Overall this was excellent value for money and a great last minute holiday. The hotel is deserving of good reviews as the staff are excellent, all areas are kept very clean and you struggle to fault the place however there are a few things I wish I knew before going: 1. Not all rooms come with a balcony, there are 'economy' style rooms which aren't all that nice, however we asked to upgrade to a balcony room which was sorted out straight away and cost $30 per night and we were really happy once we upgraded 2. We like to have a nap around 15:00 when on holiday and this is something we struggled to do, the entertainment team would often be playing loud music and it was difficult to have a nap because of this 3. There is a dress code in the main restaurant on a Wednesday which we didn't know about, males must wear long trousers. This was an issue for us because my partner had only brought shorts with him Some other pointers to note: - The baths in the rooms are quite thin so this makes it somewhat awkward to shower at times - Tourism tax can only be paid in cash, there is a local ATM near the shops opposite the hotel - The wifi signal will depend on where you room is, we had a great signal in the economy room but once we upgraded it was difficult to get signal in the room - The orange juice served at meal times isn't orange juice and I really didn't like it however you can buy a carton from the shop and just store in your fridge in your room. None of the drinks served at meal times were that nice so we just got a drink at the lobby bar and took it in to the restaurant with us - There is an outdoor seating area in the restaurant which we really enjoyed eating in, sometimes it felt chaotic inside the restaurant as there would often be a mad rush when the doors opened at 19:00 - The reps will ask you to go into Faliraki and buy tickets off them, some of the clubs are strange and I was being told that I couldn't stand in certain areas that my friends were able to go in? It was really strange. There were lots of positives to the stay, the main ones being: 1. Food in the main restaurant is enjoyable as they make an effort to do a different theme every night and cleanliness is really kept on top of 2. Queues to get a drink are never that long and all the bar staff are great 3. The beach snack bar was great and open from 11:00 - 16:00 4. Curtain in the room is blackout, really good quality 5. The a la carte restaurant was amazing, a 5 star course meal and everyone was giving compliments to the chef. Lots of people were tipping and we felt bad because we didn't have any cash on us to tip. I arrived here with my friend on the 16th June, we were sent here from Evita Bay Hotel after it was overbooked. I’m so glad as Olympos Beach is a lovely hotel, the food and drinks were really nice and the staff were really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is on the beach with lots of loungers, no need to get up early to put towels out, bus stop right outside hotel which takes you to to faliraki and Rhodes, there is also a shopping centre right next to the hotel. Water sports on the beach, would definitely recommend and would visit again.
I don't understand why there are not more posts for this place. We visited early May 2022. Cons: No air conditioning. Entertainment was dire bur understand the time of year. No rubber bath mat in Bath when having a shower. Fell over the bath and ended in hospital. I had a chipped tail bone. Reception did not seem to care and didn't ask how I was ever. Apparently they have them but u need to ask. The hotel needs updating, especially the bathrooms. Pros: Lovely room and balcony. Just beautiful view and was gorgeous. Housekeeping were amazing!!!!! Starts, Yannis and Cara went above and beyond. Beach front was fantastic!!!!!! Great food Great pillows. Great location. Wonderful welcome as we were on honeymoon. Everything else! We would go back in a heartbeat. We know what to expect now so all good. Would love to see the 3 I mentioned before again. And that beach!!!!…
We stayed hear for 2 weeks and we was glad we picked this hotel , the hotel is right on the beach front with a beach bar that also do snacks all day , the pool area is quite small with not many sun loungers , but with the beach the pool area never gets over crowded , the sun loungers on the beach are free of charge and there are loads , you never have to get up early to try to get one , which was great as i was not getting up at 6 to make sure i got one , people where turning up at 12 and still got sun loungers . The staff where all very polite , specially all the bar staff , the hotel is kept so clean , the rooms cleaned every day . The meals where very nice and a different theme every night.for all inclusive the food was of very quality , the restaurant can get very busy when they open the doors , so we left it for about a hour after they opened then it was half empty . The rooms are very Basic and the economy rooms could do with a bit of improving , but when your on holiday you do not go to sit in your room ,so this was not a big issue with us , but know some people will be disheartened . The only thing we did not like about this hotel , is if you get a economy room , there are buses dropping people off and picking people up all hours of the night , and this wakes you up, one night we had 3 buses in one hour , and they do not turn the engines off and can be there for 20 minutes , we was on the 3rd floor but they stooped right outside our window and can be quite loud . it would be nice if say between midnight and 7 they could get the buses to drop people off just round the corner so they are not right outside the hotel waking people up . would we come back to this hotel yes we will diffidently be back…
