at that...

Shepard's Neame, what have you done to our lovely Albion?!! Having lived in Broadstairs for most of my life, I still enjoy coming back to visit monthly and popping into one of my favourite places, The Albion. Unfortunately, the last few visits have been utterly appalling. Answer me this... - Why have you got rid of all the staff? The...

We had a one night stay recently and it was lovely, highly recommended, the staff are so friendly & welcoming and very helpful, the view of the beach is stunning. The food was just devine. Road facing rooms are a bit noisy at night.

Every time I go over to the UK I try to find an excuse to add on a day or two to stay in the Royal Albion. It is such a nice change from the inhuman chain hotels that seem to be taking over the market. This is a charming seaside hotel which still retains the grandeur from when Charles...
