This was the second time we had stayed at this guest house using it as a stopping place en route between Wilderness and the West Coast. It is utterly charming with well equipped rooms situated in a lovely garden at the rear of the property. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and will organize a restaurant in town for...

The B&B is on the main road of Montagu, so everything was within walking distance. The rooms are like little bungalows set in a beautiful garden, so it all felt very private. Our room was quite big with everything we needed, a good bed, a big bathroom and a nice terrace where we could sit very privately. There is also...

We have stayed at Malherbe on several occasions. We find it to be convenient for town. The rooms are well equipped and nicely furnished. The owners Hoop and Micki are very friendly and efficient and most helpful. The breakfast is excellent, the pool area is small but clean and has sunbeds, the rest of the garden has lots of plants...

We stopped at the Malherbe Guesthouse for one night as part of our drive along Route 62, we really enjoyed our stay and could easily have stayed longer. The property is easily found right on the main road, but no road noise whatsoever. There are just a few rooms set in a lovely garden, with a small but very adequate...

Friendly hosts, great atmosphere, spacious room, charming pool area in a little town on South Africa's route 62. The breakfast is served by the host and extremely delicious. A visit in the restaurant Simply Delicious (350m) from the Guesthouse is also recommended strongly. Kathrin & Martin

We stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon and we're greeted very friendly and warmly upon arrival and every morning. Breakfasts were delicious and prepared with so much thought. Rooms are stunningly decorated and bathrooms big, rooms were cleaned thoroughly every morning!

Excellent guesthouse with spacious, tastefully decorated bedroom and nice bathroom with bath and shower. The breakfast was very good. Both owners made us feel welcome and gave us tips for lunch and dinner.

We stayed here one night on our way from Stellenbosch to Oudtshorn. The little town Montagu is really nice with small beautiful houses. The same is the Malherbe guesthouse. It has a very tasteful interior and a beautiful garden. The owners, a very friendly Dutch couple, are helpful and doing everything to ensure a perfect stay.

This is a neat B&B in lovely Montagu. Even though it is on the main route, the rooms are very quiet and peaceful. They were also quite large and very comfortable, set in a garden atmosphere. It is a short walk to restaurants and is in the center of a great wine district. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were...

Beautiful weekend away. Malherbe Guesthouse was the perfect choice to rest up after each day's activities. The breakfast is top notch and the Owners do not skimp. Really nice to wake up and sit down and be served a hot breakfast with so much variety. Rooms are large and the bed was quite comfortable. Bathrooms are spacious with decent finishings....
