We recently stayed at the Tudor house while cycling the Waterford Greenway. From the moment we arrived Declan and Jack were great. The place was clean and everyone was so friendly. The guys had a real no fuss attitude and were happy to oblige with everything. They took care of our bikes and we were able to stroll around the town on foot as it is so central. We got a front room and despite previous reviews claiming the street was noisy, we didn't find it too bad. The Tudor house was very homely, the breakfast was very good, the staff were great, the location was superb and the price was very reasonable.

We stayed for two nights. The place is spotless and the staff are really lovely! It’s in the perfect location to explore Dungarvan. The breakfast was lovely. It was served by two young lads who were both extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. For the price, it’s a great stay!

There are a lot of good points about Tudor House. The room we had (205) was right at the back of the hotel but up a flight of 35 stairs on the second floor. It was quite large and very quiet, with one double and two single beds. The carpet on the stairs had seen better days. The bathroom was modern but the toilet did not flush properly (usually only half a flush, despite having more water in the cistern which refused to budge). It is very central to town and within easy walking distance to The Tannery Restaurant, which is why we booked it. Breakfast was very good, served in Lindy's Bar on the first floor and the staff were very friendly. Car parking was outside on the street, free after 4.30 pm but we felt we were very lucky to procure a spot.

This B&B is very reasonably priced and the breakfast was nice. It is in a good location in the centre of the town. You have to go into a pub to get the room keys

However, the bedroom was dirty, The carpet was all stained, so dirty that I made sure that I had my socks on when walking around the bedroom.

The stairs up to the bedrooms is filthy and should be cleaned. The whole place has a dirty worn look to it and is in serious need of refurbishment. After staying in this place, I was looking forward to a good shower in a clean hostelry, so that I could wash this place out of my memory.

We will not be back

The hotel needs a bit of a refurbishment. Very old and disappointing. The carpet was very stained and dirty looking as well as the comforters. Toilet just ran and ran. It needs new guts. It did have a nice shower and in a good location. It can be a bit noisy from the bar downstairs, especially if there is live music or loud people in the hallway. Did not sleep well. The staff was very nice though. I guess for the price of the room I would have expected a bit more.

Stayed in this B&B for one night while visiting Dungarvan to try out the Tannery Restaurant. Even though they had no record of our booking (confirmed by us just the day before) they found us a nice room no hassle. The bar does look a bit dodgy but the room was lovely and the breakfast was great. Good value and located bang in the centre.

Excellently located in the centre of the town, this simple accommodation has everything you need and the long flight of stairs up to the rooms will keep you fit! The owner made a generous reduction for not being able to provide breakfast during our 3 night stay. Clean towels every day and plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room saved us having to ask for more as we always have to even in 4star hotels. Lots of excellent bars and restaurants within a short walk.

Stayed one night while changing buses to Cork. Easy walk from bus stop. Comfortable congenial and good breakfast. Would stay again. The stairs are steep but straight so was good exercise. Pub downstairs was quiet.
