Fantastic diving around Hat island. Staff and guides were great. Diving amazing in pristine waters with beautiful corals and fish. Great lunch on board and icy cold beer available back at the resort. Hot shower and turtle sanctuary a bonus.

This day trip was recommended by the owner of one of the largest diving operations in Port Vila. He said its where he and his staff go for special dive experiences. He was right! The diving was spectacular and the whole experience a life time memory. The dive services where very professional and the diving made easy. The eco resort...

I am reluctant to share this secret but if the 2 dives I did with Tranquility diving are anything to go by, this is the most beautiful spot in Vanuatu! All the staff obviously love their jobs (who wouldn't?) and are there to make it a great experience. There are about 18 sites around the island. The two we did...

Firstly I would like to thank Sam and Joe - the resort managers and dive instructors. They absolutely made the trip amazing. Friendly advice and a real personable interaction made me feel like i was amongst friends even when surrounded by strangers at the dining table. These two truly are great people and in would return just to see them....

On the one hand you cannot help but want to love this place, it is a staggeringly beautiful location, calm, peaceful and yes tranquil but in the end you realise its all a bit run down and in need of some love. Very basic budget rooms being sold as resort accommodation. Port Havannah is definitely worth some 2-3 days but...

A wonderful visit with a lovely guide - a simple and lovely island, deliberately uncommercial, just getting on with the business of saving turtles. We were able to touch the turtles and release one back into the sea. I loved it! And the snorkelling was terrific with a wonderful array of fish and corals. We didn't stay on the island...

Paradise par excellence, this place ticked all my boxes and more. Within fifteen minutes of arriving, I decided to cancel my ongoing flight to Santo and stay longer. Having planned to stay for 2 nights, I ended up staying 5... The bungalows are wonderfully situated, with your own little private beach from which you can snorkel and swim. When I...

I great way to spend a weekend away from Port Vila. It's close but seems remote. The coral was cool, with great visibility snorkeling out front on the Sunday. The diving well organised, good boats and staff. The fares are well placed/spaced; almost on the beach and very private, with your own bathroom, hot shower, when gennie is running. The...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We do not offer luxury, but we do offer simplicity and the chance to get back to nature. Our beach huts are stylish yet basic and constructed from local materials using local methods. Each faces its own private beach and is equipped with western facilities. The island has no mains power so there are no flat screen television or mini bars, but we do stock cold drinks in the restaurant and our food is freshly delivered every day. We use solar panels to provide 24 hour lighting and we have a diesel generator that is on for several hours each day providing 200-240 volts to charge up your gadgets. We pump water from an underground lens and harvest rain water whenever possible. We aim to minimise our impact on the island land, cutting back trees and growth only where essential and leaving habitats intact. Free WIFI is available at our WIFI hotspot and local mobile phone networks cover the island. With no mains electricity, no cars or bikes and very little light pollution, Tranquillity offers you the chance to see, feel and listen to nature as nature intended. Campsite and private beach camping available as well. ... more   less
