Based on stays at other 4 star hotels in Sardinia we would rate this a 3 star hotel, rather than a 4 star hotel. Room needed a full make over with fresh colours. Very spartanly furnished with lack of environment. Despite serveral attempts we did not succeed in getting another room away from the traffic. We had to pay extra for another location/room on top of what we already paid for this Superior room, if we wanted to move. From a value for money point of wiev, this hotel seems overpriced. Generally friendly staff, but engagement seemed to be missing from time to time. Cleaning was fine. English skills could need an upgrade in order to avoid misunderstandings/misinformation.
First time in Isola Rossa at this hotel - such a wonderful experience. Our reception was warm thanks to Antonio who greeted us personally and surprised us with an ocean-facing room. Our suite was spacious with small welcome gifts. The pool is stunning and the environment is Sardinian wild, offering walking paths that take you to the sea. All COVID rules were strictly respected. Our breakfast and lunch were taken at the bar/cafe and a most spectacular sunset was waiting each evening over an aperitif. Tours were organized well and restaurant recommendations were good. The town is small and charming. We will be back - we really didn't want to leave.
What a beautiful resort, relaxed, friendly and secluded, a real gem. From the moment we arrived relaxation and chill out were inevitable, with friendly attentive staff, but not obtrusive, to beautiful rooms set in tranquil grounds. The hotel has rustic charm with all the modern facilities you expect to make your holiday as stress free as possible. We will definitely return to this beautiful hotel in an unspoilt part of Sardinia.
Lovely hotel, set over large grounds. We arrived Saturday afternoon, and there was a porter service, who took our cases to our room. Nice room, with garden view, and balcony. Hairdryer in the bathroom and complimentary toiletries, bathroom includes a bidet. Tea making facilities available (if you ask for them), small fridge, with chargeable water and drinks and snacks. Pool was amazing and plenty of sun loungers, with complimentary fruit juice around pool. We had lunch at the snack bar, we had sandwiches, but there is plenty of choice, the bill is charged to your room, as is any wine ordered with evening meal, and we settled the bill the evening before we left. Lovely walks around the grounds, sun loungers on platforms on the cliffs, we came across a nude sunbather (not sure if this is a regular thing). Spotted tortoise wandering around the grounds. We used the spa, €25 each, to use pools, sauna and steam room. We walked daily down to the little harbour, not a lot there, and apparently was the end of the season, and most were closing up. Beach is beautiful, didn’t spend any time on it, as it was very windy. We did a TUI wine tasting trip, absolutely fantastic day was had by everyone one that trip ( wine definitely) , but we were also served, home made bread, cheese, sausage cooked on an open fire, olives, tomatoes, all so tasty. If you want a peaceful relaxing holiday, book this hotel. If you want a buzzing nightlife and lots of shops, don’t. …
Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, good interesting (buffet) food, easy walk to the village, harbour and two nice sandy beaches. Tortoises in the gardens! Spa facilities a bonus, especially if pool gets too cold, but we had great weather and temperatures in the 30's. Pool side bar, surprisingly reasonably priced for lunch, snacks and drinks. Live music in bar at night, but otherwise a quiet hotel. Only down-sides are that the rooftop restaurant was not open, and we were hoping to have at least one a la carte meal, the balcony terraces could be made a bit more private by a simple reconfiguration of the bougainvillea planters, and there are steps if you have mobility problems. Some nice bars in the village. A very nice holiday.
