Many people do not care about AC, and others can do without internet for awhile...and some don't mind a top-sheet on the bed that is not cleaned between guests. If you are one of these than this is a great hotel...Super nice staff. My suite was spacious--2 bathrooms and a gigantic 'private' porch on the back with white hammocks. Great fresh fruit welcome drink and a good restaurant, all on an island that is still missing critical tourist infrastructure. The spacious porch on the back of the suite looked straight into the porch of guests in the other building...

It’s not the most luxurious hotel in the island, but the warmth of the team makes you feel at home. All our requests were fully delivered, so we could just enjoy. Early wake up call everyday by neighbor cocks.

Our trip to Fernando de Noronha left us with mixed emotions. The island itself is stunningly beautiful from a distance and the beaches some of the best we have ever been to. However, once you step away from the beach, you are confronted with what can only be described as long term neglect for the development of the island. I am simply cannot understand where all the money that is paid in entry fees and passes goes. Locals advise us the money is not returned to the island and it certainly appears that way. It is angering knowing that our hard earned travel money is lining the pockets of some corrupt or incompetent politician in Recife instead of giving us a better holiday experience. The amount of rubbish lying in the streets and the the general lack of quality infrastructure (e.g. airport, sealed roads, wharf etc) defies the high costs that tourists are charged. Roads are not sealed to the beach meaning that if it rains (and it rained every day for us) a trip to the beach is a mud infested struggle that simply ruins the experience. There is nothing fun about endlessly cleaning mud from your feet, your clothes, your buggy (normal cars simply cannot make it to the beach if it rains) etc. The locals we spoke to appear to be equally frustrated and they make up for it with their exceptional service, friendliness and food quality. Fortunately, the staff at the hotel were brilliant and were a large reason were were able to leave the island feeling happy and not completely ripped off. They were always friendly and willing to met our needs. Our trip would have been a disaster with out them. The hotel facilities were perfect for our needs - clean and well presented. The food was good although overpriced for the quality which varied too much - sometimes the food was perfect and other times overcooked (e.g. our lobster dinner). I doubt that we will ever return to the island as it is overpriced compared to other travel options elsewhere in Brazil (e.g. Amazon, Pantanal) and the rest of the world. However, if we do return, we would certainly stay at Pousada Triboju again.

Great Pousada. Very professional and nice staff. 5-star service, including restaurant. Rooms a bit small and dark (no view), and swimming pool is rather a bathtub. Relaxing environment. The beach is very near, so is the little town with restaurants. Bring your mosquito repellant! The hotel organized our diving trips. Recommended!

Our room was a luxury suite. In reality it was a two regular rooms with a door between them removed to create some sort of living room. The room was dark and noisy because of the Our view was to a back cement block wall. The pool is not a pool. Small and dirty not used at all by the guests. It is close to the city center but in the middle of nowhere. The hotel staff was not supporting ( they were not informing us that the passport was needed to do the beaches permit ...). They helped us in renting a buggy old and not working properly. We only appreciated the commitment of one of them helping us in paying with credit card instead of cash it. Breakfast is on demand And you need to order avoiding to have a lot of things that you will not eat. Frankly speaking is not in line with the rate and the expectations.
