We have just returned home from 8 nights staying in one of the grand beach front suites. The room absolutely made our holiday, it was clean and spacious and the view was just incredible. I would say the room deserves 5 stars. However there are a few minor things the hotel advertises which are not true. 1) An Exclusive suites check in 2) Welcome drink upon arrival. When we arrived, I wasn’t blown away when at reception, but given this is not part of the suites and is just the main hotel lobby, this Is fair enough. In terms of the food, I wouldn’t say this resembles a 5 star hotel. The buffet is quite basic and repetitive, the Greek restaurant again basic. However the Japanese restaurant and Alizonia (the restaurant exclusive for suite guests) were of a 5 star standard. The only downside to the Japanese is that it is a little section off of the main buffet area, if it was more tucked away and separate, it would feel a lot nicer. Overall our experience with dining was made by the fact we could eat at Alizonia most evenings. One major issue we had with the hotel was to do with allergies. We stated at check in my partner was allergic to bananas. After again highlighting this when ordering dessert one evening, he was served a dessert that contained banana. I don’t think they realised how dangerous this could be for someone who had a more serve allergy, so hopefully this is something they could improve on. The downside to drinks at this all inclusive is the fact there is only 2 bars, a lobby bar and a pool bar. There is not enough space for people to enjoy drinks of an evening when the hotel is busy. We had to keep taking drinks back to our room every night. Also only beer, wine and soft drinks are included at the restaurants, which we didn’t realise. You are not able to order spirits or cocktails when dining which was a bit of a shame. Overall we had a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend staying in the suites, just a few minor things the hotel can hopefully work on in the future!

We stayed in the grand suite 453, pool was freezing cold little sun on it all day. My daughter stayed in suite 450, pool was freezing cold little sun on it all day. Rooms and bathrooms were in need of total refurbishment, mold around the bath, bath coming away from tiles and tiles in bad repair. Was not worth the money we paid to stay here. Sun loungers on beach had no cushions on them, not what I expected for a 5 star hotel. My husband had to get up at 6.45am every day to ensure we had loungers with cushions. Drinks were watered down not what I expect from a 5 star hotel. We went to the Alzonia restaurant for breakfast, staff were lovely, milk and sugar should be on the table. Definitely need more restaurants to choose from. Snack bar we used most days for lunch and again food was never ready and had to wait, we went different times and it was always the same. Booked a couples massage before we arrived, went on Sunday and the spa staff did not have our booking. Luckily enough I had the email confirmation and they managed to fit us in later, we were offered a discount but found out later we got what they were offering people who booked on the beach. In other words we didn’t get a discount. Would we go back, maybe if the issues are rectified, would love to try the beach front suites.

We booked Ixian Suites after our original holiday to Croatia in July was cancelled and I am really glad we up going to Rhodes; it is beautiful. As soon as we got off the plane, we found a TUI rep and advised we had a private transfer to the hotel. It was only 15 minutes which was perfect. The TUI app is really helpful if you’re unsure of anything. First impressions of the hotel were amazing - we arrived at 9:30pm, it was really clean, welcoming and COVID safe. A lovely gentleman helped take our bags to the private pool suite we had booked which was room 410 and WOW - it was incredible! It felt luxurious from start to finish with food left in the room as it was late, daily room cleans, coffee machine supplies refilled daily, a gorgeous jacuzzi bath looking out on the beach. The suites themselves are a great size, you don’t feel cramped at all. You have a balcony from your room looking at the sea and then stairs up to your own private pool which was amazing! The weather was 28-30 most days with wind which helped! The food was by far the best we’ve had abroad so far. We booked on the app for the hotel into their 3 a la carte restaurants, not eating at the main buffet once. The food was yummy, very fresh.. easy to eat well if you want to, but also lots of sweet treats too. The sushi restaurant was our favourite! The service was always really friendly. We had the option of room service which we used once and really enjoyed. The waiters and waitresses at breakfast were particularly fantastic; remembering what we ordered when we went back each morning and just being so friendly despite how busy they could be. One recommendation would be to have the sugar and milk on the tables ready, just as it avoids the waiters and waitresses having to ask and saves them time 😊 The only thing we would change is the late checkout/last day. We had the most perfect holiday, but felt the last day put a slight down side on it. We had a really late flight which we couldn’t change, so weren’t leaving until 8pm for a 10:30pm flight on the Friday. We asked about a late checkout room when we arrived as was recommended and asked to come down on Thursday the day before. We went to reception a couple of times and kept being told to wait an extra hour. We found out at 4pm that we couldn’t keep the same room, but could have a late checkout room which we were grateful. We offered to pay a bit more if needed. The late checkout room itself was very run down. It was quite a shock compared to the main hotel and also where we stayed. The shower was almost broken so hard to use. We also felt once we checked out of the suite, the service was quite different. We were told we could reserve a table for lunch which was initially rejected by the hotel app as it was our departure day, but when we arrived at the restaurant we were questioned and turned away. We know late checkout rooms are tricky, but if there are later flights there needs to be some process as it is a very long day. You also effectively lose a day of your holiday as you don’t know where your room is, what food you can get etc. If we were arriving during the day on day 1, we would have had 7 days in the same room. This can be easily changed though by getting an earlier flight if possible. Regardless of this, which is more of an observation we would 110% love to return. We couldn’t fault anything else, it was by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at and was just such a relaxing way to spend a week. Thank you to everyone at the hotel! 😊 highly recommend it!

