My family and I were there for a whole week and we felt like home! Great place and great staff! They helped us with lots of tour and restaurantes booking and even helped us plan what to do for the week! When I come back to Noronha that’s definitely where I’ll stay!
I booked this B&B online through a hotel website and it turned out to be a nice stay, but I wish I had booked directly or through a travel agent. The island is filled with fun stuff, but we went during Carnaval which meant this year it was early March (start of rainy season) and the island was full of Brazilian vacationers. Therefore, lots of activities had to be booked in advance such as renting a buggy for island sightseeing and visiting Atalaia cove for snorkeling. As Fernando de Noronha is not so easy to get to, I suspect we may not have another chance to visit... which is too bad because of all the nice places to visit. The room we were configured in "Ocre" had a queen bed + two twin beds for the kids. I told reception that the kids normally sleep with us when we travel, but it seems some sort of code they need to adhere. The AC power is hooked up to sensors on the bathroom door and the main room door to avoid running when these are ajar. Neat feature, but often resulted resetting the AC everytime someone went to the bathroom. As the B&B is kind of indoor / outdoor, there are little bugs you need to contend with early morning and early evening - take lots of bug repellent. There are also little reptiles probing around (geckos and tiny frogs), harmless and probably controlling the bug population, but if you get freaked out by these little guys, be forewarned. Breakfast is fine - made to order eggs and tapioca (local specialty in the north of Brazil). Sometimes little bugs find their way to the food ware, so just double check before you serve yourself. There is a buggy which belongs to the B&B, but it was rented on the day we would have liked to use it. (R$300+ per day) One day when the sun came out, we scrambled to call a cab and because the port was out of service that day (all boat excursions were cancelled), there were no cabs available. One of the guys at the B&B drove us to Sancho so we could snap some pics before going to see the turtle class at Sueste Beach. It was a welcome gesture considering we would have missed the opportunity to see the sun / turtles. Overall the hosts are friendly and accommodating... with good recommendations on dining and sightseeing with the kids. They also have a good hook up with Fernando who is a tour guide for the island. …
The rooms were nice and clean. Some staff members extremely helpful and friendly, others not helpful at all. Not really suitable for families with babies as difficult to navigate with stroller. Unfortunately the small jacuzzi was out of order. The breakfast was ok, but limited healthy options. Worst of all that they had a construction almost the entire week during our stay with a lot of noise and dust in the common area. This should not happen during high season. Last but not least, during the booking they offered free transport between the airport and the pousada on both the day of arrival and departure. But on departure day they suddenly mentioned that we are not entitled anymore as we didn’t book any tours with their preferred tour operator. So we had to book two taxis instead. The island itself is beautiful but next time I would chose a different pousada, preferably one at the beach or at least in walking distance. …
This pousada is una very good position in Fernando. Everything was perfect: breakfast, attention to details, rooms comfortable and always tidy. Paula and the staff were always supportive to requests. They also gave us the opportunity of a late check out for free because they of our flight schedule. Last but not least, the price-quality is excellent!
we spent four night in this cozy "boutique hotel". Fully satisfied by their kindness and services. total availabilty in offering late checkout for free. Very clean and silent. One of the best choice in the island. Reccommended!