Aug. 22-én este kb fél 11 magasságában érkeztünk meg, több mint 1,20 óra buszozás után a rodoszi reptérről Falirakiba, a kiválasztott Dessole Olympos Beach Resort 4* hotelbe. Azzal szembesültünk, hogy nem tudjuk átvenni a 2 szobás+pótágyas, tengerre néző szobánkat, amit kifizettünk,helyette a -1.szinten adtak egy, az ő elmondásuk szerinti "felújított family suit" magasabb kategóriájú szobát, ami a valóságban a medencével egy szinten helyezkedett el, kvázi szuterén szinten volt. (fotókat készítettem az állapotáról). Ezt jeleztük azonnal a helyi idegenvezetőnknek telefonon, aki nem tudott érdemben intézkedni aznap este, mondván "túlfoglalásba" van a hotel, ez rendszeresen előfordul!!! Mivel több mint 1,5 óra telt el a reptéri megérkezésünk és a szállodába érkezés között, meleg vacsorát már nem kaptunk (noha az idegenvezetőnk azt mondta, hogy az all inclusive ellátás magában foglalja az érkezés napján déltől a hazautazás napján délig való ellátást!!!), helyette 3 kifliben szendvicset, vaj nélkül némi felvágottal és 3 üveg vizet tettek a hűtőbe. (itt sem lesz megtérítve az ellátás hiánya!) Az érkezés éjszakáján mindezen kálváriát egy 4,5 éves, alvó gyerekkel a karomban csináltam végig, miközben férjemmel együtt 3 bőröndöt logisztikáztunk. Azt mondták a recepción aznap éjszaka, hogy másnap, vagyis aug. 23-án reggeli után jelentkezzünk a recepción és átvehetjük a tényleges szobánkat. Ez délig sem történt meg, csak 13 óra után tudtuk elfoglalni a szobánkat, 2 szoba megnézése után. Ráadásul minden nap 23 óráig zenés program volt a hotelben a medence melletti részen, ami első körben nem lett volna baj, de este kb fél 10-től egészen 23 óráig feltekert hangerővel ordított a zene (amit a további napokban, a 4.emeleti szobánkban is hallottunk, mintha az erkélyen dübörgött volna a zene, az ablakok is rezegtek, s más szállóvendégek is megerősítettek földszinttől az emeleti szobákig.) Jeleztük fentieket a 23-i találkozón a helyi idegenvezetőnek, akinek a stílusa minősíthetetlen volt aznap, egyáltalán nem a vendégek érdekeit képviselte, inkább a hotelt "védte". Panaszainkra az volt a válasza, hogy nem ezt a hotelt kellett volna választani, ha ennyi bajunk van (pedig a hotelről leírt, gyerekbarát paraméterei alapján jöttünk ide), jöhettünk volna taxival is ha a busz nem jó (az árat ugyan senki nem téríti vissza, mert a transzfer benne van a foglalásban ugye - ez saját megjegyzésem), a szálloda túlfoglalta magát és nincs mit tenni stb. Ezt a "szobacserét" a másik két házaspárral, akik velünk egy időben szálltak meg a hotelben, is "eljátszották". Egyikőjük szintén jelezni fogja a tapasztalatait az ő utazási irodája felé. Nyaralásunk alatt naponta láttunk érkező vendégeket, akiket a szuterénbe szállásoltak el,miközben már ott volt a szoba kártyájuk a kezükbe, de az első éjszakát máshol kellett tölteniük !!! Ez igenis felháborító a hotel részéről!! A zene hangerejével kapcsolatos észrevételünket mind a hotel recepciója mind pedig az animátorok vezetője felé jeleztük, de a recepció nem foglalkozott vele. Az animátorok vezetője azt mondta, őt azért fizetik, hogy a vendégeket szórakoztassa. Az még rendben is lett volna, mert tényleg jó programok voltak, aktivizáltak mindenkit és 100%-ban jól látták el a feladatukat az animátorok, de a hangerőt hallhatóan mindig felcsavarták duplájára a minidisco után este kb fél 10-10 óra felé. Így hogy aludjon a táncban elfáradt, kvázi "lefárasztott" gyerek és a szülei is ??? Az egyik animátor viszont megköszönte, hogy ezt jeleztük feléjük, mert más vendégek nem szólnak, csak távozáskor beírják a negatív tapasztalataikat a vendégkönyvbe! Fentieket azért írtam le Önnek és kérem továbbítsa a vezetőség felé Ön is, mert bár programok és tengerpart tekintetében ajánlható gyerekeseknek is a szálloda, de pihenés szempontjából semmiképp sem!!! Az étkezés minősége sem 4* a széles választék ellenére, de a kiszolgáló személyzet kedves és segítőkész volt, csakúgy , mint a medencénél lévő bárban is. A tisztaság is rendben volt teljes mértékben és alapvetően a szállodai vendégek is kultúráltan viselkedtek. Inkább Rodosz városában foglaljanak szállodát vagy délebbre. A szálloda gyenge pontja a recepció, a front office. A helyi, görög utazási iroda felé sajnos nem tudjuk, hogy mennyi visszajelzés jut el a szállóvendégek részéről a hotelt érintően. 1 week in the hotel from 22-29 August, 2019. On August 22nd, we arrived at about 22.30, after more than 1.20 hours by bus from Rhodes Airport to Faliraki, the selected Dessole Olympos Beach Resort 4 * hotel. We were confronted with the inability to take over our 2-room with extra bed, sea-view room we paid for, and instead gave them a "refurbished family suit" in a higher level room, which they said was actually level with the swimming pool. (I took photos of her condition). We immediately reported this to our local tour guide on the phone who could not take action that night saying "overbooked" the hotel, it happens regularly !!! As it was more than 1.5 hours between our arrival at the airport and our arrival at the hotel, we did not get a hot dinner anymore (although our tour guide said that all inclusive catering included lunch on