Having read the reviews on here before we travelled, I was a little apprehensive as not everyone was happy. Having just returned from a 7 night stay, all I can say is that some people must be very hard to please. From the moment we arrived we knew we had picked the right hotel. After a very late flight, we were greeted with a drink on arrival, and sandwiches, desserts, and fresh frut had been left in our suite. Our room was superb. A huge comfortable bed, spotlessly clean and the best part? Our little private pool. The breakfasts in the restaurant had so much choice and eveything was cooked to the highest standard. Staff were all so friendly and it was a pleasure to see them every day. If we were hungry at lunchtime we had something from the pool bar or the buffet restaurant. Both were fabulous. The hotel sits right on a shingle beach but, unless you are up at 6am, forget about getting a sunbed. They are reserved early (although they are often left empty until after lunch. It would be good if staff removed the towels from empty beds after a few hours. The best part of this holiday was definitely dinner! A different menu every night and we felt like we were eating out in a top class restaurant. Nicholas the chef came out to chat one night and it is obvious he puts a lot of thought into his menus. Sitting in the stylish Alizonia restaurant looking out to sea and watching the sun go down was the best part of the day. Staff had face masks on at all times and full measures were in place to make everyone feel safe. Any criticisms I have are minor. We had an amazing spa bath in our room but we really missed a shower. Yes, there is a shower head attachment but a bracket on the wall for this would be a really easy fix. I really didn't enjoy leaning over the bath to wash my hair. My biggest issue was the wine. I am no great expert but oh my goodness, the white house wine is just awful. It is like cheap, sweet plonk from the 1980s. I wasn't too happy at having to pay £45 for a bottle of wine to get a glass of a nice crisp, dry white to compliment the amazing food. With the amazing chefs and staff there, I am sure someone can choose a decent alternative. Having paid for 5* all inclusive, I would have liked a nice glass of dry white wine with dinner to be part of the package. These little issues in no way spoiled our holiday and we are already looking at re-booking for next year. Anywhere else would just be a disappointment in comparison.

My partner and I were desperate for a holiday after the chaos of the global pandemic. We booked a last minute holiday here as it was highly recommended by a family member. Our arrival was brilliant, we were collected from the airport by a friendly gentleman and dropped off right outside the hotel doors, our bags were taken over to our room whilst we checked in. It was such a warm welcome! We were very impressed. The hotel is beautiful. I proposed to my girlfriend, the room was perfect enough to do so. I had support from Meltem, she was fantastic and helped set up the room to make the proposal perfect. We loved the food, the atmosphere and the views! We would come back in a heart beat. Andrea who worked in the private restaurant was lovely too, she even remembered our drinks order each evening upon arriving at the table!
