Local team booked this hotel and I can see it would have been great in it's day (about 20 years ago). It is still OK to stay at but could do with some TLC to the rooms and grounds. Food was good for breakfast and dinner. Good little bar downstairs. Make sure you book a non smoking room ! I had to change rooms and the new room was much better - also updated somewhat. There are big gardens behind the hotel to explore and I think it joins to an amusement park.

The Farrington at Weifang used to be the hotel in town until the Pullman came along. The rooms are on the traditional side, but are extremely clean and I loved that their towels were thick and fluffy. The standard of their F&B is very high and I enjoyed both their breakfast buffet and dinner.

Every year we have family dinner in their restaurant at the second floor and each year they have out shined the previous years. Only thing personally I miss is different glasses for different drinks- beer, tea, whiskey.

When you are in Weifang you don't have a gret choice of hotels located close to the customers you may visit The Farrington was practical for me in terms of location. Rooms are huge, as the hotel is. It looks like a communist party convention facility. The restaurant is fine, the "chinese raviolis" are quite good (the vegetarian ones, the lamb ones too strong for me) Breakfast looks like any other breakfast in a chinese hotel with smoking loud guests next to you... That said, bathroom is not great when clean, english...poor, wifi not existing, foreign TV channels...what for Great place to relax, no emails, no calls, no TV to watch...you can easily recover from your jet-lag!
