I made an error when booking my room. I picked the wrong night and sent an email in hopes that someone could assist me. The executive coordinator was top notch! She immediately responded to my issue and helped me out tremendously. I was a pain too because I added on multiple packages and later had to change the date AGAIN, this time not in error. She was prompt in response and very helpful again! So these packages I added: 1. Pool reservations. If you stay here you need to go to the rooftop deck!! Great views, cool atmosphere, fun drinks and apps 2. Pet package- I was picking up a kitten at the airport for my family- this hotel is pet friendly and inviting! 3. On site parking- in NYC parking is hard to come by, this was simple, easy and right out front. We had dinner at the Paris Cafe which was mouthwatering. Our room was clean and adorable and fit the theme while being updated and feeling new. It was like taking a walk back in time. Fantastic hotel, cool concept, and amazing customer service! Can’t wait to stay again!

The last time I was in this building was over 40 years ago as a kid flying on a TWA 747 from New York to Miami. I always looked longingly at this empty building wondering what would become of it. Now it is a 500 room hotel and a great place for a Staycation! I enjoyed roaming through the building looking in all the alcoves and seeing all the exhibits. The food court is good, the gym was very good (but has limited hours on weekends and closes early in the evening; i would have expected it to be open 24 hours), I enjoyed drinks on the Connie plane (only open on weekends so don't come here mid-week if you care), and the Jean-Georges restaurant was excellent. I was in the Hughes presidential suite with big windows overlooking the runways so I won't tell you the room was small. The bathroom was very nice and I liked the 60s- themed room decor; the bed was comfortable with good AC. I was perturbed that they didn't put anything in there upon arrival, not even some nice toiletries or a bottle of water or some fruit or anything. Booking the suite doesn't give you any priority at a restaurant or at the pool. A family of 4 has to pay $200 just to go to the pool on the weekend with 2 hour sessions going all the way till 11pm (but you can go daily before 10:30am for free as a hotel guest). Also, there are only 8 pool lounges so the first ones in get the lounges. They have good food at the pool but you have to be a hotel guest to be allowed to pay extra to use the pool. They clearly want to keep out the riff-raff. On the weekends it can be busy up there although I went there on Sunday at 5:30pm and I was able to get a lounge for myself (but a family of 4 would be much harder so you might want to go for the first session at 11am and get your lounges). You can walk right into the JetBlue terminal from here and end up in the baggage claim area. Yes, it's like stepping into a time machine, right down to the old pay phones on the wall, the old departure boards and the luggage belts behind the check-in desks. Moon River was playing in the terminal and I wished my wife were around (she was traveling), so we could dance to it. I awoke seeing an Eastern Airlines plane on the tarmac and wondered if my eyes were playing games; turns out the airline was revived and now flies to Ecuador. I am looking forward to coming back with the kids (they have connecting rooms) and I'm sure it will be a great overnight activity! The whole concept was executed wonderfully and I hope that others will follow.

Get over the stained carpet, inconsistent service and expensive food people! This place is a unique concept and totally worth a visit if you appreciate something different or are an airline enthusiast. Crammed with retro memorabilia, this is half hotel half museum.

I had read the reviews of this hotel and was worried but we were flying out of JetBlue on an early flight so we decided to try it. I must say it was cool. We had Mister Softy for a treat and enjoyed a cotail from A wonderful bartender in Connie. The man who greeted us at check in was really welcoming. We travel with my dad and he was joking with my dad about having too much ice cream. With post COVID travel involving so much stress often staying here for the night really was a great start to the trip. We had 2 rooms and they managed to get them on the same floor. The rooms were clean and we were at JetBlue check in the next morning in less than 5 minutes. The carpet does need to be replaced with something easier to roll luggage on I hope but I understand they have already ordered this. Great job TWA in turning around your staff and hopefully your hotel.

Had the luxury of having to drop someone off at Terminal 5 JFK and spend a night at theTerminal 5 TWA Hotel. It was like a time capsule. Nostalgic 1950-1960 decor and cars adorn the lobby. A few bars, restaurants or poolside to pass the time. Rooms are comfortable with multiple views, the roofto pool and bar is a must, if even for a few hours midday. Paris Cafe menu could please all palates. Our favorite was the old propped TWA plane bar which had comfy seats and great atmosphere. The staff will take great care of you. 24 hr Cafe avaliable. Enjoy
