Our family of seven spent a week in November 2023 at Cairbre House which easily accommodated our gang. Brian, our host, was most welcoming on the rainy night we arrived and was responsive to our needs throughout our stay. The House itself met all our needs in terms of parking, bedrooms, bathrooms (plenty of those!), kitchen equipment, etc. We used the fireplace, and it worked well during our stay. The House is a few minutes away from a pub and grocery store and a 10-15 minute walk into Dungarvan which is a good-sized town with all the amenities.

We had a great time here. Our extended Irish family came to visit and we enjoyed the location, garden etc. the weather was on our side and we utilised the facilities to the best of our ability. The owners left us to our own devices and we would return. Amazing history behind the house. Thank you for your hospitality. Brian, Pam and all our family Irish and Scottish 🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We have just returned from a fabulous stay in the beautiful Cairbre House. This Georgian home is ideal for family groups. The bedrooms boast really comfy beds and ensuites with decent showers. The children in our party loved that every bedroom had a television. The adults loved the antique furnishings and stunning views of the estuary. The house has a well appointed kitchen with a cozy aga.It has two large fridges, dishwasher and double electric oven.It also has a large utility room with washing machine and dryer. The dining room was opulent and an atmospheric spot to enjoy takeaway from the gorgeous restaurants in Dungarvan.Brian the owner was so helpful. He had copies of the menus from nearly every takeaway and restaurant in town.He was great to give advice on local attractions too.The gardens surrounding the house are beautifully maintained. The enclsed back garden was an ideal space for children to play safely in.The garden has two huge outdoor tables.Perfect for alfresco dining. The house is a short walk from the centre of Dungarvan. We will definitely be returning to this absolute gem of a house. Brian made us feel so welcome and was a kind and gracious host.I really can't reccommend this house enough.

We stayed at Cairbre House in September 2018 & we were not disappointed. Brian was such a wonderful host who was beyond your typical host more like a friend. We extended our stay to 2 nights instead of 1 the rooms were very spacious & the beds were comfortable. Brian & his staff were always accommodating & we both felt comfortable staying at Caribre House. The breakfasts were healthy & very delicious Brian added his special touch with garnishings from his vege garden. Loved the homemade soda breads & the honey!!! Highly recommend to stay at Cairbre House but you need to hurry Brian is closing the B&B & just having Holiday stay instead.

We had a top notch experience. Great full Irish breakfast. Walking distance to Dungarvan restaurants, with a local pub even closer. The price is quite reasonable. The house is nearly 200 years old, situated on the estuary.

Just home from a fantastic two night stay in Cairbre House. The house itself is in a beautiful location on the waterfront. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, herbs from the garden and homemade jams. The house is located just a 10 minute stroll from the main restaurants and bars in Dungarvan. Would definitely recommend!

Had a very enjoyable two-night stay in this historically fascinating spot. Easy walk to Dungarvan and all its shopping and restaurants. Owner Brian was very accommodating and let me tell you, he makes and EXCELLENT omelette. Gardens are beautiful, especially the roses. We found it fascinating to watch the tides come and go in the estuary right out the back gate. Very quiet and comfortable stay.

Cairbre House will be 200 years old in 2019, but has been updated with ensuite facilities including showers. Clean and comfortable rooms, very accommodating staff and Brian (owner) was attentive and helpful. Good location for daily site seeing in the South, Waterford, Cahir, the Greenway, the Tipperary Heritage trail, all within an easy drive. Spent a little time at the Anchor Bar and also recommend Merry’s Gastro Pub for lunch or dinner.

This B&B is located on a quiet street in Dungarvin and is only a short walk to the town center. The host, Brian, gives you a warm welcome and is ready to share information on restaurants. Be sure to ask about the history of his lovely home. You have private gardens and a great view of the town across the river.
