If you are planning to spend your time on your mobile phone, iPad or laptop then this is not the accommodation for you. However, if you are looking to spend your time relaxing in a property that enthuses history, character and style with the best views of Broadstairs this is very much the place to be. My wife and I...

We had a 2 night mid week stay for a special birthday celebration. This is a wonderful hotel, full of character. Our room (the suite) was excellent with dressing room, big bedroom and huge bathroom, double bath and balcony. All very comfortable, plenty of chairs and sofa, stunning views. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. Good breakfast, vegetarian...

We had afternoon tea at Bleak House for a 60th Birthday celebration. The building itself is very impressive and the short talk on it before our tea was very good. We also went through the museum at the same time which was very interesting. Our tea was served in the dining room which was a lovely room overlooking the garden....

I took my mum and nan for afternoon tea on Mothers Day. My first impression was wow, what a lovely building, carefully renovated to a good standard. Second the staff, brilliant!! Helpful, friendly and willing to accommodate even the most difficult of people. The food, was well presented and tasted wonderful. It all appeared home made which added to the...

So wasn't sure where to go to take my mum for Mothers Day, decided to give Bleak House a try. I am so glad I did, it was my mum, sister and myself. The food was amazing and so was the service, quite often you go somewhere and you are served by moody teenagers who would rather be somewhere else....

My boyfriend and I travelled to Broadstairs with the implicit desire to stay at history-steeped Bleak House. The notion of spending a weekend in front of a moody/broody ocean while surrounded by Charles Dicken’s memorabilia and era-appropriate furnishings greatly appealed and I have to say, the experience delivered on all accountability. Firstly, the house itself is well-appointed and it truly...

We stayed here on a mid week stop over to avoid a 200 mile return trip home between meetings. It was simply stunning. The house, artefacts, staff, open fires and access to all areas was just stunning. Jeff recommended a superb Italian Posillipo just down the way for dinner. He booked us a table which was needed even on a...

On arrival the porter called me 'young man'', brilliant! He gave us a very warm welcome, carried our bags and showed us to our room 'Little Dorrit'. The house was warm and the decor Victorian in style and quite charming. Lovely view from the room across the crenellated walls towards the sea. We walked to the restaurants in Broadstairs (Less...

We took the express train from London and were in Broadstairs in less than 90 minutes. Obviously, a seaside town would be quite bustling in the summer, but we were there just before Christmas and it was wonderful. Many shops and pubs still open and the feel of the town was a perfect antidote to the clamour of London. We...

Stayed in the Copperfield room Christmas night , the room was outstanding,a huge very comfortable bed, amazing bathroom with underfloor heating and a private balcony overlooking Viking Bay. The following morning we enjoyed one of the best full English breakfasts we've ever had.