the day of arrival and noon on the day of departure), instead, 3 pcs of sandwiches with some cold cuts without butter and 3 bottles of water in the fridge. On the night of arrival, I did all this calvary with a 4.5-year-old sleeping child in my arms while I and my husband were logging 3 suitcases and 2 backbags with us. Receptionist said that, next day after breakfast, we could change the rooms. It didn't happen until noon, we could only occupy our room after 1 pm. In addition, there was a music program at the hotel next to the swimming pool until 23pm every day, which would not have been a mistake in the first lap, but from half past 10pm until 11pm the music was roaring (as in the following days in our fourth floor room we heard the music roaring on the balcony, the windows vibrated, and other hotel guests confirmed from the ground floor to the upstairs rooms.) We reported the above at the 23rd meeting to a local tour guide, but her answer to our complaints was that this hotel should not have been chosen if we had so much trouble (although we came here based on the kid-friendly parameters described in the hotel), we could have come by taxi if the bus was not good (nobody refunds the price, because the transfer is included in the reservation is not my comment), the hotel is overbooked and there is nothing to do etc. This "room exchange" with the other two couples who stayed at the hotel at the same time with us was also "played". One of them will also report his experience to his travel agent. During our holiday, we saw daily guests arriving in the basement ("refurbished family suit" ) while they had the room card in their hand, but had to spend the first night elsewhere !!! This is outrageous for the hotel !! We were notified about the volume of the music by both the hotel reception and the animator, but the reception did not address it. The head of the animators said he was paid to entertain guests. That would have been okay because they were really good programs, everyone was activated and 100% well done by the animators, but the volume was always twisted to double the minidisco for about 21.30-22.00 hours in the evening. One of the animators, however, thanked us for pointing them out, as other guests do not tell them, just write their negative experiences on the guestbook when they leave! Although the hotel is recommended for programs and beaches for children, but certainly not for relaxation !!! The quality of the meal was not 4 * despite the wide selection, but the service staff was kind and helpful, as was the poolside bar. The cleanliness was fine as well and the hotel guests were basically cultured. The weak point of the hotel is the front desk. Unfortunately, we do not know how much feedback the hotel receives from the local Greek travel agency.…
I will be in this hotel in a week ago and if there was no terrible animators program and wifi in rooms i will give to this hotel 5* but after this i give 3,6 not great not terrible :) Food was good and drinks are good too pool was littlebit small and poll will close everyday at 6pm but when i look from balcony after 6pm other hottels pools are open and people have fun but...
Recently i have spent very nice holidays in this hotel. Thankful to general manager of the hotel mr. Nikos Dimitroulis i’ve got a very comfortable front see view room instead of economy i have booked. I enjoyed the wonderful sunrises every morning from my balcony and i got everything I could dream. Very beautiful and clean sea, good food at the main restaurant, funny and joyful animation program every night, nice and friendly guy Janis at the pool bar. Yoga, stretching, water aerobic etc.. everything you can wish. For sure I will recommend Dessole Olympos Resort to my friends.
We were here for one week, it’ s good place for everyone, fine rooms, excellent meal, nice beach, good programmes for adults and also for kids, really good place for relax and fun, great place for holidays
With my friends we were in Desolle Olympus one week. We think, that this hotel is very great options for the holliday for evryone: friends, copule or family! Evryone who working in this pleace are very helpfull and very kind 🥰 In resort is very great atmosphere 😁 Food was very delicious. I love So much your sos „tzatzyki” 😀❤️ We felt like in home ☺️ Desolle like sun☀️ I hope that we will meet again in sunny Rhodos ☀️🌍 Kisses for Pink Wave team and all Desolle team 😘
We was in the Dessole Olympos one week in jún. Everything was fine. The food, drinks, sea, amazing animation team, housekeeping and restaurant and bar personel. But in the pool bar in the evenening was working one older gentleman and he was not really kind, very rude and he didnt have good behavior at all. If We asked for drink he looked like We disturbed Him. So we better went to the main bar upstair so we didnt have to see his Rolling eyes. Thats why i gave them 4* Boli sme v hoteli Dessole Olympos na jeden týždeň v júni. Všetko bolo super. Jedlo, nápoje, more, výnimoční animátori, milí housekeeping a tak isto aj v bare a reštaurácii. ALE... Pri bazéne v bare pracoval večer jeden veľmi nepríjemný barman. Neviem jeho meno no pri každej objednávke sa tváril ako keby ho obťažujeme. Zneprijemnoval dosť atmosféru večerného programu. Radšej sme si chodili pýtať drinky hore do hlavného baru len aby sme nevideli jeho krútenie oči. Práve preto dávam hodnotenie 4*. Ale okrem neho bol personál veľmi ochotní a milí. Ďakujeme.…
