The individual and common rooms are all decorated with magnificent French fabrics and furnished tastefully and very traditionally. Enjoy the grounds and common areas here, especially as rooms are quite expensive. This is not a place for a quick one night stay, Le Vieux Logis can be used as a base to explore the area's attractions, though most of the major ones require a drive of at least 45 minutes. Breakfast at 25 euros is expensive, but the room in which it is served is lovely. We did dine at Le Vieux Logis, and, although the food was well prepared, I did not find it particularly noteworthy, especially given the price.
My room was quaint and cozy, with pretty garden views and antique decor. Huge comfortable bed, hot shower and towel heater. The breakfasts were sumptuous: fresh pastries, fruit, meat and cheeses, yogurt. The grounds are beautifully maintained with a lovely pool.
We have travelled extensively in Europe and in particular in this region of France. If at all possible, we love to stay in Relais and Chateau properties as each of them offers something slightly unique but we have found the level of service and experience can always be trusted. This property was no exception. We were given 2 adjoining rooms at the end of a driveway across the lawn and they were fantastic. Quiet, comfortable and stylish. Breakfast was also lovely. (outside most of the time but inside on one inclement day). We didn't actually have dinner in the main restaurant. A fantastic location in the properties gardens, and we are always very happy to indulge in Michelin Star restaurants but the menu at this one we felt was quite limited. (Safe to say there was a fair bit of…
