Minoa Palace - wow! This was our first holiday for over 2 years and we had such an amazing experience staying at Minoa Palace. Very clean hotel, amazing service, the staff were incredibly welcoming always and made sure we were comfortable especially with our dietary requirements. Our room was so clean and spacious and everything about the hotel was amazing including views, location, food and ambiance. I would highly recommend anyone going to Crete to stay at Minoa Palace - simply the best!!! A big shout out to all the staff who are super amazing and always welcoming!! A1 service.
Stayed at the hotel in week 42, 2021 and is more than satisfied. Entire area is fantastic and hotel is worth all the stars - especially because of its fantastic staff who do all to make your stay memorable. We stayed in one of the rooms with private pool and sea view. Pool is cold but room and view is fantastic. Pool areas are just fine, clean and standard is very high. Pools are a bit cold but taking into consideration that we are in the middle of October the temperatures are good. Our first stay at this hotel but not our last. Are you looking for a family friendly hotel with fantastic service and staff then we do recommend Minoa Palace Resort
The staff in this hotel are super friendly. Special thanks to Alicia and Despina on the reception who were always happy to provide recommendations and assist. I did half board and the buffet breakfast and dinner was great. Lots of variety and food was tasty. The gym is a good size for a hotel gym. Has cardio, weights and free weights. It does get hot but you can make do. You must book ahead as they only allow 5 people in at a time. Something that should be made clearer. I booked a facial and spa treatment which were great- Steffano does a brilliant massage and Babis on the front spa desk was very polite and friendly. Always managed to get a sun lounger. It was quite windy on the beach and it’s a pebble beach so not that attractive to sit on but was ok. I had asked for a free upgrade and was told I got one - room 406, but this offered no view as just a garden, was noisy as the cleaner store was next door and air con and bits in the room didn’t work properly. Also the bed was awful- 2 single beds put together and so uncomfortable. I put up with it for a few nights and then complained. They changed my room straight away to 410- much better, pool view, everything worked and double comfortable bed. This shows that if you get the wrong room it can really impact your stay which is slightly disappointing as not the standard one would expect from a five star. My only other complaint would be that they don’t offer you free water with dinner. Odd for a five star. They give you one complimentary water the whole stay and a bottle of red wine. The other compliant is that I was given a voucher to use at the Italian restaurant as I arrived late and missed dinner the first night. The staff and service was poor. No one came over the whole meal and I waited around 40m for a pizza even though I was the only one in the restaurant. Otherwise a great hotel but 4 not 5 star. There are local shops close by and plenty of restaurants and bars. A bus to Chania is €1.9 and takes about 40m. I would recommend this hotel- overall Staff were brilliant- Karina in the pool bar was a pleasure.…
Were worried about our first holiday after covid. Arrival at the hotel soon put our fears to rest. The arrival and registration was all digital. Face masks and covid protocols followed throughout the stay. All the staff were excellent from the superb cleaners to the hotel manager. They are the the hotels biggest and most valuable asset. Visit again. Definitely Recommend. Oh Yes
Up until our final morning this was a definite 5* stay. Particular highlights included the homemade cakes and sweets at breakfast, the live pianist, comfy bed, and hotel beach. Also many thanks to all the staff who were so attentive and welcoming. The disappointment was the bike tour, which we could not do as they only have one small bike. We rushed our breakfast on the final morning to join, and had planned our day around it, but only found out it wasn't possible once at the garage. The bigger issue was the lack of real apology from two separate front-of-house staff. If we had received a sincere apology I would have certainly given this hotel 5*. But overall we had a lovely holiday!
