Sleeping and eating here was impossible for us. Beds are simply the worst. My back aches after 1 week of stay and a 31 year old fit person. For food you really have to look for something outside the Hotel (there are plenty options outside [ I recommend the Village Taste] but you went for an all inclusive hotel..). Only the salads are decent, everything else is trash (e.g: spaghetti was like if it was a soup(?), tasted like water with some tomatosauce). If you like yourself you choose a different place.

The manager worked hard to improve the quality of the hotel. Cheap hotel. The air conditioner didn't work.
The lady at the reception did not help. Very simple dishes. Internet did not work. The male staff was friendly, the older lady in the restaurant was unfriendly.

I felt like I was in Polish hotel. Really nice food, free drinks, ice creams, good swimming pool, about 15 minutes walking distance to the hotel beach. That is ideal place to meet very easy new friends. In my first day I made about 10 new friends:)

I would advise anyone considering staying at the Evi Hotel against it. Having chosen this hotel on offer from a travel agent and reading the reviews I thought they were exaggerated and it couldn't be that bad. I have not been so wrong for a long time. Starting with the hotel staff: the owner awful, nervous and not caring at all about the quality of the hotel, only about his "good" impression. The rest of the staff did not speak English, the plates in the canteen were almost snatched while eating and the cleaning left a lot to be desired. A very unpleasant situation occurred during our stay where a locked ground floor room was 'cleaned', after which a previously locked balcony door was left open by the staff and our belongings were evidently 'searched'. Fortunately nothing disappeared but the staff did not see the problem, a review of the cameras was promised, which was not done and no further reference was made to the problem. Sticking to the subject of the room it was a drama. General filth, towels rarely changed (only on repeated requests), opening the fridge risked fungus and most of the room was neglected to the edge of functionality. The bathroom was very smelly and the shower curtain only served a decorative function. It was impossible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom, and the grate in the floor was not designed to drain this water (it was higher than the rest of the floor). The air-conditioning in the room also stank, and emptying the bucket with water pouring out of it had to be done yourself or have the balcony and bathroom flooded. You can see more details in the photos. I would only add that there was one working socket at 1m. And the alarm clock phone was a dummy. Touching on the food: monotonous, artificial and overcooked. Fresh fruit and vegetables were sporadic, most days everything was canned. With access to fresh fruit, such as watermelon, one could have been tempted to have it more than once a week. Only the plates were ceramic, the rest was plastic. Plastic cups were banging everywhere, even in the pool. The dining room did not have working air conditioning and most of the tables outside were standing in the sun. Meals were very tiring because of this. I can only recommend the swimming pool at this hotel, which is large and reasonably well maintained. The pool area, however, left a lot to be desired. There were very few sun loungers and even fewer umbrellas. You had to fight for a sun lounger and most guests had dibs on them by laying down their towel at 4am. All in all Rhodes is a beautiful place and the complete opposite of the Evi hotel. If I ever return to the island, I will never come back there.

Hotel Evi is in a good location, about 1.5 km from the beach and a short distance from the road leading to other parts of the island. The rooms have old equipment, but everything was always clean. Room service was every day - we received clean sheets and towels. The air conditioning was functional and we used it practically non-stop in the heat. The food was varied and good, only the breakfast contained a poorer selection and generally lacked fruit. The hotel pool and its surroundings were always clean and pleasant. The staff was nice and accommodating.

Dirty curtains, yellow towels, broken sink in the bathroom. Only 2 electrical outlets in the room.
No hair dryer. No waterboiler (kettle).

Dirty poolwater, dirty pool area. The shower by the pool was full of algae on the shower itself and on ground.

The "All inclusive" is not worth your money.
Terrible food and terrible dessert.
Long lines to get food at every meal.

Please use your money somewhere else.

We stayed from 12.08.22 to 20.08.22
We will not come back here.

Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the place.

It saus 3 stars, more like a 0 star.
Just avoid this place.

