Don't miss out on coming to this beautiful historic home. Evening you need is here and it's a very easy walk to town. Would highly recommend eating at the moorings in town. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING but best of all was the beautiful Irish hospitality. What a gem of a place. Sad we only got one night.

I booked this b and b on the phone having at the time no access to the internet and chose it at random from a brochure about Dungarvan - WHAT a gem! Good welcome by the owner (sorry, name forgotten), pleasant room and the whole in a lovely setting of river, gardens etc. etc. Near to everything, but quiet. Helpful...

This wonderful old house sits proudly on the bank of a river. Our host Brian was fantastic. He gave us advice on the town, the area and the local restaurants and pubs. Our bedroom was very well appointed and comfortable and the breakfast of scrambled egg and smoked salmon was by far the best in the 2 weeks we had...

I was in the area for work in August and did not want an impersonal hotel. Cairbre House was highly recommended. It was fantastic with a most comfortable room, decent shower , a great view across the estuary and the best breakfast I have seen offered anywhere. It is also a very historical building, dating form 1819. Brian ensures his...

A very friendly B and B overlooking the estuary with a resident seal who sleeps on a surf board. Really lovely place to stay. Good breakfast and a 5 minute walk from the town centre where there is a wide choice of restaurants and bars. The B and B uses local produce and herbs and flowers from there own garden...

I booked a night at Cairbre House once we'd decided on making a stop in Dungarvan, and none of the available hotels looked anything special. The house itself is beautiful and the location in Dungarvan is fantastic - being able to walk everywhere is a major advantage, especially if you're going out in the evening. Unfortunately we picked the wettest...

We booked 2 rooms for one night on our trip through Ireland. Cairbre House is in a beautiful spot, surrounded by well-tended gardens and water. Brian was a most accommodating host and gave detailed directions to restaurants within walking distance. The historic background of the House is very interesting, and the rooms are well appointed and large. Breakfast was first...

Lovely, quiet spot to explore the region. Quaint house with an interesting history. The breakfasts were the best (and healthiest) we had in all Ireland. The town is small and genuine with good restaurants and lovely pubs.

We've been to Ireland 4 times and have stayed in dozens of B&B's. Cairbe House is in the top 2 or 3 for us. There are so many reasons why this is a #1 rated B&B in Dungarvan. The setting right on the river is wonderful. This 200 year old home is charming and finely appointed. You'll never find a...
