The Positives: 1- Room was clean; 2- Staff were hard-working, polite & cheerful; 3- Rooms were of a decent size; 4- Breakfast was satisfactory - typical continental fare. Same everyday. 5- Booking agent (Carrado) was a diamond) The Criticisms: 1- bed was hard - one pillow - just about satisfactory; 2- Toilet made strange noises after flushing; 3- Shower was appalling - tiny barely big enough for a pygmy and was unclean where the doors overlapped. 4- the balcony (veranda in Italian) was tiny with plastic chairs but nom table. We had to use one of the chairs in the bedroom. 5- Walls were thin - sound carried. We could hear the next door room occupants arguing about something. Lots of noise in the early hours (furniture being moved, suitcases scraping along tiled floors. 6- Décor bland & basic. 7- Activities, tours & car hire ran out the weekend we arrived - we were told end of season when the hotel was still accepting new international guests so not much idea about how to keep tourists happy. End of season became out mantra. 6- The tourist office tried to charge us E150 for a three day end of season hire of a Toyota Aygo. I would not go anywhere voluntarily let alone for E150 in an Aygo; it would be a Nogo. We offered E120 which went down like a lead balloon.

A lovely hotel with a great chef! Must eat on the beach promenade and taste the delicious fish dishes. Staff were very welcoming and helpful where our Italian and their English was tested to the max, but that didn't stop us from getting the most out of our stay here. Beautiful place and would definitely recommend.

We spent two weeks in this hotel, and we had a great stay. Based on earlier reviews on TripAdvisor and Hotels.com, we got the impression that there would be staff present in the reception, but that was not the case. Check-in had at some stage been "outsourced" to the tourist office in the neighbourhood, so we were handed a key to the main door, and kindly requested to keep the door locked :-) It is also worth noticing that there is no Wifi in the hotel, even though various websites claim that there is Wifi in the reception area. Apart from that, everything worked perfectly. I cannot remember having stayed in a hotel this clean! Towels were changed every day, and the room was spotless. The whole hotel must have been renovated recently - both floors, walls and furniture looked really nice. During the second week of our stay, the hotel got more crowded, and one could easily hear noise from the hall and the rooms next to ours. Apart from that, the area was very quiet, even though restaurants and shops were just around the corner. The beds were good, the shower had plenty of water, and the aircondition was powerful, yet quiet. If you want a nice place to stay without paying a fortune, choose this hotel!

My family and I spent 7 nights here in late September and early October. We had a shaky start when we arrived, as we expected to see the hotel manned and staff inside, but we entered the lobby and it the restaurant was deserted and there were no staff. Thankfully another couple were just coming downstairs and informed us we had to contact an agent in the centre to book us in. They kindly called her and she came round and showed us to our room. We were given a room with a double bed and a fold away baby cot (for a 3 year old!), But when that wouldn't open properly we were upgraded to a room with a double and single bed. Once we settled in it was apparent too that the wifi had been turned off. Everything from then on was great. The room was a prefect size and the bathroom was excellent. It was cleaned every morning and the cleaning lady was exceptionally nice. The location was great too, we only had to walk out the from door and turn the corner to be at the sea front and on the lovely beaches. I would definitely stay again as the hotel was very reasonably priced. I think the earlier troubles when we arrived was maybe due to the owners having left already at the end of season, as other than the cleaning lady we saw no other staff.
