We stayed at Cloonlara for 3 nights during early June. Straight away, you are made to feel very welcome (we had to arrive late, but that was no problem). Room had simple elegance which made it very restful. We had a lovely big bed ! Breakfast is the best, not overly fatty and a delicious take on tomatoes. Parking was... More

Stayed here this weekend after we found it on TripAdvisor and it is places like this where TripAdvisor definitely comes into its own. Probably wouldn't have found it otherwise, but so glad we did. It's not on the seafront, but it is a short walk from the main attractions and who goes to Broadstairs to stay in their room and... More

We stayed for 2 nights over bank holiday weekend. The location of the guesthouse is perfect, short walk from station and few minutes from the sea front. It is situated in a beautiful quiet road. Bernie and Brian were very welcoming from the start and made sure we had everything at hand to ensure a comfortable stay. The room was... More

If you're familiar with the usual standard of seaside resort guest houses the. You will be pleasantly surprised with cloonlara. Large room, nice fixtures and fittings and friendly owners . Strongly recommend . It is our third stay in total. I've stayed at Albion before and wonder why I would pay the premium when cloonlara is nicer and more intimate

We have stayed at Cloonlara three times and could not have been made more welcome by Bernadette and Brian. Our room was quiet and very comfortable with everything we could possibly need, the breakfast menu was varied and delicious. With just a short walk to the town and seafront , the location is perfect. We can't wait to return.

Our second visit to Cloonlara, and exactly one year on, we enjoyed it just as much. It's the thoughtful touches and personal approach from Bernadette and Brian which makes this B&B stand out from the rest.

Delighted to come back after a first visit in May, this time with my son, so we could run/cycle along the Viking Coastal Trail. As we only had two days to stay in Broadstairs, our ever-helpful hostess, Bernadette, ensured we set out in the right direction ... and provided secure place for my bike afterwards. Thank you Bernadette and Brian... More
