We stayed only one night and would have loved to have stayed more! The hospitality we received from the Stubbs family was outstanding, they were warm and friendly and extremely accommodating. They even allowed us a late check out so our little baby could sneak in a morning nap. The rooms were clean and cozy and the breakfast provided was...

We stayed the weekend in this beautiful, quiet and peaceful spot. The cottage was wonderfully clean, nice views, good breakfast and plenty of space for the 2 of us. A very warm and cosy cottage. They also had their own glow worm caves and you could wander around on the farm. The hosts were always easy to deal, with, friendly...

We stayed here for 5 nights during our 3 week vacation to New Zealand's north and south islands. From the moment we arrived, our 3 kids asked if we could stay at Te Tiro for the whole trip. We absolutely loved it. The room was cozy, clean, bug free and beautiful. The Stubbs family was the best! I have never...

Considering the glowing reviews here, I'd like to think that we were just plain unlucky, but I'm sharing our experience anyway so that future travellers can be prepared for the worst case scenario. First of all, I'm giving it a 2 star instead of 1 because the owner was a nice friendly guy (leaving out the name because it really...

We stayed here for one night on our 2 week trip around NZ North Island. This is a very quaint and small cabin, but in such a lovely picturesque surroundings. We were the only visitors (there are two cabins) so it was incredibly peaceful. They have an amazingly fluffy cat (called Ratbag) and he was adorable and very friendly, he...

We stayed here for one night of our 9 night north island holiday and I wish we could have stayed longer. This place is simply beautiful. The views here are amazing and the accommodation small, but perfect for our needs. The farm is a great place to go and explore, and has its own glow worms just a short 2...

The room is a fun little cabin set just outside town. The cabin is cozy and well-appointed. It included delicious food for breakfast available on our schedule. The last night we were there, it stormed like crazy. It was beautiful and we were warm and comfortable inside. The glo worm caves were very cool, too. The hosts were great, too....

The two tiny cottages at Te Tiro are as far removed from five star hotel luxury as you can imagine. The other end of the spectrum, with one room offering a little kitchen and dining area and a double bed, with two futons on the mezzanine floor above, accessed by a sturdy wooden ladder at the foot of the bed....

We had a very pleasant stay at Te Tiro, with kind, genuine, down to earth hosts who were very helpful in receiving our baggage that missed the plane from Sydney and making sure everything was as dust free as possible for our daughter's allergy problem. The cottage was cute and cosy, the private glowworm viewing area was ace, and the...

“Te Tiro is located about 15 mins out of the town centre along a winding road - it is best to find it during daylight - the owners will give you good directions either way”

“Both cabins are the same. Be aware that they are small and the bathrooms are separate but very close by. Do not expect luxurious but come with a sense of adventure. It was difficult to take good photos of the interior of the cabins but there are good ones on the website.”
