Atlantica Aegean Blue Resort garners mixed reviews, with guests lauding its friendly service, meticulous cleanliness, and scenic location near beaches and local attractions. The diverse pool options and dining experiences generally impress, although some visitors find the pools chilly and the amenities somewhat basic. While the resort's atmosphere has its charms, a few guests feel it lacks vibrancy.
Travelers are divided on room quality, noting cleanliness but also size and decor issues. Despite this, many feel the resort falls short of providing 5-star value, pointing out overpriced services and additional costs.

We stayed in an atlantica resort in Cyprus a couple of years ago so knew this would not disappoint,
To say we are in the middle of a pandemic the hotel is very up to date with hygiene standards, there is hand gel all throughout the hotel, also markers so you’re able to keep your distance, the all inclusive buffet is still on however you will need to wear gloves and a mask whilst around the buffet which is another measure in place to protect their guests. All staff are constantly wearing masks & washing their hands too.
The food was amazing, I have a severe nut allergy and the hotel was absolutely amazing with it, I had a meeting on my first day with the lovely food & beverage manager Fotus who went absolutely above and beyond to make sure I was able to eat safely, I would let him know what I fancied and every meal he would meet me in the restaurant and get my food separately for me from the kitchen to ensure there were no nuts in my food & that my food was prepared away from nuts.
The all inclusive drinks menu was beautiful, they were not watered down like they normally are in most hotels abroad. There was a wide range of different cocktails, wines, spirits etc.
They also had a snack bar in between meal times so you could pretty much eat when you wanted, they served things such as pasta, burgers, hot dogs etc.
All pools were fab, in particular the pool bar.
The hotel is right on the beach so we enjoyed some water sports whilst we was there at a very reasonable price, they offer activities such as parasailing, jet skiing, wake boarding lessons and so many more.
Transfer was short only about 25 minutes, only downside to this resort is the location as there is not much around and it is expensive to get a taxi into Rhodes town, however we went to relax rather than do excursions so this was fine for us.
I highly recommend this resort not just in Rhodes but whenever booking a hotel, the chain is amazing and we enjoyed every second of our holiday in Rhodes and couldn’t thank the staff enough who were absolutely lovely !

Dear Lozclarkee Thank you for this lovely five star review and for highlighting the attentiveness of our Food and Beverage team, this really means a lot to us. We are delighted to hear we made your holiday excellent, memorable and our team looked after you well especially under the difficult circumstances, of covid19 and the safety measures and protocols that we follow. We all look forward to your return soon for another memorable holiday! Best regards

Like many people we booked to stay at the Aegean Blue after our scheduled holiday was cancelled due to Covid restrictions.
What a stroke of luck! This is a really amazing hotel and fully deserves the exceptional reviews on trip advisor.
Location wise you are right next to the beach with fabulous mountain views towards Tsambiki.
From our arrival to departure we were impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of all the staff. Seva and Alevisos at the pool bar were so nice and great fun. Also Bella in customer relations who booked us tables in advance of our arrival. Especially nice to have some fizzy and fruit to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
We can,t recall the names of all the other great people at the hotel but whether it was reception, restaurants or the good people who kept our rooms immaculate, everyone made you feel as if you were a VIP.
The food was really top class on one evening I counted 9 different meat main courses! As well as a great range of vegetarian and fish dishes.
We found the Greek and Italian restaurants especially great.
All over the hotel staff ensured guest safety was a priority and Covid measures were enforced in all areas.
The pools were perfect with plenty of space.
We never failed to find loungers.
Having our granddaughter with us it was great to have the water park on site and have the luxury of a swim up room too.
Kolymbia is a great location to enjoy a family seaside holiday but it is also well located if you would like to see more of this beautiful island
I can absolutely recommend this hotel and add again that what really makes this five stars are all of the wonderful staff.