We had accomodation at 06/2022 for one week via travel agency
. Room was clean, trash bin wan changed , bed was tided daily. Air condition worked well. The staff were friendly.
Meals were made at hotel and prepared as a bufet. You can choose from about 4 types of meal. Lots of vegetables, juice/beer/vine/water for drink. desserts. Every day something else. Same for breakfast or lunch - you can choose what you want. I was satisfied - but if you are accustomed to have all inclusive as in ***** Turkey hotel - itś not for you.

Sea is about 1km far also perfect ice cream same way

I really didn´t have any problem in this hotel. Maybe bed would be softer :)
Town is nice, people are friendy, nice sea and beaches, cheap car for rent, good hotel and food.

I really liked it and would go again absolutelly.

Ok, now that I grabbed your attention. Before I proceed in giving you details of the hotel and overall experience, you need to be aware of one thing:

- I have been a guest of both 5 star hotels (Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau) and I am also a fan of tent trips- camping. I have had accommodation in both most luxurious resorts and in open air.- therefore I can compare this hotel to my personal standards and travel experiences, giving you an honest, somehow objective and COMPLETE review and information.

First of all, expect nothing. Expect less, so you will be surprised by more. The reviews regarding this hotel might make you expect LESS from the place from the very beginning.
However, my personal advice would be to have NO real expectations.

The hotel- buildings, facilities, rooms, bathrooms.

The hotel has a total of 3 or 4 buildings. The one we were in, at the back, had 3 floors.
The hotel buildings at the front- seemed to be slightly older- and indeed, there were rooms in the 'basement' as other guests say on the page, and yes, guests did complain about insects and ants. If you receive a 'basement' room -(which can't really be called that, as they're more like ground floor than 'basement', with open air balconies- table and chairs.)- if you do and you're not happy with it, politely ask for a change. If they seem to say something like 'this is what you paid for' DON'T PANIC, just ask how much you have to pay to upgrade to another room, or simply give them a note, and ask them if that's fine. The place we are talking about is Greece, not Norway or Scotland, so things like this is something usual. It happens everywhere, so be careful- in bars, even souvenir stands- don't be afraid or shy to bargain for products, get best for your money and give more for the best. It's general practice in countries like Greece and Turkey.

Our room was a double bed room. Spacious, clean, NOT smoke-free- so there was a trace of smoking in the room, went away after few days of open windows. YOU CAN SMOKE everywhere in Faliraki, so hotel rooms are no exceptions.

THE ROOM: had a vanity set- mirror, drawers, chair. 2 bed stands, 1 mini fridge, another 2 chairs, nice lights and bed lights, clean white bed sheets, comfortable beds, TV set with around 3 or 4 English channels, air conditioning. -New towels and beds were made every morning by cleaning maids.
*Internet* -You have to pay for wifi internet (I think it's 15 euros per 7 days), or they have 3 computers near reception where you can insert 50 eurocents for 8 minutes of internet. I used to go to the bar in front of the hotel- Kamina- for cheap pinacolada and FREE WIFI. :) I recommend the place.

BATHROOM: All utilities, 2 soap bars, 2 water glasses, all vanity sets and units in place, clean.

Balcony: You could see a corner of the Mediterranean sea, 2 chairs and table. Nice sunrise view.

So far with the rooms. If you get an all inclusive option, good for you. It will end up being much more expensive if you don't. Food on the beach and local restaurants are quite over-priced, so you'll end up spending way more, especially if you're on a family trip- as we were.

THE RESTAURANT/BAR: We got to the delicate and sensitive part- the food. You won't be blown away by greek cuisine at 'it's best' in Evi Hotel Restaurant. You won't be having any fantastic food revelations- but you will leave the restaurant satisfied, and maybe even healthier -many options of salads and fruits you wouldn't normally eat everyday for a week!- The food is BUFFET based, so you eat as much as you want, from anything you want.

At BREAKFAST- they usually serve the same things. Eggs in different forms: poached, scrambled, boiled. Fried ham, 2 types of salami, yoghurt, milk, 3 types of cereal including muesli, Jam, honey, Chocolate Spread, 3 or 4 types of bread, and some cakes and pasties as well. Black Tea, coffee *very weak), and juices (orange, apple and grepfruit) available as well. Ice cream can be served on any meal of the day.

