Le Clos de la Glycine looks out over a verdant and peaceful mountain valley and the astonishing red, yellow, and brown ocher cliffs near town. We visited in late October, and enjoyed the fall colors that blended with the cliffs in the bright, even sunshine. The service was good, the food at the hotel restaurant was absolutely outstanding, and we...

We were booked into L'egalantine but when we checked it didn't have a shower only a bath. We elected to upgrade to the suite for another 80 euro / night. The suite was comfortable enough. We did have a fabulous terrace with table and chairs and 2 loungers and a hot tub which we didn't use as it was at...

When planning our trip to Provence friends suggested that we visit Roussillon; a hill town famous for its ochre cliffs. Booking.com suggested a number of hotels. When comparing their ratings with Tripadvisor reviews we settled on Le Clos de la Glycine. Located in the center of town it offers guests the opportunity to experience the town after dark, when the...

This is a delightful family run hotel right in the centre of Roussillon where the bedrooms and restaurant look out over the ochre cliffs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the hotel is very welcoming, and also has the best restaurant in Roussillon where we ate very well both nights. There is a small bar and lounge for residents. The...

Parking is in a public car park a few minutes' walk away but if you are resident in the hotel it is free of charge. Bedroom was small but charming and en-suite shower room very modern....

The room me and my wife stayed is not so big, but it fits with our needs. The decoration is so elegant and we just love it! The restaurant ran by the Hotel is nice. We stayed for two nights, had two breakfast and one dinner. The one dinner we missed was because we tried to make reservation too late....

Location is right in the very center of the squashed medieval village. Four parking spaces are good for mini-cars; and you have to reserve one when you book a room. Because the building is ancient, one has to excuse some of faults we found, but our room was still not appealing. Look elsewhere for a place to stay. However, oddly...

The hotel was in the perfect location, close to the ochre cliffs. We had the Aubepine room, a corner suite overlooking the cliffs - the views were incredible. The staff was pleasant and attentive and looked after every detail. We appreciated that the housekeeping staff closed the shutters to our room when they cleaned it since we had the afternoon...

People come to this town for the red cliffs (lovely, like the best Arizona sandstone areas, but our room here was just as beautiful. Charming country style, classy, with views of the countryside. The breakfasts on the patio overlooking the cliffs was fab, with fresh figs, fine cheeses, and first class pastries. for dinner, a classic French menu, very reasonable...