Well where to start. We were a family of six who chose this hotel to celebrate my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary as they renewed their wedding vows. The hotel was beautiful all round. It was very clean and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. We felt very safe during the uncertain times of covid. Upon arrival our suitcases were steam cleaned and in the rooms was a pack containing face masks and hand sanitizer. Every night all the sun loungers also got steam cleaned. Everywhere was spotless. It was very reassuring. The facilities of the hotel are great. The waterpark we loved, great slides and lovely lazy river. The gentleman who worked on the bubbles swim up bar (sorry cant remember his name) but he was a Liverpool fan, so friendly, polite and made sure everyone's drinks were always topped up.The food was really nice always plenty of choice and we visited the Italian and greek a la carte restaurants. These are highly recommended the food was delicious and plenty of it.
The day itself of the wedding renewal was one that my parents and the rest of the family will never forget. I cannot describe how much effort and thought Bella ( Spirodoula) from guest relations put into the day. She made it absolutely stunning with all the extra little touches that she did for us. Before our arrival Bella was in touch with us to get our ideas what we had in mind for the day so that she could start to organise things for us. Nothing was ever to much trouble and she always went above and beyond. The day itself ran so smoothly and everything was so well organised. The setting was absolutely beautiful. It was in the Italian restaurant with views of the mountain one side and the sea the other side. After the vows Bella arranged for my parents to be driven back to reception in the golf buggy which she had decorated with matching coloured bows. Music was playing and they drove my parents round the hotel, with the guests overlooking and clapping and cheering. It was another special touch organised by Bella. My parents will never forget their special day. It was very memorable and so beautiful. For anyone thinking of getting married here or renewing their vows you will certainly not be disappointed.
Thankyou Blue Aegean Hotel for an amazing holiday and thankyou Bella for everything you did for us.

We stayed here for a week during the mid term break.
Facilities:
For a five star resort it looks amazing, we know October can be a cooler month to travel in so opted for this place because it says they heat the activity pool. Was disappointed as the pool was small, so it got over crowded. The other pools were beautiful but too cold. We ended up spending most of our time doing day trips to the sea as it was far warmer to swim in the sea than the pools. And with the seas being so crystal clear, calm and shallow it is great to swim in, especially for families or those not wanting rougher waters. So we did not get the most out of the resort.
Rooms:
I’ve given the rooms 2/5 stars because we got a family room, but the bathroom doors are frosted glass. Which is weird, because you can still see through, so didnt feel there was privacy. We ended up draping a towel over, but it only covered the top half so didn’t help much really. This was also problematic at night, as with it being a glass door it meant that if anyone needed the toilet in the night the whole room was lit up when they switched on the bathroom light so sleep was disrupted during the stay. Strange to have a glass bathroom door 🤨
Entertainment:
Mainly for young children age 7 and below. I have stayed at other resorts where the entertainment was varied, but here it was mainly for under 7s even late into the eve nothing more entertaining for adults. A few tribute bands that were not great at all.
Food:
We found the food dull, it claims to have a different theme every evening, but that did not come across. We stayed a week and got bored of the food, ended up spending outside. We wanted to try the a la carte restaurants, but were unable to get in a single evening meal there during our stay as constantly booked. That was disappointing. Overall I did not enjoy the food considering the rating of the hotel.
Gym:
Basic equipment, but you have to book in otherwise it gets booked up. Sometimes people book slots but don’t go, so it’s worth checking if empty as they don’t seem to cancel, so when you do book it’s like u are left with 6:30 in the morn but it could be available later on if people just notified reception they are cancelling to free up spaces for others.
Tennis:
Was easy to book a slot.
Waterpark:
Great option, had lots of fun, slides for all ages.
Staff:
Helpful, polite and laid back, made you feel relaxed.
Extras:
Lovely little shop, to get snacks or little supplies from for the pool, sea, etc. The beach was pebble, but nearby lots of Sandy beaches. Highly recommend a trip to tsampika beach! Rent a car if u can, great places to visit that are not too far and the roads were not busy so easy to drive on.
Overall:
Beautiful resort but because of the flaws it meant we didn’t get the most out of what we paid. In future we would probably stay in a really nice hotel or self catering and visit a local water park and visit the beaches as we definitely did not get the most out of this for us as a family of 2 adults and an 11yr old son.

