Had a fabulous getaway. Absolutelu loved the private pool and the view from it. Ordered lunch and bfast as room service and it was very well serves. Dinner at the main restaurant was delicious. All the staff was friendly, attentive to details. We mentioned on arrival about my husband glutenfree requirment and at every meal, his plate was adjustes to meet his requirment. Lovely touch
We stayed two nights in this exotic luxurious resort. Old but very well-maintained hardware made us comfortable and fresh all the time during our stay. Our stay was full-board (maybe all rooms are sold with full-board in this resort) and to be honest, we didn't expect not so much on this including meals. But that was totally wrong. They served a la carte menus for breakfast, three-course meals for lunch, and five-course meals for dinner(three-course meals of our choice plus 2 small dishes from the chef's side). Believe me, these are not just free inclusive meals, but fine dining. The table setting was truly formal, and the staff was in an absolutely nice manner. For example, when main dishes were served during dinner, they arrived with stainless cloche covered! Every meal we chose was so delicious. The one con was only alcohol(expensive but less value and wine glasses were not good. Maybe similar to most restaurants in UAE) Thanks to the very kind and helpful restaurant staff: Anjal, Babu, Rokha(he gave my wife an ice pack for injuries from activity after he noticed her frowning face because of pain.) Every guest can enjoy 2 activities per day. And again believe me. These are not just complimentary activities. High-quality tour indeed. We did Camel trek, Nature Walk, Archery, and Falconry. Especially We had a memorable experience with Nature Walk and Falconry. Luckily, there were only two of us during the Nature Walk. Professional desert guide, Shaj, led us to fabulous scenery with deep knowledge and a sense of humor. And also was a good photographer. I really appreciate what he has done for us. Falconry was an exceptional program. We have seen many birds of prey at the zoo. However, this was a totally different experience. It was a very interesting memory ever! I can't remember all names of the staff in this resort. They were all kind and helpful. Thank you to all the staff in Al maha Desert Resort.…
We stayed for 16 days at Le Royal Meridien , Dubai ( see separate report) and in between we had a 2 night stay at this totally beautiful and relaxing place. We stayed in a Bedouin villa at the end of one of the roads . The villa was amazing- totally calm and relaxing. Words can't really describe how wonderful this place is so i've attached some photos that showcase this special place. Honeymooners would love this place as well as any couple celebrating a special occasion or anyone who simply wants total relaxation and peace and quiet , with desert activities included in the price. This was a post pandemic treat....not cheap but you get full board and 2 activities per day but any alcohol is extra and this is quite expensive as you would expect in Dubai. The food in the restaurant is Michelin star standard and the presentation is quite simply exquisite. Book this place for a one or preferably two night stay and the wonderful memories will be etched in your mind forever. Quite simply PARADISE ON STEROIDS.…
I went on a morning safari with Platinum Heritage which combines a breakfast at Al Maha. Driving through the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve was amazing and we could spot some Oryx, as well as there, was a feeding station on the way to Al Maha. The view and Breakfast at Al Maha were amazing!!!! And we could see some gazelles and baby gazelles, which made my day!!
We stayed here for the second time, returning after 3 years, and it was interesting to compare pre- and post-covid stays. This time we were given suite 33, which was nice, clean, with huge and comfy king bed. We did sundowner and wild life tour, both were great with terrific guide from Australia (of all places). All the food was very tasty and high quality, so highest possible compliments to the kitchen staff and the chef. They still serve world best tiramisu here! All the staff extremely friendly and helpful, couldn't be better. My only negative would go to the fact that suites start to show some wear and tear and some minor renovation here and there would be needed (like toilet and some furniture in the suite), and some thorough maintenance also (like water marks in the pool). But this is still minor compared to wonderful soft product they offer.…
Me and my husband had the best experience at Al Maha … it’s truly a luxurious and relaxing place to stay .. my stressed mind was completely relaxed .. the staffs especially are great at customer service .. I have to mention Mr Pubudu who had been a great guide to us during the stay .. he truly deserves a raise !!
