We had read all the great reviews and were expecting it to be good. And it was, even better!
We were greeted by lovely Evi and the owner Nikos at the reception and since we arrived a bit early, we were given towels and a possibility to use the pool and the beach while waiting for our room to be ready. They even offered complimentary drinks when we arrived.
The location of the hotel was good for us as it was a lot more quiet and relaxed area than the busy Rhodes town for example. Perfect for relaxation that we were looking for.
Pool area was very nice and there were plenty of sun beds for everyone. Same with the beach.
Breakfast offered was so lovely, something new to try every morning. We also dined at the hotel's restaurant on many nights and the a la carte food was very good and very reasonable priced. The cook also prepared every night something sweet off the menu that was then offered by the hotel for us. The pool bar had a large variety of drinks on menu and Mario, with whom we had very nice talks in the evenings, could prepare almost anything you could wish for even if not listed on the menu.
We had the junior suite and it took our breathe away when we first entered the room. So spacious with the almost 180 degree view from the windows and the large balcony and spotless by the terms of cleanliness. The room was also cleaned on daily basis. The bed was huge and very good to sleep on. No sounds whatsoever from neighbouring rooms. Air conditioning worked well and the water pressure of the shower was very good. There was a big TV with international channels as well as streaming services such as Netflix and Disney+.
We had rented a car for the whole week and there was a big parking space by the hotel where there was always a place for it when we came back from our trips on the island.
The best thing at this hotel was of course its amazing staff. Everyone we met were always ready to go above and beyond and with a big smile on their face.

Our holiday at the Ixia Dream was just amazing. The hotel surpassed our expectations. Everything is brand new. It is just perfect for couples wanting peace and tranquillity. All rooms are facing the sea which is just 50 metres away, literally a stones throw away. We both love to wake up with the sound of the sea and the view is mesmerising There are some many outstanding qualities that make this hotel stand out from the crowd. The staff are respectful and go out of their way to help you. Every member of staff has been pleasant to talk to and friendly. They work very hard and are very attentive, and always on hand. You feel like they are really looking out for your needs. Something that has always stressed my wife on holiday has been the sun lounger situation. No more! There are enough beds around the pool and beach for everyone, no matter what time of the day. The sun beds are also so comfy with thick padded cushions, no more back ache. We spend most of our time at the beach and a highlight of the trip has been to watch the sunset with food and wine while the sun goes down. Our final night tonight and we are planning another beach evening, the special dish of the day tonight is lamb washed down with some bubbly. The food and drink is reasonably priced for a hotel which has meant that we have had more wine and cocktails than usual in a hotel. All the food has been exceptional and tasty. We are so pleased we chose this small hotel. With a heavy heart we leave tomorrow for another hotel in Rhodes. Don't know how anything can top this hotel. We would love to return some day.

Lovely hotel! Only 20 min drive from the airport. Parking available on site. Rooms are spacious, and very well equipped: slippers, towels (including beach towels), shower essentials ,air con, safe, hairdryer, fridge, kettle with tea and coffee. Nice wine glasses! Large balcony with superb views over the pool and sea. Rooms are spotlessly clean; cleaning every day. Pool-side bar with nice cocktails and wine selections. Breakfast is very tasty, with plenty of options! The hotel also has its own restaurant, which serves tasty Greek food for fair prices. There is a private beach area with sunbeds and umbrellas (free of charge). The hotel is situated directly on the beach, making it perfect for those who don't want to walk too much in search of a beach. The staff are Lovely. We spent a wonderful relaxing 11 nights in this small but perfectly formed adult only hotel.Undoubtedly what makes it so special are the people. From Nikos the owner who is visible on the grounds from welcoming guests as they arrive to clearing tables and taking time to talk to guests . Eleana and the wonderful Magda on reception , willing to help with anything and a font of local knowledge. Tony on the bar who is a cocktail master, mixing some wondrous cocktails, always friendly & chatty. Amelia the most wonderful waitress, always smiling and taking time to chat to guests who is so proud of her Island home. Rooms are very spacious with views of the sea, cleaned daily with regular change of towels & bedding. The maids are always friendly and work hard to keep the rooms and spaces spotlessly clean. The handymen do a wonderful job in the background keeping the gardens and hotel very pretty and fresh. The pool is spotlessly clean+ inviting with plenty of sunbeds around it or at the hotels private beach area. No fighting for sunbeds or pre selecting your bed before breakfast which was a refreshing change. The hotel is classed as B+B but there is a lovely little restaurant where you can get lunch +dinner of a high quality + reasonable costs . There was always plenty of fresh fruit home made pastries and cooked selection at breakfast. This is only the 2nd year of operation for Nikos and his wonderful team, I'm sure it will continue to improve and go from strength to strength.

If you like watching about 80 flights per day passing in front of you as they approach the airport this is the hotel for you. If you expect food of any quality you will not find it here or indeed in any of the restaurants in easy walking distance. This is a very rundown part of Ixia with the majority of shops etc. closed and empty. The rooms whilst of reasonable size are minimalist to put it mildly. The beach is rocky and poor and the sea not easy for anybody older to get in or out of. Swimming shoes essential. The barman and the waitress in the restaurant (this is essentialy the only staff in these places that there were) were excellent and very obliging but dreadfully overworked doing 12 hour shifts. If these departed I do not believe the hotel could operate. Rooms tended to cleaned very late. More staff are required but the ever present owner appears to run everything as economically as he can get away with as far as I could observe. A very disappoining stay.