At LUNCH- Lunch is usually the less varied of meals. You will get a selection of either fish, pork or fried chicken dishes, french fries (chips), mashed potato, a good selection of SALADS and salad dressings (yoghurt, olive oil, vinegar...), you will also get cucumber salads including the greek famous tzatziki (very good), carrot salads (for russians and polish) and sometimes baked beans (for British, I guess!). Beer and wine now available. You have to queue up, and you can take as many glasses of beer/wine as you can carry. It goes the same with coke and sprite.

DINNER- the most varied meal of the day. You will get a different soup every day. I had onion, beans, tomato, vegetable soup, mushroom soup.Different meat and veggie dishes, including a great eggplant salad dish, the classic salads, fries, mashed potato as sides. They serve some good greek style vegetable lasagnas or cheese and garlic bread in the form of rectangular pizza slices, they have some greek pasties filled with cheese and herbs, and the best part- the desserts. I love how they brought fresh fruits in every evening. Melons, watermelons, best ORANGES- very sweet, and good juicy fruits overall. Good cakes, jelly's, desserts were lovely most times.

The eating space- as a restaurant- it gets very hot inside, and quite crowded, so it's better you show up when they open or half an hour before closing, after people start leaving- so you don't need to queue up for food, even though queues don't last long, and people aren't impolite- no matter how hungry. You will see cats. Cats are everywhere in Faliraki. Guests give them treats in the restaurant, reason why they come. The staff are trying to scare them away, but guests keep them coming. They won't disturb you though, they just do appear sometimes.

The pool and Bar - The pool is high in chlorine- I can say that because I felt the smell of it while passing by. I didn't swim in the pool not even once, I only went for the sea. It is quite spacious, as far as I've seen. The bar gets crowded before lunch time. You can get all drinks from bar at all times while it's open. The staff- men are nice and friendly. Women are not as nice. (maybe it's the heat.)

Reception and Hotel Souvenir Shop: Friendly and helpful reception. The souvenir shop inside the hotel is sometimes cheaper compared to the ones outside. Some cute little souvenirs for sale inside.

Some other tips. For the beach, keep going right side. You'll get some indications from reception. But keep trying to go on your right hand side, after you pass by the ASDA shop outside and down street from the hotel. The walk is around 10 minutes. The beach is worth it. City centre is around 8-10 minutes from hotel as well (keep going straight).

DRINKING WATER: I preferred bottled water during my whole stay, as I felt like the tap water had a strange taste to it.

Evi Hotel has given me a GOOD impression. It wasn't impressive, or excellent, but it was good. Slightly rough on the edges, and not always over-polite or friendly, but sometimes a little bit of rawness doesn't harm. Greek people are like turks, raw and real.
Overall, the hotel is versatile, and if you can easily adapt to the conditions given, and start enjoying rather than observing what's wrong with the place, you will have a great time. Chose the right company before you leave, as it's not the place that matters in the end, it's the people you're with during your journey.
Sit back and enjoy.

Have a beautiful holiday!

My partner and i stayed here during September 2014 for a week. A week which seemed 6 days too long!! My personal assessment of this hotel is as follows:

We were welcomed to our room with a dent/hole on the door, not an acceptable first impression in my opinion. Upon entering we found it to be small, out dated, equipped with very low quality furnishings and generally below basic standards.

Our bathroom, if that’s what I need to describe it as, was no more than a glorified toilet cubicle. The door actually did not open fully as there was no room for it to do so; it stopped abruptly upon hitting the sink. The only form of bathing facilities was an outdated, lacklustre shower above a bath. The bath by the way was not usable as there was no plug.

The balcony area was no bigger than the front seating area of an automobile to be honest. It was home to part of the air conditioning unit, which itself was in a dilapidated and unsafe condition, with the grill surrounding it partly missing, broken and a safety issue. The curtain covering the balcony door was filthy; it had not obviously been laundered in some time with dirt running the full length.