A belated "thank you" to all the team at Al Maha for a most wonderful experience enjoyed by my wife and I earlier this year. The desert location was simply wonderful. The endless sand, tinted red by its iron content, was utterly beautiful. Our room, modelled on a bedouin tent, was extremely private. This served to enhance the feeling of oneness with nature. The sky was immense and the night sky aglow with stars. Although most of the wildlife remained hidden from view, evidence of its existence was apparent in the tracks and footprints that the numerous creatures left in the sand. I don't think I've ever heard a cacophony of bird song quite like the late afternoon roosting birdlife each day. The food was exquisite. Truly. The manager and staff were terrific. Our welcome heart felt. Our departure a wrench. Without wishing to overlook the wider team, let me mention Shazab, Karan, Lorraine and Kesten. And special warm wishes to Yogi; a lovely young man with whom we immediately become friends and whose care for us elevated our experience at the Al Maha to an even higher level. Proof, if proof be needed, that it is the people we meet on our travels who define the places we visit. Andrew…
I don’t have an expectation going into this resort as this is my first luxury collection hotel under the Marriott Bonvoy program. However the stay at Al Maha definitely has been my favourite part about visiting UAE. Our end-to-end experience: 1. Driving into the dessert feels unreal, everything is fenced off so I almost feel like we are entering into restricted areas until we learn it is a conservation park for the oryx as they are endangered and almost extinct without Al Maha. 2. Staff and field guides were absolutely amazing! They are so easy to talk to and very accommodating! I am not good with names but everyone there is nice and friendly and makes sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. 3. The room will take your breath away if coming into the resort hasn’t already which surprise surprise. It gets better as you go! The room is built like a tent to embrace and celebrate the Bedouin history. Don’t get turned off by tent yet because it will be the most beautiful and well equipped tent you will ever stay in probably in your life time. Every room comes with AC, a bigger than king size bed, TV, full-suite bathroom, private swimming pool and amazing view to the desert. Surprise guests will visit your balcony/backyard, aka Gazelles and many many birds. We had the opportunity to see Gazelles all around the resort and birds drinking from our private swimming pool :) 4. The food! Sri Lanka dinner is a MUST TRY!!! Everything is all inclusive except for alcohols I believe. This is probably the best all inclusive resort I have ever been to. From breakfast to lunch to dinner, you will be enjoy every single one of your meal and treated by the most friendly staff ever! We didn’t get to try the Arabian dinner but from the Arabian menu offering in the breakfast, lunch, and dinner I would expect nothing but amazing dinner so def try it if you can. 5. The weather: it’s HOT! If you wonder why the activity starts from 5:30AM, it’s because it gets too hot during the day. We usually wake up early for morning activities and enjoy breakfast and goes back to the room to take a nap. You can enjoy the private swimming pool but it will be too hot from 11am to 5pm in my opinion. However, the pool temperature can be set to hotter and cooler for your preference and staff will come help you set it up and clean your pool as per requested. Afternoon activists and dinner will be more enjoyable, so we usually order room service for lunch (which is also free of charge) 6. The private swimming pool has to get a special shout-out! We went to the Maldives after our trip to the UAE so I am biased to say having a private swimming pool is the best part about any resort. But the one in Al Maha is extra special. Not only you get a view of the desert, you also have the option to change the temperature of the water like I mentioned above. I think I almost left out the beauty of the design and how photo-genetic the pool is. We took many photos and each and every single one of them looks like they are from a travel magazine. IT’s that beautiful! 7. Wifi has been amazing, we have no problem connecting to the wifi all over the resort, even sometimes out in the desert :) but I would recommend disconnect and really enjoy the surrounding as it is probably once in a life time experience, at least for me. 8. The activities were all free-of charge expect for horse-back riding I believe, but it is absolutely amazing and must do when you are staying at Al Maha! All the field guides were extremely knowledgeable and will answer all your questions to make sure you get the full experience. My partner had a naughty camel and unexpectedly tried to sit down when my partner had just got on the camel. It was horrifying as this is our first time camel riding or even horseback riding. However the staff was so nice and attentive for the whole duration of our stay. We were checked upon daily to make sure the incident hasn’t affected our health or the pleasure of our stay, needless to say it didn’t affect our trip thank god. But lucky to have an amazing team to look after you for all the activities. Things we did: - Camel ride (amazing opportunity would recommend for adults and older kids, would not recommend for elderly as it could be bumpy) - Nature walk (highly recommend if you want to learn about the dessert and the land that makes Al Maha such a one of a kind place on earth) - Wildlife drive (highly recommend because you will see Oryx and Gazelle up close and understand their living habits and hopefully do a little dune bashing as it is not longer available until further notice) - Falcons (not my personal favourites but you will get to see a variety of birds flying and learn about their behaviours and history) Overall experience: 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are visiting Dubai. Don’t miss out this gem in the desert!…
This resort is unique in many ways.. beautiful rooms, amazing desert location, interesting activities.. all fantastic. What makes this resort special is the staff. They are unfailingly welcoming, helpful and superbly trained. They absolutely go the extra mile for guests. I want to mention the dining room staff who were all excellent.. Prakash the manager who made sure we had the meals dinners we wanted(be aware that you can request off menu items).. Tracy, Yasuda, Catherine and Ashok.. Thank you! Housekeeping staff were also great. The rooms are in different locations.. some much closer to the lobby and dining room, with varying views. No matter how far you are from the lobby, the staff will pick you up in a golf cart . We walked most of the time so we could see the wildlife .. mostly gazelles. Do not miss the bird experience and ask to go back and see the birds that are not brought out for the show. Very interesting. The only thing that made our stay less than wonderful was the weather.. something the resort has no control over. It was insanely hot. We would love to come back in January..…
Stayed 5 nights in this amazing resort, almost cried when had to leave. Everything is absolutely stunning, view from villa , wildlife around, accommodation, service, food and activities. Felt like celebrities with all this attention from everyone. Many thanks to all the staff making our wedding anniversary so special especially Shahzab, Winnie , Srini and the star of this resort , Piotr, the executive chef , for his creativity and quality of food fit for the royals