Dear 2019Johndor, Thank you for sharing your opinion from your experience at our hotel and for highlighting our staff & our lovely hotel grounds. We always want guest expectations to be meet and even surpassed and we would have been more than happy to offer you some alternative options or even discuss your thoughts if you had brought your disappointment to our attention whiles you were still in the hotel. We are surprised to read your comments about our food. We use the freshest ingredients and we try to offer a good variety of food options to satisfy the different cultures and tastes that guests at a multinational hotel would have. If we were informed about your concern’s our Food & Beverage Manager & Chef would have gone above and beyond to give you alternatives. About our a la carte restaurants, we do inform our guests that the bookings start 2 days in advance at 08:00am. However, if you had informed us either at reception or at the Guest relations office we would definitely do our best to make sure you had this experience. Even though you were disappointed with your stay, we would still like you to give us the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and let us regain your confidence in the quality of our service, products and facilities. Best regards,

An excellent family holiday hotel -
We had a family room and premium room for our family of 2 adults and 2 children (13+10) the children had the family room which was like two bedrooms with a double bed and bunk bed behind a dividing wall.
If you are up early at 6am you really see the effort made to make sure the hotel is cleaned for the guests.
The yoga / Pilates / tai chi at 8.30am over looking the sea is magical with excellent instructors.
Aqua fit twice a day and loads of activities for adults and children throughout the day. The water park is fab. The pools are brilliant. The infinity pool with bar is lovely and the lifeguard do a great job of keeping this area quiet and relaxing and do enforce the rules to their credit. Although some less desirable guests take offence and get quite aggressive and abusive towards the lifeguards which is a shame.
A special mention to the lovely Bruno who made the holiday such fun, amazing to meet such an amazing entertainer from tai chi to Aqua gym, Aqua basketball we all loved him he is a star.
The sea is warm and worth bringing your snorkelling kit.
The food is varied with something for everyone each night. We never got bored with the food and we stayed for 2 weeks. You can eat in the Italian, Asian and Greek restaurants you just need to book in plenty of time - 3 days before.
The bar staff are great, we never spent much time queuing for drinks, the cocktails are great. We are not big drinkers so might have 1 or 2 alcoholic drinks a day, some people were drinking dawn til dusk.
The evening entertainment was great it ended by 10.30 which suited us as we had rooms near the stage and are early risers.
Get up early and watch the sunrise over Turkey it is quite magical, then have an safely breakfast while it is quiet.
Would return to this amazing hotel again. Somethings are not 5* star but it is value for money for an all inclusive family holiday hotel

Stayed in hotel for 10 nights all inclusive. Didn't know what to expect, and was quite good hotel, you didn't not fell what covid19 was present, all the sun beds was disinfected every evening after pool close down. Face mask are mandatory in Buffet restaurant, and they provided gloves at meal times, plenty of hand sanitiser stations across hotel. Choice of different pool and non of them crowded, so you can keep social distancing. Good infinity pool, which looked over Mediterranean sea. With a pool bar, which you could swim up to. Excellent choice of food, 3 a la carte restaurants, which we could choose at no extra cost. Chinese, Greek and Italian. We would highly recommend Greek and Italian, but Chinese was a very big disappointment. Amazing entertainment for kids, but not to much for adults. Quality of the local drinks was very good, definitely recommend G&T and Aperol spritzer. Disappointment with juices, they were not real juices, but juices made from powder, which was very sweet. Staff are very good and very attentive. Bubbles bar bartender was great, shout out to Manolis. I would definitely return.

