This was my third trip to this island paradise in the last 15 years. The snorkling scenery weather and beaches cannot be beaten anywhere, repeat anywhere. My prior accommodations were somewhat more modest, mostly because we (wife and daughter) spent little or no time in our accommodations and most waking hours on a beach, or in the water or walking to the many scenic areas, or diving from boats just fabulous experience. This time we wanted to be able to spring into action after a great breakfast and a good sleep in a better class hotel with amenities. This is the one we chose from a very short list Fernando is small and access is limited so choice is more limited than in the vast majority of sea side resorts on the main land. Breakfast was ample the pool relaxing the drinks refreshing and the distance to the numerous attractions short. We hired a Dune buggy (because we are getting older) and we got around quite easily from here to all major attractions. The breakfast was excellent the staff pleasant the pool fine service quick rooms cool and comfortable good TV connections as well ie it was great. …
We stayed at the Dolphin for nearly a week and every aspect of our stay was delightful. The staff were phenomenal and friendly and helped with all of our needs. The food from the kitchen was consistently excellent and the included breakfast was a PHENOMENAL spread that changed every day. The rooms were clean and modern. The pools and grounds were impeccably maintained. The location was ideal. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer.
We had a great stay here for 5 days. The hotel is very simple like most of them in the island but the service is outstanding. Every employee tries to do their best and are glad to make your stay very pleasant. Breakfast is diverse with a lot of fruits. they also offer an afternoon tea every day at 4pm. The pool facilities are good but you won't need it being in such a beautiful island! The only suggestion offer the nespresso coffee for free as in any hotel in the world! I think it's very weird to make the guests pay for that, being in Brazil a country where the coffee is good and not expensive...
The staff here really got us out of trouble, when the pousada we should have been staying didnt have our reservation (complete mess by lastminute.com) The girls on reception (spoke english) were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The pool was a fair size and pool bar not too expensive. (The whole island is expensive by Brazil standards) The rooms were nice, clean, air con, usb charger points and great shower. The food was great, normal kind of Brazilian breakfast, cold meat, cheese, fruit, etc in on the price. Evening meals were good, although we didnt eat there often. The strange thing was the free afternoon tea. Never had this before in Brazil, but it was most welcome. Rather like another breakfast, but with flan or pasteries as well.
We enjoyed our stay at Dolphin Hotel. The room was comfortable, the service staff was friendly, English speaking (quite rare on the island) and attentive. They could help us booking some trips such as diving and renting a Quad. Lying at the poolside or inside the pool, drinking a coconut or cockatal and seeing the peak in the back was a good feeling. The island is expensive, that´s for sure, but once you´re here it´s great to afford a place like this one.
"Don't book the suite because it is not a suite but a room beside the main building: dark, no view and no charm."Read full review
