The rooms in this B&B are a little dated but not to worry as Kay is a fantastic hostess and fabulous cook. The rooms are clean & comfortable and Kay is such a pleasure to talk too, you would be doing yourself a disservice by not spending a night and having a laugh with her, highly recommended.
A truly warm welcome received at this b&b, a stopover on a journey to Cork. It is a short walk from the centre of this attractive town and to the start of the Greenway cycle route. The breakfast was a feast!
This a fine B&B within easy walking distance to town center. Hostess Kay was amazing! Perhaps the most helpful B&B owner that Vasso and I have enjoyed in Ireland, and we’ve been coming for six summers all over the country. Kay is the hardest working hostess we have seen. Fine breakfast, good supermarket just next door. Tops, tops, tops!!! Bravo, Kay!
Stayed here 2 nights. Most welcoming from the moment of arrival. Gorgeous host Kay. Couldn’t do more to make us feel welcome. Accommodation very clean with personal touches. Highly recommend this place. Ticked all boxes . Will be back
My husband & I stayed here for one night. Kay is an extremely friendly and pleasant lady. She obviously loves what she does, I think she’ll go the extra mile for anyone. Breakfast was traditional and very tasty. It might not be as modern as other b&bs but Kay makes up for that.
We stayed here for 1 night, the rooms were large with a double bed and a single bed, fully equipped with tea making facilities, ensuite, TV n free WiFi. Loads of car spaces. The host was lovely and friendly and very welcoming. Would recommend this as a place to stay.
Very friendly welcome and in a good location. Helpful owner gave us plenty of information on the surrounding area. Rooms clean with tea and coffee making facilities. Excellent value for money. Car parking on site and free WiFi.
Visited with friends. Rooms allocated were small with an en-suite. Decor and facilities were dated and in need of upgrade. Even so, everything worked. One problem was that there was no common area or lounge in which to stretch and relax, so this was in the bedroom on a chair that was not really comfortable. It worked, but not great. Our room had a frosted window at the ceiling in an internal wall shared with the hallway so that light could filter from our room into the hallway. Unfortunately, at 1:00 am when a late arrival turned on the hall light, this also shone into our room and woke us up. The breakfast was splendid, and a Full Irish breakfast was the default. It was prepared when required, was fresh and delicious. The coffee was also very good, as with the tea.
I myself have never stayed in St. Anthony's b&b...(as I actually live in the area) But Kay (the owner ) has looked after my inlaws. for the last 13 yrs ... they could not praise her enough .( Really... returning for 13yrs says it al!!) Coming from Scotland twice a year they are always delighted with the welcome they get... treated like part of the family at this stage.. From breakfast to doing laundry, the laughs and chats that they have and everything inbetween... Kay REALLY goes above and beyond .. could not recommend her natural outgoing, happy nature enough.. they love it and would not dream of ever staying anywhere else!
Four friends on a motorcycle tour. Stayed for three nights. Comfortable rooms with good beds (a double and a single in each of the two rooms we had). The location is good being five minutes walk outside town so it was quiet come bed time. The landlady was very friendly and helpful and determined to feed us well - the breakfasts were both good and substantial.
