Location is perffect; staff are attentive. Dinner and breakfast are overly slow. Rooms need a facelift. Also parking problems with overcrowding, BUt its LOVELY and the staff bend over backwards to help; Highly recommended for those seeking luxury base in Dordogne
We stayed for a week, what a perfect place to «re-charge» your batteries. At this hotel you do not feel like a guest, you feel like family. All staff members greets you and remembers who you are. They make sure that not only your stay at the hotel but also your activities in Dordogne become as good as possible. It is rare to meet a staff so coordinated and well tuned towards a common goal of serving us the best way possible. The food is superb, the garden is a peaceful sanctuary secluded from all external noise and disturbances, the rooms are personal and you sleep well. Le Vieux Logis has made Tremolat a living village with its bistro, café and bakery within a few meters from the hotel Superb biking opportunities using the hotel as a base We will send friends here – no…
This Chateaux was the last one in our tour and is located in the far western side of the Dordogne. It happened to be a magical place nice big rooms, a swimming pool, a beautiful garden and above all an enchanting location for dinner in the garden. The meal was truly one of the best we had very tasty very professional and a real culinary adventure. Breakfast again was among the best we had! All in all very very recommended!. The only omission in remember is the refusal of the young waitress to replace the cutlery between courses which should not happen in a place like this. In the morning we were assisted by the manager with our luggage a nice gesture!
Exploring around and above the Dordogne by bike. We fell upon this delightful spot sitting on the market Square it just happened to be time for a break. Shady spots to sip cool drinks along with inviting menu. Nearby is the ancient church which has been integral in forming part of the route of Camino for pilgrims. Delightful quiet country roads to cycle around taking in the naturally pretty French countryside.
The hotel and grounds in the tiny hamlet of Trémolat is incredibly charming. The service is exceptional as well. The room is nicely appointed, and cozy. The bathroom is modern and easy. The grounds are exquisite and amazing. Eating breakfast from the restaurant and viewing the grounds is like viewing a painting. The hotel owns La Bistrot de la Place, across the street, and is a much better value than the hotel’s Michelin star restaurant which has several set menus starting at €80 per person. I’d like to especially highlight Esther for taking extra special care of my partner and I during our stay. She was charming, proactively helpful and an incredibly gracious host. Getting to know her was a pleasure. This is, hands down, the best hotel in the Dordogne.