First of all, I would like to thank you for visiting our beautiful country. I feel very proud that you chose the Ixia Dream for your holidays. Our guests’ feedback is very valuable to me and helps me to make improvements. It is my pleasure to hear that you enjoyed our bar as well as our staff. On the other hand I was surprised and shocked to hear of some issues with the time housekeeping visited your room as well as with the number of staff. You mentioned that 80 airplanes passed over the hotel in a day which is quite impossible as well as absurd! Even though Rhodes is a big island it is not that big! Ixia are is one of the most popular areras with many hotels nice restaurants shops and bars for the last 20 years! Please note that housekeeping visits the rooms daily from 9am and is usually finished with all rooms till noon, obviously depending whether guests have left the room for the day or not. Room décor as you mention is minimal and aesthetically pleasing as this is the new style in hotel rooms, especially hotel right on the beach. I am sure you noticed during your stay that the hotel also employees two chefs, two additional waiters than what you mentioned as well as 3 shifts in at the reception desk, and of course 4 members in the housekeeping department so is never short staffed as you mention. All the staff if I am not mistaken where there to please your needs as well as the time they prepared a special dish you requested and you said you enjoyed. I was quite offended by the way you spoke to my staff, it was very rude on your part and I was very clear about it. We do not tolerate rude behavior by guests especially for reason "why we have vegetables in our breakfast?" - everybody loves vegetables especial in the morning and also there many vegans and vegeterians guests. Obviously you are entitled to your opinion but I would like to remind you that the duration of your stay was full of insults to our staff and other guests, moaning about everything that did not please you. In the nearly 2years of the hotels operation and more than 700 online positive reviews , we have never received such a review! You are the only one who had all these issues and I am sure the TripAdvisor users can understand a lot.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for peace & relaxation. The rooms are spotless & comfortable. Breakfast was excellent so many local products were available. We had lunch there also every day & the choice was excellent & so reasonably priced. They also do Evening meals that looked very nice & did some specials also. Every member of staff we met was so kind and it was a pleasure to see them every day. Niko the owner was always on hand with local tips and suggestions. His staff are a reflection of him and as he says, the hotel would be nothing without his Excellent staff. It is right on the beach, you need sea shoes to enter the sea as its stoney right on the edge but sandy on the beach and a little way into the sea. We particularly liked the lovely gardens with lovely trees & shrubs, you can tell a lot of effort has been put into the design & upkeep. There are a few restaurants over the road & within a 10 - 15 minute walk lots more. Unlike one review that I saw there are Toilets & a Lovely shower room just down some steps to the side of the Bar. We have stayed at many hotels over the Years and this is definitely one that we would return to & one of our favourite hotels. A special Thank you to Tony & Niko at the bar, Amielia the lovely Waitress and Evi & Magda at reception of course Tony the owner for all their Kindness & help. The Chef, Room maids And Gardeners also deserve a special mention for all their hard work, Niko has a special team. See you next year.

We have just returned from spending 10 days at this little gem of a hotel. We were looking for a relaxing time and we certainly got that. We were welcomed by Nikos on arrival and made to feel really at home. Our room was spotless, modern and had an extremely large, comfortable bed. The shower was powerful and a fridge was a welcome addition, ready stocked with 2 bottles of water. The sea view from the balcony was so nice to wake up to each morning. Breakfast had a large selection of nicely cooked food and fresh fruits. There were ample very comfy sun beds both on the beach and round the pool, with beach towels provided and renewed as you needed. Every staff member was friendly, helpful and polite. There really is nothing bad to say about The Ixia Dream Hotel. We ate there a couple of times in the evening. The food was lovely. There were plenty of places to eat nearby. Our favourite was San Allott, the stifado was delicious. We hope to return sometime in the future.

This was a 2 week stay booked through Jet2. Once in a while you come across a hotel that ticks all the boxes. This is one of them, it is adults only and only has 42 rooms with more than enough room around the pool, in the gardens and on the beach. Efy and Lena on reception were spot on in making you feel welcome and were always on hand if you needed help or had a problem, thank you. I booked all my excursions through the reception, they use a company called Sigma and I can highly recommend them. I was only staying B&B, breakfast was good, always had something different to try. They have a menu for dinner and lunch, which had a good selection and was very well priced. I ate here and could not fault the food. Tony and Mario work hard to make sure you are looked after around the pool bar and in the restaurant. Nikolaos is the owner, and is always on hand to help, have a chat and make you feel welcome. The room I was in, had a pool, sea view and lovely sunrises over Rhodes town. Kettle with tea and coffee (but no milk or creamer, you can get from restaurant). beds are comfortable, shower is one of the best and the cleaning staff do a good job. The tv has all the necessary channels and WiFi is excellent, even down on the beach. It is a quiet hotel, so if you want some night life, you will need to go outside, there are restaurants, shops and supermarkets nearby (there will be more as the resort was just opening up). This is a 4 star hotel, so you will be subject to a government tax of 7 euros a night that you will have to pay to the hotel. Thank you Nikolaos and the team, I had a great stay.

Superb hotel with just 48 rooms and owner-run. Modern high spec refurbed rooms, with the most comfortable beds and fresh Egyptian cotton bedding. Always subbed available by the pool and on the private stretch of beach. Friendliest staff and very reasonably priced food and drink. Forget the big noisy resort hotels nearby - if you are over 18 this is far far better

What a wonderful hotel. The grounds are pretty and well maintained. The rooms are modern and well designed with everything you need. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun beds.
We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was good and reasonably priced. The staff are all fabulous and friendly and helpful.
The location is perfect close enough to bars, restaurants and shops (all within walking distance) but far enough away to be peaceful and tranquil.
100% recommend this hotel and would definitely return here.