We was originally booked to go the holiday village but the hotel got changed last minute due to the holiday village not being open, we was disappointed as we had read up about the holiday village and was really looking forward to it however When we arrived at the TUI Blue Atlantica Aegean we was blown away, we was greeted by friendly staff and the hotel was beautiful, when we got took to our swim up room we was really happy. The room itself was basic no channels on the tv and the WiFi was a bit come and go but the beds was really comfortable and I supposed that’s all you use your room for. Our swim up balcony overlooked the swimming pool and the sea it was really beautiful. Was such a shame that our neighbour was a rude arrogant woman who thought she could shoo my child away from his own swim up pool! The food was not anything fabulous however was always something to eat and I have a fussy child. The snack bar was the kids favourite as had burgers kebabs, hot dogs etc however I do I have one complaint! The woman behind the counter at the snack bar was so miserable and rude it costs nothing to smile you could tell she didn’t want to be there. Everyone in the buffet restaurant was so friendly the chefs the staff who bring your drinks all so lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be visiting again. Would definitely recommend to get a swim up room. I think the management have done a great job in dealing with the precautions for the virus and we noticed that they were learning daily more on how to keep us all safe. The kids loved the water park, I thought my 6 year old would not be allowed on the big slides however there was only one he couldn’t go on so he was happy. My 15 year old really enjoyed the slides too. Overall a really good holiday.

Thank you brodyd188 very much for posting this lovely five star review. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your recent stay and our team looked after you especially under the difficult circumstances, of covid19 and the safety measures and protocols that we follow. We all try so hard to make it right for all of our guests and it's wonderful to know when we achieve it. Thank you also for highlighting our rooms and water park, it means a lot. Looking forward to welcoming you back.

Recently returned from two weeks at Atlantica Aegean Blue.
We booked the trip extremely last minute and when looking for destinations kept coming back to this hotel so finally decided to book it, and we are so glad we did.
We had a fantastic two weeks here at the Aegean blue.
We decided we would upgrade the room to a premier sea view room and we had a lovely view, partially of the sea and of some of the grounds.
I’d say this is worth it if you can afford a little extra.
The grounds of the hotel are lovely and well maintained. Plenty of space for sunbeds whether around the pool or on one of the grassy areas.
4 pools including one aimed at adults with a swim up bar and views out over the sea.
The hotel is set right on a shingle beach with the most beautiful clear and warm sea. There were no sunbeds on the beach but it took no time to walk down the steps from the hotel to be in the sea which was ideal.
We got to visit the Asian restaurant and the Italian during our stay.
Both were very nice with the Asian being our favourite. However the views on a night from the Italian were lovely.
The food in the buffet was plentiful and tasty and we never struggled to find something to eat.
During the day we generally ate at the snack bar which offered hot and cold options, but the gyros were amazing.
The bars offered plenty of drink choices from juices, fizzy drinks, plenty of different spirits, local beer, cocktails and slushes (even some with alcohol for the adults)
The lobby bar was great too offering other cocktails such as espresso martinis and Bloody Mary, all in proper cocktail glasses which you don’t often get in all inclusive resorts.
Due to covid the hotel are using small paper cups during the day. We read this before going so took our own large plastic cups which they happily filled at the bars for us. I’d recommend this to anyone going as the paper ones just aren’t very sturdy.
There was plenty going on during the day around the main pool to keep people entertained, and they even had small shows around lunch time which was a great idea.
The night time entertainment was also great from both the entertainment team and the external acts that came in. This ran on a two week programme too so no repeats for people staying longer than a week.
The only downside I can think of is that the air con in the room only went down to 19 degrees, which on some really hot days I felt it wasn’t quite cool enough and an extra degree or so cooler would have been a little more comfortable.
But that’s not a big issue as the air con itself worked well.
Also, if you want to the room on it seemed to be cheaper to book through the hotel rather than the travel company from what we heard.
Overall our stay was great and we would happily return.
I know everyone has their own opinion on things but I’m not sure what complaints people could have about this place.

We stayed in swim up room block D 1304a. We were lucky to have some sun in the morning but higher numbers really don’t get any in this block and our friends ended up being moved to 1302a because of constantly being in the shade. The pools in early October were quite cold (it’s a shame they weren’t heated).
I enjoy a nice swim each morning and was really looking forward to it but too cold for me.
The rooms were adequate. Shower area needs soap dispensers moving as all you do it bang into them when showering and the screen needs a seal at bottom to stop water ending up drenching the floor. We had to use a hand towel and bath mat to soak it up.
The staff were great and very friendly a credit to the management. We ate at all of the restaurants all food was good quality however the buffet restaurant could do with more selection. The Taverna was our favourite overall but had a great dining experience at all of the a la carte.
We spent most days at the relax pool again shame it was so cold.
We hired a car booked at hotel which was very reasonable and would recommend.
Reception staff again were very helpful and friendly and if you get stuck booking the restaurants they will sort it for you.
During COVID the hotel managed everything very well. Plenty of sanitiser and the welcome pack with mask, gloves and sanitiser was a nice touch.
Great for families

