We tripped over to Moso to see the turtle sanctuary at Tranquility and it was so cool to see and hear how they're protecting the turtles and the release program. A very helpful Aussie visitor showed us around. It would have been nice if the manager had been there as we wanted to adopt two turtles, but no one was...

We spent New Years with Joe, Sun, Socks and crew and I can honestly say it was the highlight of my Vanuatu trip. Neither my wife or I dive but we wanted to remote place we could relax but with Tranquility we got more besides. As there was room on the dive boat in the afternoon we we're invited to...

Loved my 3 night stay here - so peaceful and fantastic reefs! All the staff are so lovely, but especially Tommy, who is a fantastic dive guide, and Douglas is a great chef! Sun and Joe are great managers and dive instructors. The accommodation is basic but comfortable - loved the hammock by my bure and would have loved to...

OK...we get "island time" is a real thing but waiting an hour in the sun for a bus to turn up just plain sucks. Jammed in with a bunch of other annoyed clients and their gear we endured the 40 minute trip to the harbour. Transferred across to the island, showed our dive cards and back out for the first...

Very sorry to hear how you had problems with the transport. We had a few major issues that day as Port Vila Council had closed off a few roads due to a major project which is underway with Australian Aid. It caused chaos with our morning pickups. We are often a little late with pickups but an hour to wait...

Our group continues to return to Tranquility for the amazing all round experience that it provides and once again we were not disappointed. Sun and Joe were fantastic resort managers who left no stone unturned in providing experiences for our group. These included traditional cooking, beach bonfire, turtle talk and release (Sun is passionate about marine conservation and was great...

I did not stay here just came over to dive however I can say they have great wifi here. As part of the diving I was provided with lunch everyday - basic fare but very delicious and lots of fresh fruit. Joe and Sun told me the accommodation was pretty basic but the parts I saw were comfortable and I...

The trip made me worry about my future. If I ever will find another spot around the world that would top this place. It connected me back to nature. Such bliss. Did my basic and advance dive cert here. Joe and Sun were exceptional and not to forget the king of the Island Socks and soon to be queen, Boots....

I can not speak highly enough of Tranquility. The staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with, the food was 5 star home cooked just the way you would like it (even yummy treats after dinner), the accommodation was very clean and comfortable with cleaners daily. The entire team at tranquility made it such an enjoyable trip we had originally...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We do not offer luxury, but we do offer simplicity and the chance to get back to nature. Our beach huts are stylish yet basic and constructed from local materials using local methods. Each faces its own private beach and is equipped with western facilities. The island has no mains power so there are no flat screen television or mini bars, but we do stock cold drinks in the restaurant and our food is freshly delivered every day. We use solar panels to provide 24 hour lighting and we have a diesel generator that is on for several hours each day providing 200-240 volts to charge up your gadgets. We pump water from an underground lens and harvest rain water whenever possible. We aim to minimise our impact on the island land, cutting back trees and growth only where essential and leaving habitats intact. Free WIFI is available at our WIFI hotspot and local mobile phone networks cover the island. With no mains electricity, no cars or bikes and very little light pollution, Tranquillity offers you the chance to see, feel and listen to nature as nature intended. Campsite and private beach camping available as well. ... more   less