The view from our balcony/room was overlooking the rear kitchen area, restaurant, unused pool on scrubland at the back of the hotel and the crates and dustbins stacked around the rear kitchen entrance. It made sitting on the balcony an unwelcome area to be frankly.

We booked and budgeted for an all-inclusive hotel. However, the service we received was appalling. The restaurant is obviously not an adequate size for the amount of guests. On occasions there was in fact no seating available for patrons of the hotel. There was no kind of queuing system in place, with people attacking the buffets from all sides and angles. The variety of food available was a joke at best, items served at the lunchtime buffet were found on the dinner buffet, and things on the dinner buffet were on the following days lunchtime buffet.

We also felt there were significant concerns about the hygiene at the hotel buffet.
The food itself was only lukewarm at best, and portions were sometimes under cooked. Upon replenishing the buffet, staff constantly placed new food on top of food already standing within the buffet. There were cats allowed to wander freely throughout the restaurant area during opening hours.

Obviously the whole experience had a negative effect on our holiday and we did not enjoy the food available, on a number of occasions we did not eat at the hotel but ate out at nearby restaurants.

The variety of drinks on offer is very poor for an all inclusive establishment. Watered down to a minimum taste!

With an unprecedented number of cats roaming free around the hotel and grounds, hygiene was not of an acceptable standard. Cats were allowed to use sun loungers around the pool area as seating and on occasions as toilet facilities. They were allowed to drink and groom themselves from the pool itself, which cannot be an acceptable practise for anybody I’m sure.

As stated previously, animals were allowed to wander freely around the restaurant and buffet area during meal times and there was never any attempt to curb this. We even had the privilege of stray dogs wandering around the hotel lobby area numerous times without recourse.

Areas of the hotel/grounds never seemed to be cleaned to an acceptable standard. Rubbish, crockery and other items were left at the entrance to our accommodation for over 24 hours at a time.

Food items, namely watermelons, were left overnight outside in crates at the rear of the kitchen area, no attempt was made to cover these so allowing contamination, and this was also an area staff members took cigarette breaks etc.

The pool area was really overcrowded. Before the crack of dawn, sunbeds were already reserved with towels, some even done so overnight. The leisure facilities were poor and I felt the capacity of the hotel was unbalanced. Too many people and not enough leisure space. Only twice during our stay were we able to sit and relax around the pool area.

The pool itself looked as if it was not cleaned on a regular basis. There were plastic cups floating around constantly, and the bottom of the pool was dirty, particularly around the restaurant area which was adjacent.

As previously stated, we also had the constant cat issues around the pool area.

One Greek night every second Wednesday around the pool area was all that was available. This consisted of Greek music and dancing in one area of the poolside only.

There is no way this accommodation is of 3* standard in any country worldwide. From our perspective, this was not a holiday, and we just waited for the chance to get home.

Charge of 15 euros for WiFi per room per stay, seems reasonable until you realise it is only available in the hotel reception area (cleanest part of the complex to be fair), and is not that reliable for a connection!!!

Hi Camila, 1. There is wifi included but only works at the lobby, it will be slow during peak times! 2. We didnt have air conditioning but luckily our room was in the basement and it was cool down there. 3. I dont remember having a safe but im sure they can provide you with one at a charge. Make sure your sister is happy with the room, check the shower, water and make sure the balcony door closes!! because we found our on our first night, our balcony door wouldnt shut and it was accessible to thiefs! I stayed in this hotel with my husband and we were both 22 at the time, and we found that All Inclusive was really awful, cheap and limited choices! The strip is only a 10 minute walk, plenty of nice greek restaurants and takeaways and non tobacco shisha bars! Our favourite bar was called YOLO, such great owners and staff! our picture is even up on the wall, we went there every night for a drink. Hope they enjoy their stay. Any questions please ask me.

There is wifi, but it costs (I don't remember how much, 10 euro maybe?), but it is available only in reception hall, in rooms there is no internet at all.