Dear Carol G, Thank you for sharing your opinion from your experience at our hotel and for highlighting our staff & our food & beverage departments especially under the difficult circumstances, of covid19 and the safety measures and protocols that we follow. Regarding your comments on the temperature of the pools. We have two heated outdoor pools, which are the baby pool & the Activity pool at approximately 28o C. Our swim up rooms & main pools all have the same temperature of approximately 19-20o C. However, as they are outdoor pools the weather conditions may affect the temperature slightly. Even though you were disappointed with your stay, we would still like you to give us the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and let us regain your confidence in the quality of our facilities. Best regards,

We visited at the beginning of September with our 3 year old daughter for a 10 night stay after our Cyprus holiday was cancelled. I’ve looked at this hotel on previous years and it’s always seemed a little bit on the expensive side considering the location but this year it came up at a good “Covid price” so we decided to go for it given all the 5 star reviews.
The layout of the hotel is excellent with the pool layout very good catering for all ages, and then the added bonus of the water park at the front of the hotel. We upgraded to a premium part sea view room which was very nice and excellent views of the pools which is just what we asked for in advance. The staff were very friendly throughout the hotel and never waited too long to be served at the bars etc.
The buffet restaurant was dated and food was pretty basic some nights, themed nights were good, the al a Carte’s Were very good, especially the Italian which had a beautiful setting down near the sea.
The only issues for me were the 2%lager (please see other reviews about this), god knows what the hotel is thinking here, I’ve been to quite a lot of all inclusive hotels over the years and never ever had lager like this, I ended up buying the Mythos at €3.50 when in the restaurants and bought cans from the shop in the day. More than 15 times I’ve done all inclusive and never ever had to buy lager! Usually local lager where ever you go is quite good on the AI but not at the ‘5 star’ Agean Blue. I would love for someone from the hotel to explain the thinking behind this because the other drinks and cocktails (even though local) were quite good.
Also another negative for us (which might just be personal preference) was the evening entertainment for the younger kids, there was no mini disco! Now we all know how much the young kids love baby shark and itchy wa etc but only once every 4 days there was ‘fun with Bamse’ where they did 3 mini disco songs. I just thought this was very strange as they had the download for the older kids every night playing eye of the tiger which most kids didnt even know but no mini disco for the younger kids.
So to summarise this is a good hotel If you don’t drink lager and you will definitely have a good holiday, we like the AI hotels and like to try different places although we have returned to some. I probably wouldn’t return to this hotel for the negatives ive mentioned and the fact that this hotel is usually quite expensive for what you get. I read some reviews before we came but didn’t pick up on the 2% lager and presumed there would be a mini disco with it been a kids hotel, but I get the impression a lot customers who come here are returning customers who haven’t been to many other AI hotels.

Dear mcd792018, Thank you for sharing your opinion from your experience at our hotel and for highlighting our food, staff and in general the layout of our hotel. We always want guest expectations to be meet and even surpassed and we are sorry to hear the holiday did not meet your expectations in some areas. However, we are surprised to read your comments about our beer. Like the majority of the branded lager beers, the alcohol lever is 4.5% and the specific brand that we offer has been the same in our hotel for the last three years. Unfortunately, due to the high temperature, we have this year our beers get warm quickly and sometimes it affects the flavor. If we were informed about your concern’s our Food & Beverage Manager would have gone above and beyond to give you alternatives & of course discuss your thoughts. We would like you to give us the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and let us regain your confidence in the quality of our products. Best regards

The beach for the hotel isn't very good in honesty. But if you walk to the end of the road and turn left the beaches are nicer
Yes the safe was free, was big enough to fit my iPad in and a Nintendo switch so imagine it would be okay for cameras etc :)
I’m not sure, sorry!
