Great and cute hotel. The room is big and clean . Nice breakfast in the garden. Excelent service. Very good swimming pool to take a relax time, and free parking inside. 10 minutes to the beach by car.
As we all know, that feeling of being “home” is oh so important, and we were very lucky during our time in Sardinia to feel like that while staying at Hotel Ariadimari! Seriously, if you ever plan a trip to this magical island, book a room at Hotel Ariadimari. The rooms are very spacious (more so than your average European hotel room - these are huge rooms!!) and the decor is very pleasing. Each room comes with a mini refrigerator, which we enjoyed for keeping extra drinks cold. The best part though? The amazing shower (Rick actually stated that it was the best shower we used in our many hotel stays this trip) and the VERY comfortable bed. We really were able to relax and sleep half the morning away each day (not recommended though if you want to see the beauty of Sardinia!!) 😉 Plus, it was a true king size bed, so we didn’t have to sleep right on top of each other (like we did in some of the other places we stayed). Even better though? Your stay includes a free breakfast, including delicious espressos and other typical Italian breakfast delights. Unfortunately, we only took advantage of this once since the bed was so comfortable and we just didn’t want to get up. Breakfast was served each morning starting at 0800, so it wasn’t like we missed it because it was so early. We just missed it because we were too lazy, but isn’t that what vacations are for? One thing we did enjoy each morning though, was sitting in their private garden. It was a little oasis with plenty of comfortable seating surrounded by beautiful flowering plants and a walkway to the pool covered by grapevines full of grapes. There we would sit and plot our adventures for the day. If you are traveling with family or friends and want a little extra space, definitely book the Family Room! This “room” actually was 3 different rooms, which would allow everyone some privacy and space. The master bedroom was spacious and had an extra twin bed that also could be used as a sofa in a daybed fashion. The bathroom had dual sinks and was large enough for multiple people to get ready at the same time. The second bedroom had another daybed and opened out on to your private balcony. To be honest, I’ve never seen such a large room at such a reasonable price before! It’s like having your own flat/apartment! Hotel Ariadimari is located in a small town, Valledoria, but it is a great location that allows you to explore the island. We were able to visit everything from Pelosa Beach, Neptune’s Grotto, Castelsardo, and Porto Cervo to Asinara National Park using Hotel Ariadimari as our “home base”! Plus, it’s only a short walk into the center of town to go to the grocery store, to grab a drink before a meal, or to enjoy some of the restaurants. It’s not that far out of town to try an agriturismo dining experience or a local wine tasting either. Don’t be afraid to ask Marco or Monica (brother & sister owners) for suggestions in the area! They are wonderful at helping you figure out what there is nearby to see and do. Most people think of Italy as being Rome, Florence, Tuscany, Milan, etc. Those places are wonderful as well, but you definitely should add Sardinia to your bucket list. It’s truly magical!…
The hotel is very nice with colourful, big and clean room. The staff is friendly and very helpful: the day of the check-in they provided a local map with suggestions for restaurants and beach destinations and cities to visit in the area; the hotel also lent me an umbrella for the beach so I wouldn't have to buy one for my stay. The only negative aspects are the poor wi-fi connection in the rooms (it works well only in the restaurant area) and the meager breakfast.
We stayed as this hotel one week ago. After asking two months in advance for a room in upper floor (due to healthy reasons) we called the hotel to confirm one day before and what we received for a very rude answer was "is not our problem if you want to cancel, if I tell you I mind I would be lying". As it was one day before we had no choice but to go anyway, and the stay was ok. Hotel was clean. And that is all, breakfast poor, far from the beach (need a car), at 10am clean was knocking the door for three times to kick us out of the room at checkout day...I guess for a 9 days stay and for the amount of money we pay that shouldn't be the treatment. Not recommended at all
We stayed for a week here and it was a very nice experience. The hotel is very basic but has everything one may need. It is particularly ideal for a summer holiday as it is very airy with rooms overlooking the pool and open spaces. The pool is quite nice too and the breakfast, although there was not much selection, was enough and of good quality. The hosts were very nice and helpful. The rooms are very clean and spacious and the hotel is overall very well kept. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.
