Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

No breakfast available ever, no host/hostess on premises overnight, no contact number supplied should the need arise to contact them (as in our case). Noisy bar below even at 1.00 am (gardai take note). No private car parking provided. Our stay can only be described as disastrous. From the initial less than warm welcome at checkin, a lady (having extracted full payment from us up front) handed us our room key and pointed up a steep narrow stairway to our room above. No question of any help being offered or available with luggage. The main problem with this place only started at 2.00 am when returning revellers to the room next to ours partied for the ENTIRE NIGHT until they surprisingly left the property at about 8.00 a.m. Our protests to the revellers fell on deaf ears but we had no option but to endure as there was no way to contact the owners. Other than the small matter of having just about 2/3 hours sleep, the room was clean and the bed sufficiently comfortable to otherwise provide a decent night’s sleep. The view from our room window was horrible ( see attached photo) and bathroom was grotty to say the least. None of the usual soaps/shampoos available just a liquid soap dispenser and ONE roll of toilet tissue.

We recently stayed at the Tudor house while cycling the Waterford Greenway. From the moment we arrived Declan and Jack were great. The place was clean and everyone was so friendly. The guys had a real no fuss attitude and were happy to oblige with everything. They took care of our bikes and we were able to stroll around the town on foot as it is so central. We got a front room and despite previous reviews claiming the street was noisy, we didn't find it too bad. The Tudor house was very homely, the breakfast was very good, the staff were great, the location was superb and the price was very reasonable.

We stayed for two nights. The place is spotless and the staff are really lovely! It’s in the perfect location to explore Dungarvan. The breakfast was lovely. It was served by two young lads who were both extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. For the price, it’s a great stay!

Perfectly acceptable. Had a big room with lots of beds in and everything was clean. Beds were comfy. On street parking which wasn’t a problem. Roads very busy but we were quite high up so wasn’t a problem.

A group of us stayed in the Tudor House over the August bank holiday weekend. It is perfectly located in the centre of Dungarvan. Rooms were clean, fresh towels daily and had a tv in each. We couldn't fault it - we will be back!

Excellently located in the centre of the town, this simple accommodation has everything you need and the long flight of stairs up to the rooms will keep you fit! The owner made a generous reduction for not being able to provide breakfast during our 3 night stay. Clean towels every day and plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room saved us having to ask for more as we always have to even in 4star hotels. Lots of excellent bars and restaurants within a short walk.

The Tudor House is in the Main Street which is good for Restaurants. The owner made us feel very welcome, and the breakfast was great. Very good value. We didn’t have a great view from our room, but it didn’t matter as we were only passing through, next time we would probably stay several days

Never judge a book by its cover. ....seriously! ! It's not the most luxurious place but for the price it's definitely the best value. Rooms functional and clean. Free WiFi. The breakfast is far supperior than a much better known hotel down the road. Central to everything in Dungarvan and plenty of fabulous bars close by. I will definitely be back

The Tudor House is attached to a bar, where you go to pick up the key, and there's a public car park over the road which, if you're canny, you can use without having to pay (there's 90 mins leeway on the operational hours). We had a spacious en-suite room which, although it overlooked the road, was quiet enough and clean. There was a small TV which we didn't use, no safe but free wifi.
