We visited this Masseria in August. Albeit a bit tricky to find without some prior work on the map, we were pleasantly surprised by the features of this place. It has an historic background and the Masseria is very well maintained. We spent the morning in the swimming pool relaxing and sunbathing, then we had our lunch at 1.30 pm.... More

Dear Sir, Thank you for your compliments about our agriturismo and our staff. Our manager Maurizio in fact due to some insects typical of the country side, constantly cleans the pool to make it clean and usable for all guests. Thank you and hope to meet again soon. Good day. More

We had a very nice stay at Masseria Rossella. Absolutely marvellous food every night - the signora who is the cook plates up nothing but delicious food! The Arbereshe community of Piana degli Albanesi is especially known for its bread and cannoli - people from around the region come all the way to buy it. The Masseria is a 20... More

The rooms are rustic, clean and very quiet, enclosing a lawn and trees with local birds singing. You can sit out in the lawn area which adds to the experience. We were able to do some lovely walks from the accommodation, other walks were via a short car journey. The food was delicious and freshly made, breakfast was a delight.... More

We stayed here one night on our trip around island. The grounds are amazing, staff welcoming, rooms large and nicely decorated. Staff made us a bite to eat upon arrival even though it was between meals. Bar area very relaxing. Dinner and brakfast were wonderful.

A masseria is a country estate, often fortified. Masseria Rossella is built around an inner courtyard. Don't know how old it is. We stayed a few years ago and found the staff, including the owner, very welcoming. Our room was comfortable. Food was delicious, especially the breakfast with locally grown and homemade food. You feel as if you have gone... More

We came for 3 days and stayed a week! We echo the favourable comments of other guests. A super place to unwind, charming staff only too willing to help. Away from the big tourist attractions, the masseria is ideally located to enable guests to discover Sicilian villages and, of course, Sicilian people in their own environment , starting with the... Truly beautiful buildings in a lovely airy setting and simple, attractive rooms. The food is very good indeed, and I recommend it highly. The shorter version of the menu provided more than enough for all of us, and the portions are generous, as is the provision of wine (and there are local liqueurs, if that interests you). The pool has... More

We had a wonderful experience at this Agriturismo. We picked it because of the location and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. We were surprised by how good the food was and ate most of our meals here. This was our third trip to Italy and the Masseria easily ranks in the top 10 for the food. Pay attention to... More

This agriturismo offers quiet and refined surroundings overlooking the most beautiful panoramas of the Sicilian countryside. Service is excellent, not instrusive, and very personal. This traveler stayed for over two weeks. It's not as remote as it would appear. Twenty minutes will get you to Palermo or to the areas of vibrant small towns like Marineo. Plenty of active farms... Everything about Masseria Rossella delighted us - the grandeur of the surrounding hills and valleys, the peaceful beauty of the buildings and gardens and the comfort of our accommodation. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the plentiful, home-cooked food is delicious. We had hired a car and were able to visit Cefalu, Selinunte, Palermo, Caccamo, Monreale and Sciacca... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to untouched countryside. The history: Once upon a time there was a King, who fleeing for his life from his home town, was in search of a place where he could fulfill his passion for hunting. It was the end of the eighteenth century and the King was King Ferdinand III of Borbone. Fleeing from Naples he chose to settle in Palermo and while looking for a place to build his own hunting lodge, he came across the monumental and impressive Busumbra Rock and was ecstatic. It was by his wish that 30km south of Palermo, at the foot of the Busambra Rock, that an imposing royal lodge was built ... ... more   less
